And they thought we were One Hit Wonders. Thank God we didn't play them in Super Bowl 52. We would've never heard the end of "it was just the Jaguars".
Look, I get it: NFL players are larger-than-life personalities. Their boastful attitudes are often not just encouraged, but rewarded. We follow big names with big attitudes, and sports coverage talks about them all the time. But to get that attitude after only one good regular season? The Jaguars were painting targets on their backs so big, you could have hit them from space.
While it's definitely true that players should reign it in, I think making it to the NFL does require a certain kind of energy, that can lead to cockiness. I blame that on the head coach.
Well, they are two generational talents, but the teams they were at the time depended too much on them, which says a lot about 3 teams that never won a ring

Panda Energy was just looking to make even and then sell TNA, and WCW was a disaster once ‘Billionaire’ Ted sold his stocks and the AOL/Time Warner merge started to take place.
Y’all noticing a trend where whenever Tree makes one of these videos it’s primarily the owners who are the root of the problem? Wonder if that means anything ;)
You can look at any unsuccessful NFL team and it traces a straight line back to the owners. The NFL and its structure gives any organization the chance to field a competitive team its up to the organization to find a way to capitalize.
@Harry Engel they don't really have a job. They make money by owning a thing, that's not a job. What work are they doing? Maybe they spend an hour signing the checks if they own a football team. But they aren't doing any actual work.
You're noticing a trend because it's the answer. When a franchise is consistently bad, you have to look at the ownership. It's clear there are ownership problems with teams like the Jags, Giants, Jets. And it's not limited to the NFL. Every sports league is like this. People might hate teams like the Yankees, Dodgers, Patriots, Chiefs, but it was clear they had good ownership that knew the right people to hire and let them do their jobs, not interfering unless necessary. (And of course, the people they hired were able to find the right players). What happens is owning a sports team is basically like printing your own money. You really can't lose. So a lot of owners just care about owning the team and profiting, and never actually trying to make a good, consistently competitive team. Especially when the fans keep showing up and buying merchandise.
To people in analytics it was pretty obvious that 2017 was a fluke. No Andrew Luck or Deshaun Watson for most of the year. Also Defenses are fleeting. Combine that with their offense being trash and it was bound to collapse.

I like that u shout out Tom grossi. I love him
I was expecting the abbey voice
Super happy to see bigger channels like yours giving Grossi love. I'm a Vikings fan so I hate him with every fiber of my being but it's still good to see.
Lol I clicked on the tree notification and was confused when I saw Tom I thought I clicked the wrong noti
As someone who is already subscribed to Grossi. I was confused when I saw this video playing at my home screen seeing it was under Urinating Tree but Tom Grossi video. Had me thinking RUclips had lost its mind XD
The Jaguars now: Extreme Tanking for 2020-2021.
I was hoping for an episode of “Collapse” based on this Jacksonville team. But, knowing Tree did it is like McDonald’s handing me a whiskey sour with my order. All my favorite things in one sitting!
And they still made the "Collapse" video anyway, what luck.
UT hyping up a colleague: "he's a Packers fan but he makes up for it"
As a Titans fan, I'll say this: I praise you for making this video, Mr. Tree. God bless you.
