Ray Lewis saying “ oh my goodness” has me crying 😂😂😂
Came to the comments just to say the same thing. 🤣🤣🤣
You know it was a hard hit when Lewis said that lol
@@JDobrozsi1that’s what she said 😂
it's funny to me that the most violent hits here aren't flagged, and the ones where the defender had not other option but to drop his shoulder and absorb the runner's momentum and do their job were flagged significantly more...
NFL logic? Remember these are the same people who don’t understand what a catch is
Alot of them are due to rule changes over the years.
If it's the case that the defender was not going for a vicious hit it's more likely that it happened in the recent past where such a thing is penalized
Idk, the Ryan Clark on Wes Welker hit was straight up dirty.
@@D71219ONE Welker was hung out to dry over the middle more than any receiver i've EVER seen. TB12 needs to help that dude count his money in a decade or so..
Bro the Steelers and Ravens during that Polamalu and Reed timeline were dangerous!!
Mannnnnn those division games during that era were thrilling and painful to watch…one of the best rivalries in Football
@@Ellerich3if they met in playoffs, at least 6 people leaving with an injury.
As a steeler fan, yes that era of the rivalry was epic!
Osu mich
Yankees Red Sox
Army navy
Steelers ravens
4 rivalries unmatched
Surprised the Bart Scott sack on Big Ben wasn't on here.
Sean Taylor leveling Moorman in the Pro Bowl is still funny asf, bro had no reason to do that 😆
Sean Taylor did have a very good reason to hit that guy..... Because Sean Taylor was a real football player from the very core of his being.
That was ridiculous. He tried to decapitate the guy. Won't see that in the pro bowl anymore.
Didn’t last too long
@craigwheeler4760 probably tried to hit those robbers with his helmet too lolol
🤣🤣🤣🤣
my main issue nowadays, is when the ball carrier initiates helmet to helmet, he doesnt get penalized at all, but if a defender does it, hes flagged. clueless NFL these days lol.
For real! And then they ban the hip drop tackle. And they also won’t use grass fields.
i mean they get fined id say thats worse
That JuJu hit is one of my all time favorites. Straight payback on a dirty dirty player.
Agreed. Burfict absolutely deserved that.
And idc what those soft new rules say. Thats a damn good block
Damn straight
Burfict had that hit coming for a while
What I like is how legal a lot of these hits are.
Vicious hits dont mean illegal
@@brian8861it’s mostly clean hits of course nfl making it a girly sport 😅

It’s so incredibly annoying how some of the ones that are the cleanest get penalized.
It's not about safety of players, it's about the *appearance* of safety. If it looks big enough or sounds loud enough it gets flagged. Get better equipment, get better post-career care, and let people actually make contact in a contract sport.
Agreed, they hit shoulder to
Shoulder and still get penalized ridiculous
@@vanjones1749I think some of em were against defenseless players
@@ThatsSoBlasianBarrythey are given pads and a helmet for a reason. Defenseless player is a bullshit reason to take the defense out of the game.
So sad that most of the dominant defenses of the past would get flagged for most of their most impressive stuff today, hell don't even need to go back that far either, 10 years and you had defenses of San Francisco, Seattle and Baltimore and those heavy hitters would all be fined out of the league if they kept that up today.
Getting to watch the Steelers and ravens defenses at the same time was such great football, the games never going to be like that again 100% (probably good for the players, but it’s just not the same)
@@JakeRichards414who cares if it’s good for the players. The NFL is trans now and it’s lame

Peyton Manning, the master of the hospital pass.

It's football, it's like signing up for war, you have the chance of dieing
If you don’t want the risk, don’t play. Simple. It’s football, a full contact sport. Or it was before we became so feminized.
Do you play Gorilla tag
CTE is so blown over proportion... You realize soccer players get CTE? Who the hell is complaining about blood in the octagon? It's like complaining about violence on the field... That's the whole point, to be a champion you literally have to sacrifice your body...Ray Lewis and Ronnie Lott were willing to die on the field... That's the spirit of it and if it's not for you don't ruin it for other's these are grown men making their own decisions mind you...
Matt Milanos hit on Mike white should definitely be in here. Especially since it followed an already tough sack from Ed Oliver.
A lot of these hits were legal as far as no helmet to helmet contact, yet the flags were thrown. They should be reviewed
It's unbelievable some of these guys just pop right back up after these hits
Yep. I did not expect Brady to get up.
Adrenaline is powerful
I like how Shawn Taylor @5:12 gets hit wit a train, and gets back up like a madden character like nothing happened. 😂
RIP Sean Taylor. HTTR!
btw it was Taylor laying the hit on the punter in that Pro Bowl game.
Some of these hits are perfect examples of early retirement
Yeah, it might like great but it's brutal.
American Football at his glory... This is what fans like the most, but they don't realize the damage that those hits cause over time...
Yeah, causes players like Calvin Johnson to retire early or not be able to walk again
The fans wanting more of this and less protection aren't the ones willing to put their bodies on the line.
Then should not play.
Of course we know.
Glory can come at a high price.
Ray Lewis man….textbook tackling. Can’t get any better
That Ed Reed clip was amazing . Nearly blocked a punt and then ran across the field to make a tackle . His head barely moves like a predatory animal
He didn’t try to make a tackle he ran back to make a block. How’s he gonna tackle someone when his team was receiving the punt.
This is the definition of someone who doesn't know football
@@lucyfir2166 pardon?
Great hit but it’s a blind side hit and not a tackle lol Would you say the same with Hines wards or Juju’s blind side blocks? They look great but it’s shooting fish in a barrel type hits. As life long Steelers fan 40 plus years love it but thinking logically.
Ray hitting Jerome was like two buses hitting. That was awesome!!!
Imagine two versatile linemen going full tilt at each other? Some so big yet got speed it be 300 plus lbs colliding.
Ed Reed is the greatest safety to ever lace em up. And it's not even close
That hit at 3:52 was so hard he laid out his teammate too 😂
Half the flags thrown here were legal hits. The NCAA and NFL might as well convert to flag football while protecting owners investment rather than the game.
That Nebraska - Wisconsin block is the absolute best block to ever be punished. What are offensive players meant to do if the defenders' head isn't on a swivel? Let them just go by? That man knew what he signed up for when he crossed the sideline into the field, if he isn't capable of awareness he gets punished, not rewarded with a free pass to not be blocked
Nothing will top that Reggie bush hit😂 bro got murdered that day😂😂
Ed Reed's on the punt is still one of the best ones
Ed Reed yelling FM and then finding someone to lay the F out only for it to be followed up with Ray Lewis being iconic....chefs kiss moment lmao.

0:26 Ed Reed was an absolute menace. That turf was probably harder than a rock considering they were at the Colts' old stadium
A vicious hit not included here was Cam Wake and Suh hitting Bryce Petty. Man was flattened by 2 linemen coming at fullspeed
5:13 Sean taylor sent dude to the twilight zone and back 😂😂😂
Nothing more satisfying than someone trying to purposely hit someone with unnecessary force to not hit the other team’s player but their own teammate and injure themselves.
I've seen a lot of these but somehow hadn't seen that Derwin James hit. Wow, what a gem 🔥
The one at 1:00 still makes me smile on the inside
Having played collegiate defensive back. I understand how theyre buckling down on these hits. When a receiver is in the air like that it’s so easy to level them. But when your feet are on the ground you need to keep your head on the swivel.
Ed Reed and Ray Lewis was the dream team
Lewis was a unit and you can’t convince me otherwise
I hate how defenders in the NFL have to pretty much let a receiver catch it completely before they hit them. How tf does that make sense? I get not head shots but some of those were clean, theyre just super hard hits
I know it sucks to play defense sometimes now a days
As a Brit who has been watching the NFL since the days of Montana and Aikman one of the best compilations I have seen no question!
Thanks dawg! 🫶

I wish you'd shown what happened immediately after Cam Rising of Utah got hit by the USC defender. Cam Rising got right up in his own and started motivating nodding his head like that was nothing. He stayed in the game and lead Utah to beat USC. It was a statement moment where he showed he has what it takes to play at a higher level.
I’m a lifelong Bama fan. So I found Cam Rising after working the closing shift on Saturday nights at my job I’d come home and Utah was the last game of the night. I immediately thought that Rising was special and I think he will be a natural leader in the NFL for a team that desperately needs one
@TheJordanAntibellum I think desperate is the operable word. He can't seem to survive a Rose Bowl. Went down last year against Penn State with a torn ACL and the year before that against Ohio State with a concussion. He's a baller. If he can stay healthy, he'll make a statement. Like you, I'm now going to be stuck watching the west coast games late at night. Just moved from California to West Florida. I'm surrounded by Tides fans. So close to the state line that a wrong turn puts me into Alabama. It's a beautiful state, too. Gorgeous women, way more beautiful than in California. I return to these videos just so I can remember what good hitting, non-constant flag throwing football was like. Lost plays like 4:52, 2:56. A travesty
2:56 was flagged for illegal Block in the back on Kenny Bell (#80 for Nebraska)
I got a video suggestion. What about stand up sacks? Like when a defender is about to land a huge sack but the ref blows the whistle early indicating it's a sack.
That’s a terrible idea, respectfully
Gotta second that being a horrible idea respectfully
Utmost respect of course, but I’m seconding the guy who is seconding that this is a terrible idea
With all due respect, I'm gonna have to third the guy who is thirding the guy that this is a terrible idea

Kam Chancellor was a beast
He was 🔥
If you ever throw more highlights into this, make sure to add the John Metchie hit from the 2020 SEC Championship game. Holy hell.
A number of these plays that got flagged are prime examples as to why referees need to be suspended for bad calls when they make them.
The refs influence the game to the point where they get desired results, based on their Vegas bets.
I’m a niners fan and will forever call that hit on Davis CLEAN!
Hard hits apparently are against the rules. I see way to many flags for hard clean hits. If it looks violent they throw it like you're supposed to tackle politely
