They are quality products and a little goes a long way. I use the Clarifying shampoo,
50:50 balancing conditioner and the direct leave in. Great videos by the way!
Your hair is beautiful, I also have 4c hair and I would love my hair to be like yours. Thank you for making girls like me who have 4 type hair how to take care of it and love it. I also wanted to add that coconut oil is one of the best oil out there but it is not a seal in. Olive, coconut and avocado oil are the only three oils that do not seal but penetrate the hair. Hope this clarify, And again thank you for your help.
Love Giovanni and Trader Joe's products. The conditioners make the hair like butter. Will now have to get the hair mask.....

I have the same curl pattern as you (4a-4c) and I find giovanni works wonders for me also. I have a love/hate relationship with Shea moisture (depending on the line). It seems as though women with a looser curl pattern gravitate more so towards Shea moisture products...hmmm

Yeah me too a love & hate! I have noticed that those with looser curls rave about Shea moisture too so maybe it works better for them :) I literally have some of their products just sitting in my bathroom because they do nothing for my hair :( Thanks for watching dear xx
+Dephne Madyara With shea moisture it depends on the line. Fo example, the raw shea butter line works amazing for me, as well as the jamaican back castor oil line. But I tried some stuff rom the yucca and baobab line and it was useless.
+iLovelucY Very true, lots of ladies get hyped up ove Shea Moisture only to be disappointed.
Tbh its very obvious which shea moisture lines are intended for looser curl patterns and which are for type for "coily kinky" hair. On all their products it literally says what kind of hair its meant for , and plus if i look at the consistency and read the ingredients i can already tell whether it would work on my hair or not. Here is a hint: if it says its for dry or damaged hair, it usually works on type 4 hair because its the most moisturizing.

The marvel that is natural hair. I found it was the exact opposite with my hair. Could not, for the life of me, figure out what all the rave about Giovanni products was all about...but Shea Moisture?! Oh my gosh! Can I tell you about the stash I have in my house thanks to Target Cartwheel and manufacturer's coupons? LOL

sysmjp3 My hair texture is much different from Daphne's. Products that work for her 4C hair only weigh mine down. Perhaps that's why.
Did you get a lot of shedding when you color your hair? if you did how did you fix the problem?

In my case I'm about to give up from having curl hair and using natural products because I have been using them almost for year, and I don't see the results. Each time I do protective stile on hair my it grows a lot; however it falls right after I comb my hair or finger comb it. i just realized that any products works for me. Lastly I have been watching you and I love so much the way you do your videos, especially when you talk about the bible cause I'm christian too. Please help me. During these days I'm not taking care of my hair cause I'm too busy with my finals, and I also don't want to do nothing but protecting my hair with braids. so I will be waiting for your answer. Hi Dephne can I just finger detangle my curly hair I noticed when I detangle with a brush or a comb it hurts and I and very gentle when I am detangling with the tool but it still hurts can I just finger detangle my curly hair just like you to maintain length 😀 my curly hair is down to past my shoulders please help

I need you help please. I have pretty fine hair that tend to break a little bit when stretched. I big chopped in oct 2014, and now my hair is in just pass my collar bone. I want to reach Bra strap length (or more) by Dec 2016 ( which based on my first year growth is quite achievable). I want to reduce hair breakage, I do protective styles systematically, buns, buns, buns. I do hot oil treatments and deep conditioning every week. I do braid to stretch my hair after watching it and put it afterward in a bun. But my hair LIKES TO CURLS!! AS SOON AS IT HITS WATER =Allo remember me your friend the curls. So I have to detangle which for fine hair= a little bit of breakage. I don't know if I am 4 a b or c. My sister say I have baby hair or that my hair is as soft as bay hair... My wash and go are very define even without product ( I have done about 5 in a year). So my question is should I respect my hair wish to curls and risk tangling and more breakage in the long run ? How would that affect my growth goal ? I want length but I also want to keep as much hair on my head as possible...

I've been using their shampoo, conditioner and leave in conditioner, all sulfate free. And argan oil based. It encourages elasticity which is good because my hair shrinks terribly lol. And when I tried Giovanni, it shrank it all the way up :( My hair is much like yours, though not as long so if you haven't tried some Creme of Nature, you should :)
I need to try to stop using a comb to detangle and try using my fingers more....I should have less shedding hopefully
