Flexi Rod Set on my 4C Natural Hair & A Trim

- Im trying to use minimal products when styling my hair so that its not weighed down as well as avoiding build up until my next wash day. Here i had previously done a hot oil treatment, shampooed and conditioned it then i did a twist out and threaded it to stretch it further.
Products used:-
Giovanni vitapro fusion (here) - amzn.to/1O9hwu0
Castor oil - get a certified organic one
I use Giovanni Vita fusion as a leave in and apply castor oil to my ends. then trimmed off my stringy ends about 2 inches off before flexi rod setting it.

It came out really pretty!
I have not had a relaxer since November with the plan to let it grow out. I washed my hair with WEN yesterday after putting the conditioner in O had so many knots in it I got out of hr tub, got the scissors and just started cutting. It's probably three inches or shorter right now. I have not had my hair natural since around the age of 13 or 14. Lets see how it goes.
Turned out great! Did you find a saloon to straighten your hair? So curious to see what it would look like. Patiently waiting in Cape Town :)
I honestly dont understand how your hair is so long. We have exactly the same type of hair and I can't get it past an inch after shoulder lenght- been 6 years natural too.
I keep telling my bf God has really blessed you even with the small things in life and he thinks it's ridiculous to think hair is a sign of blessing haha but I believe it.

My flexi rods never come out that well haha, I'll have to keep practicing. I never thought to trim my hair in it's natural state like that, I'll try it soon when I take down my small twists!

Wow.. I've never trimmed my hair in its natural state I've always been taught to straighten my hair first so I can see where it's actually split have you always trimned your hair and its natural state?
+Mikelle Rogers not i haven't hun it this is the best i could stretch it with using heat my natural state would be 75% shrinkage and my hair would be above my shoulders xxx

I've done this hair style and within an hour my hair falls flat. What do you do to keep it this way? i.e. Fullness

+pamela russell there comes a point in life, where you get bored, and decide to spice things up a bit. I'll be honest I wasn't so keen in the color change, but over time.... it kind'a grew on me.....
or maybe her overall hair health has improved. Either way, she looks great.

+Ebizzill couldn't of said it better... I think the water only washing stint improved her hair moisture level. maybe? the overall health does seems better regardless if the excessive drying color is known to do. seems to not be an issue if your take the time. YAY for Dephne.
