Thank you for this video. I went to my local quilt shop today with the intent to buy the 2010. They didn't have it but had the 18. I had done my research for the 2010 vs the 2000, but didn't even look at the 18. This answered a lot of questions I had about the 18 vs the 2010. So thank you for that. It was nice seeing all 3 machines side by side and getting that comparison like that.
I have to say, Juki Junkies has been my go to place for all my threads. TL 18 is definitely a work horse if you are a bag maker or FM quilter. My 2 cents worth.

I have been seriously eyeballing the TL2010Q--watching ALL the videos. I might just give myself an early Birthday present (well, not that early, it's in October) 😀
Some the things you are calling a "deal breaker" really are not. Once you have been quilting for a while the speed isn't a big issue. The foot also has a decent amount of clearence when raised, so unless you are trying to sew through an abnormally thick chunk of foam the microlifter also isn't a "deal breaker".
Best people to talk to about a Juki, and the only ones who were able to locate a scant quarter foot for me, after I did hours of research. It isn't a separate foot, it's the standard presser foot!
I have had my TL-2010Q for 11 years and I love it as much as I did the day I bought it! I’m a quilter and my previous machine had all the bells and whistles. I never used them. Useless expense. I’m trying to decide between a 1541s or the tl 18. The biggest issue for me is space. I don’t think I have space for an industrial machine right now. But given they are so close in price I worry that I will still feel limited if I don’t get the industrial. For bag making I struggle with my current domestic machines. Any advice on how to decide if price is not the deciding factor?
I am a Bag and Accessory maker and have a 1541. I sews thru 8 oz leather like butter; however, it seems a bit heavy for basic accessories and bags. It is also perfect for heavy straps on horse blankets. I am considering the TL18 for most of my bag/accessory making, but need to research the range of thread sizes it takes. The 1541 will only go down to a 69 and for basic accessories that does look a bit too large. In addition, I have a servo and speed reducer on the 1541 which added to the cost. Sorry for jumping back and for between the machines, just jotting down thoughts as they come to mind. Hope that helps
Kathy you have great points… you almost need both as they’re made for different purposes in the bag making world. One complements the other… with that being said it really depends on your bags and what materials you’re using. A lot of our customers love the TL-18 for bag making and need nothing more. But some need the 1541 for their heavier duty bags with real leather and thicker layers. Give us a call we’d be happy to help you out. 813-661-9000
Hi everyone, I found a juky tl 98p here in Italy. but I can't figure out which model comes closest to these in the video. can you help me? do you know what model it is?
I would say so! It’s straight to the point, of course with any machine you have to take some time to learn it but that’s what we are known for! Our customer service, let us know if you have any questions.
I *thought* I didn't need all of the extra feet that come w/the Haruka. Penny wise & pound foolish. I've purchased many of those feet, and it's cost me more than the price difference btwn TL-2010Q & Tl-18QVP.
@@yolandarowe3094 that's very true, plus you don't get that micro lifter. We recommend the TL-18 to customers who have a bigger budget and want to sew through thicker materials.
And if it's not clear, it's also variable speed ... controlled by your foot on the pedal, like a car. The slider only sets the maximum speed when the pedal is pressed to the floor.
advise My sewing machine needs no design. I will design with pen on fabric and sew using free motton on sewing machine. There will be only two layers of cloth. One above and one below. So which is the best sewing machine in low budget
I am sold on a Juki. I am debating between the DX7. What would be the benefit of having both? I have old machines. I currently sewing garments, piece, and want to machine quilt.
Both the Juki DX7 and Juki TL models are great machines. They are really not comparable since one is a straight machine and the other is computerized. If you need a decorative stitch, zig zag, and button maker then I would get the DX7 because you need that for garments. I do have customers that have both machines. I am happy to discuss with you if you like. Feel free to call me direct at 813-376-5015. Have an awesome day . Gigi
I used to have a TL 98e and purchased the DX7 and gave my sister the TL. I am a quilter and although the throat space was comparable, the slender head on the TL has much more visibility for quilting than the DX7. They are both beautiful machines.
If I choose not to get the micro lifter, could I accomplish its purpose by using the knee lift for the presser foot and lifting the presser foot a tiny bit?
@@JukiJunkies Back in the 1980's I sewed in the Jansport factory in Everett WA. and sewed on all the factory machines. Later I had 3 factory machines at home and sewed for interior designers. My serger was a Juki which I loved and got me hooked on Juki machines. ( I think it was an 812). My lockstitch at the time was a Singer 181-1 with no reverse. We lifted the presser foot with a knee lift just a little bit to sew backward and to create space for extra thick situations. I no longer have those machines and am looking for a Juki for my sewing now which includes a lot of quilting. As a single little old lady, living in a very small place I need a smaller machine and am thinking about the TL-2010. I see no reason why that wouldn't work with the Juki TL-2010. Have you tried it?

They're all the same I recommend checking them out here to get the Christmas bundle we have going on right now :) jukijunkies.com/product/juki-tl-2010q/?v=1d20b5ff1ee9

what is the difference between the tl-15 and the tl-18?
The micro lifter and accessories
Hi everyone, I found a juky tl 98p here in Italy. but I can't figure out which model comes closest to these in the video. can you help me? do you know what model it is?
It will be similar to the Juki Tl-2000
Is the TL18 a good beginners machine to start quilting?
I would say so! It’s straight to the point, of course with any machine you have to take some time to learn it but that’s what we are known for! Our customer service, let us know if you have any questions.
Love my 2018 that my dealer sold to me for the price of the 2000. Yey!
I love the 2010, but u have haruka envy.
I want a Juki like this but with zigzag with the same frame with knee lifter
we hope one day they'll make a TL style machine that offers a zigzag.. it would be like the BEST seller :)
I am looking for this machine too. Janone offers 1600 speed with free winder.. I can't decide yet😮😢😢
Does anyone know if the speed control allows multiple speeds, say very slow, slow, medium, fast? Or is it simple slow versus fast?
Hi Bryson, I have the TL2010Q, and it's an analog slider, so it has all kinds of speeds in between turtle and rabbit.
And if it's not clear, it's also variable speed ... controlled by your foot on the pedal, like a car. The slider only sets the maximum speed when the pedal is pressed to the floor.
I would like to know the price of these machines.

@@JukiJunkies - thanks. Too expensive for me My machine is just for playing, I don't produce anything for sale.
advise
My sewing machine needs no design. I will design with pen on fabric and sew using free motton on sewing machine.
There will be only two layers of cloth. One above and one below. So which is the best sewing machine in low budget
Hi where does the 2200 QVP mini sit in comparisson?

Can we get the TL18QVP in the UK?
It’s not available in the U.K., but you could find the Juki TL2200 which was the previous model.
What about the Juki TL 2200 QVP ?
The TL2200QVP is no longer produced in the USA only outside of the USA. The TL18 Haruka has replaced that model.
Where can I get this machines in africa
I am not too sure :/ Do you have any Juki dealers?
Hey there. Incase you have a Juki TL 2010 Q that you are selling, kindly let me know
How much for machine?
eh not much check out JukiJunkies.com ;)
If I choose not to get the micro lifter, could I accomplish its purpose by using the knee lift for the presser foot and lifting the presser foot a tiny bit?
Not really. What type of sewing do you do?

Background noise is very distracting. Other than that thanks for the video
Yes I was going to add my own comment about that background noise seriously? Could they not have just been quiet in the background for the length of time she was talking?
Va rog o adresa foresc sa cimpar si eu ,pret va rog
the sewing sound in the background is so distracting and can't hear well what she says.
Thank you though for the comparison.
We will make a new video on this soon :) We have much better recording studio now to do so.

By removing the features on the machines. ,,you are having the quality drop. Make one model like Janome. With everything. Done. Stupid idea.
