Thank you David for this in depth comparison. I didn't know you guys go over each machine prior to shipping until spoke with you on the phone this past week. My TL2000 will be here Monday and I can't wait to get her set up. It took me two years to pull the trigger! I have been watching your vids for a long time and have shared your information with many. Keep up the great work y'all!!❤️✂️🧵👏🏻
This was very helpful! I have had the same Juki TL2010Q for over 10 years and it still sews fabulous. I am in the market for another machine as a back up and this was an excellent video to help me decide if I want a different machine. Thank you so much!
@JukiJunkies I am looking for a semi industrial professional sewing machine with straight + Zigzag. Without the need to switch the plate like the DX-4000QVP. Mostly regular sewing and less quilting. Thank you for your help.
I have a TL-98E and yes, purchased in 1998. It a fabulous machine. After watching this, I realize that it came with many more feet than the subsequent models - although the guide for the walking foot would be awesome to have. I've been thinking about buying a newer Juki and wanted to compare what I have to what is out there since newer doesn't always equal better. I really appreciate this video.
Thank you for the comparison. I would also mention that the 18 allows for holding in the needle down/up button to take one or more slow stitches. This is useful when stitching around corners or curves.
Love the video and all the information you gave. I got the 2010 as a birthday gift in 2020 and love it for sewing and free montioning small quilts, table runners and wall hangers. Its great sewing on vinyl, canvas and it has repaired our dining fly that we use in our travels out west for rhe winter stays in our 5th wheel. Highly recommend the Juki 2010q to my fellow quilters!
Note if you have a Quilting Frame and you want to use your machine on it with a Grace Stitch Regulator be sure to check the model suits. I bought a QVP2200 (version of a TL18) which is the quilting model but the regulator only suited the TL2010. Rgds Charmaine in Australia PS love Juki Junkies thanks for all the tips....
This video made me go with the Juki brand... for My 1st semi industrial sewing machine. It's being shipped, not used it yet... but I look forward to a great experience 🎉. Thanks
I have a 2010 and I love it! The only thing I wish it had was a selector to set whether the needle stops up or down. It is set to stop needle down, and most of the time that's great, but there are times I wish it would stop needle up.
@@JukiJunkies I’m settling on the TL 2010Q. I have been sewing for a few years now and really want speed since I sew to sell. I’m also free motion sewing which gives me so much creative power to be original. And now that I just started quilting, I want to do the quilting myself. And honestly this model is reasonably priced for me.
I thought I had read that folks DIDN’T like the walking foot that came with these and sure enough, mine made what looked like light snags on my Tula sateen backing. I went ahead and ordered the even feed walking foot from you guys. Please tell me I haven’t spent $100 plus to buy the same walking foot.
Juki had some warranty issues on a batch of them however they have been sorted out since then. If you ever have an issue you can contact Juki America for a replacement as well.
No one talks about interchanging universal high shank feet among juki models. By juki models, I mean those high shank machine you just showed and models you did not show. Also juki seems to treat purchasing customers differently. I found that australia folkes could get a fantastic bundle of feet that we in the Usa have trouble just finding. I just purchased the 2010 and bought a quilting frame with which to experiment. My machine is so sturdy and strong feeling. Wish it had better lighting. I understand that the 2010 is a relatively new model addition to the line. Liked your presentation. Thank you.
Great video I have a juki HZL LB5100 which I love, and it works for piecing quilt blocks together. But it does not have the throat space height. Or Weight, and it does not come close to comparing to the TLC machines. I love how you explained the differences on all the TLC machines. It was very informative and I save this video. And joined your site to receive all the videos. I can only aspire to hopefully in the near future to buy a TLC machine which I really really want. Looking forward to more of your videos, Thank You for your time and effort.
@@JukiJunkiesOH nooooooh😢😢😢, that answers my question. It is always great to have the zigzag option handy. I was about to buy the DX-4000QVP, but switching the feet dog plate to straight stitching is not interesting...😢😢
Great video! I only use an industrial 8700-7 but that new EB-1 is so appealing. I'm sort of considering getting one of the TLs for home. All of these machines seem fairly similar- but maybe that's because the focus was on the physical differences and accessories. I'm a garment sewist. Do you think I'd find one of these more similar to my 8700? I'm also very curious if there's a pressure foot regulator. I like a lot of pressure. I saw the micro adjuster but that's more for the quilting crowd and negative pressure I think, right? Thanks!
You would find the machine is going to be very similar to the 8700! The 8700 is the industrial form of the TL. The microliter is also good for sewers that are sewing over thicker straps on bags and such if you don't see the need for a negative pressure foot pressure save some money and get the TL-2010!
The gidget 2 is a great affordable option and if you want something fancy i love the the Kangaroo Aussie cabinet check out our sewing furniture here! jukijunkies.com/product-category/cabinets/
I wish you had shown the needle plate with the seam line markings on it. I would like to see what the 1/4" seam mark looks like and how long it extends.
Are there any plans to make these exact machines with a 10-12” throat? Really want a Juki but want MORE space. Why are the larger throat spaces only on the computerized models?

the tl2200 is like the 2010 in this video and the tl2300 is like the TL-18 i am pretty positive. Look for the micro lifter and that will be the give away :)
I really would prefer this machine with a complete metal covering instead of the plastic one - that's just me. I wonder if the Juki manufacturer is still producing them and would I be able to purchase the TL-2010Q model with the metal covering. Will someone from Juki get back to me, please? Thank you.
@JukiJunkies Thank you for getting back to me. I guess from the pictures, the machine being portable looked like it was lightweight and plastic, but I'm so happy that is not the case! Other sewing machine companies have a plastic covering and some plastic parts internally.

Why did they stop making the TL-2200qvp mini
Will they sew with 50 weight thread? My entire collection of thread is 50 weight.
I always piece with Aurifil 50 wt I have the tl2000 no speed control lol
Yes they will! They love this thread
They will sew with lots of different weights no worries.
Question: Are all of the accessories interchangeable amongst all of the featured machines?
Why did you not include the qvp2200 mini in this comparison?
That is a discontinued machine so we didn't include it; its comparable to the TL-2010.
@@JukiJunkies thanks. I do love mine!
Thank you!
Do you have local pick up ?
Yes we do!! Brandon Fl
TL 18 beautiful and solid, but when auto cutting thread it leaves such a short tail!
Adjust the sub tension unit on the top loosen it up and it will length the tail!
I wish I could buy one of your Juki at your price
Call us maybe you can :) We love making special things happen! - David
You mention the top sub tension controls the tail length of your thread. I want to know more about that but I don't see a video for it.
It just helps control the tail length when you use the auto cutter :)
Are the motors all the same?
YES :)
