Possibly the best looking Mk1 Fiesta I've seen, wouldn't do anything different! Absolutely love that exhaust. Awesome van as well... would be perfect for the bikes!

A trip down memory lane on so many levels.
Let’s get the bad bit out of the way.
1995-2005 sometime between there went to PE to have some work done (remap) travelled a few hrs to arrive to be told the map guy was off ill. No one informed me, and was 2 hrs drive home gutted. You know what they say about meeting your hero’s. I was inspired by them and their work, and was crushed that day.

Ah Sorry to hear they messed you about that day. Its Now its owned by keith who is mint and wouldnt let anything like that happen. Also Unfortunately they no longer have a rolling road which is a real shame and the tuning side of things have dropped off a bit, they do still have some pretty mint drag cars in as Keith is a real american mussle drag car kind of guy .

@@mikefpe I love the sound of a turbo ticking over and the spool up and chatter.
However, there is also something of an American muscle car just ticking over and you know there is a beast under the bonnet.
@@rstjx3j183 chris todd used to work there years ago, he moved onto torque of the devil then Ecutec he would have been the tuner on the rolling road.
Get your self a exshaust valve mate they are spot on. I had exactly the same problem as you when I moved house and my new neighbor's with my evo 5. Now I just pull into my road active my exhaust valve so and park up basically on idle had 0 complaints for over 2 years now.
I’ve ordered a bigger can and am making some baffles to insert up the side exit. Will see if that makes any difference. If not then I need to probably make and put a whole system on it for road use.
@@mikefpe yes sounds like a plan as you explained in the video. I have a hks super dagger system on mine with a sports cat just under 92db so track legal in most places but still quite loud on idle coming home at night the exhaust valve works a treat don't write it off they really work wonders. Problem is you won't be able get rid of the sound to a good enough degree without restricting the exhaust gases is what I found.
@@danielgreen4213 yer this is my concern. Will play around with what I have and see how good I can get it.
@@mikefpe hopefully you get it sorted as you have planned. I use the Apexi exhaust control valve ECV its cable operated I have mounted the pull lever hand brake. Then had my decat pipe modified to it just simply bolts inline with the decat and down pipe i adjusted the cable so it only shuts to about 80% maximum. So I use it coming home at night or driving through small towns city etc you can get electric ones and all sorts nowadays.

1st car I bought was a W plate Supersport when I was working down in Tibury & living in Folkestone.
God how I wish I still had that wee car.

My m8 at the time from Dover had an xr2 with a Burton in it & it went like stink.
There’s a guy local to me up here in Scotland that’s got an xr2 with a 2.4 (I think) in it & it can fair shift.

First car was a spearmint MK1 Fiesta 1300 sport, on standard rims.
Twin choke carb.
One particular instance, raced back from Southend to Basildon with a MK1 Black XR2. He was pissed of as struggled to stay with me and had only just spent a lot of money on his car. Let’s be honest, doubt there would have been much between a 1300 & a 1600.
The only thing different on mine, was I had access to a range of injectors. I had changed the originals. That was the only mod I did.

Bilt Hamber autofoam mate, closest thing you can get to a no contact wash, only snow foam I’ve ever used that actually cleans the car..😂

Lost the will to live by 1.45. I love my matt black cars. Washed with the grottiest dropped on the ground and covered in angle grinder grit yellow sponge and washing up liquid. Shiny cars are too needy. Detailing. Pah.
i had a mk1 fez painted in NATO green tank paint. was a mint daily could wash it with an old sock and a garden hose and it would still look mint.

It’s a vw beetle fender rubber strip. You can get rolls of it off eBay 👍🏻

@@mikefpe It's a "lazy man's" ceramic coating, you spray it on (diluted ofc) a wet car and rinse it off, and the paint is protected for up to three months. I use it on my daily and it works great even in the winter 👌🏻

Snow foam is just used as a Pre wash then you wash car then you clay bar..
so should i have put it on dry ? then used the mit and bucket after? ha im still learning this craft
Everyone rinses of car first before anything then snow foam then rinse off foam then shampoo then clay bar using water or a clay bar spray so it glides over paintwork then polish, no big deal..
