- Spent the day down at FPE HQ playing race cars with the boys.
Looking at how we can turbo the old 1.1 mk2 and we raised up Squiz's Xr so he can cart people around in the back seat.

Cool project. I had a mk4 escort 1.3 with a turbo conversion. Used a t2 off a fiesta and a SU carb off a metro turbo. Good boost when choke was on!
M J we used the Montego carb on Kps zetec turbo fiesta years back.

I have an mk2 but it wont start if I do direct injecion it runs but as soon as I stop it dies
Seen a few 1.1 turbos started over the years. Never finished though.
I'd be inclined to run Megajolt or similar for the ignore though.
Saves messing with saab advance modules which have got to be pricey now.

Where did you get coil overs from? I’m over in the US and am having trouble locating some parts, coil overs being one of the things
Cordell Wingerd company called gaz do them. They have a few options for road and motorsport use.
1.0 ecoboost & box in that mk2 would be cool esp with a nice big intercooler & a chunk of boost! 160bhp & a lump of torque would be ace.
yer we did discuss that. its the management that Lee doesnt want to shell out on. as we have alot of the parts to do the 1.1 turbo this is the route it will go. would be ace to see standard xr2 power on a 1.1. Id love to put an Eco boost engine in something tho.

they are 13 x 7's they are old wheels so best bet is on ebay. and the US rear lights are from America but again sometimes pop up on UK forums or ebay.

What a great place I love my fiestas I drive one everyday. I've owned a few, I've got my eyes on a beige mk2 1.1L that's sat in a friends garage since 2001. He's thinking of selling it and I would love to buy it and do a 1.8 or 2.0 Zetec conversion. Would love to take it down to this place when it's done. :)
if you want an epic set up id say ST170 on 45's in a mk2 with coilovers and poly bushes. = little go kart.

they are called Atiwe wheels, painted white with a polished lip.. gonna look killer ;)

will have to be ebay or the facebook groups. Germany seems to have some decent rare fiesta parts pop up. but then you have to deal with getting it shipped to MERICA! without it getting smashed up .

Its a £50 1.1 sewing machine engine, not a blue printed forged race engine. lol
Just saying u wouldn't have had to start it 400 times let it run for 30 seconds to warm up j it shunt cut out lol
@@paddykelly3095 ah that was the issue though it didnt want to run, idle or rev up, it had been standing for a few years.
Yh my old motorbike had same issue but once I tried to rwv it wud cut out as soon as it warmed up a touch it was fine

VV carb is pants, it will be binned off for a R5 carb, i think Lee has already bought one ;)
@@mikefpe Have you thought about using an SU? the R5 carb will be better though.
@@sidewayssam we do love an SU turbo carb. we used on on KPs red zetec turbo build. think a R5 carb is easier to find and a better suited size tho
