Dreamcatcher knew that bringing Rock into Kpop was risky. They were worried that their debut was going to fail. They knew it would be hard and that they'd have to be way better than everyone else just to get noticed. Everyone told them they were crazy. They knew the industry would push back on any change to the standard formula that was making it so much money. All of that happened, but they didn't give up, only worked even harder and they never abandoned Rock. Even though Korea wasn't listening, the rest of the world was, and have supported them through the years. Even though it took five years, the international fandom was the key that got them their wins on the music shows. Korean fans are fiercely loyal and together with international Somnies will always be there for them until the end.
I just don't get why RIOT does not get Dreamcatcher to sing songs for League of Legends????? Like, if you want epic, it should be none other than Dreamcatcher.
Other groups have no singers, few do, but they are never allowed to actually sing. There's just something about artists who can sing with all their vocal strength, instead of small vocals, that just make me elevate, and Dreamcatcher are just EVERYTHING in terms of talent and power, I cannot compliment them enough

I've been there some 20 time and it feels like most people disconnect from k-pop when they finish university. Almost impossible for a 3rd gen k-pop group to attract new fans in the younger generations. Naturally they listen to their peers and want to be like aespa, IVE, Babymonster etc. I feel like the average international audience is a good 5-10 year older than the average Korean audience. Also the international audience does not really care about what entertainment company a group come from. International fans discover Korean music from RUclips, AppleMusic, Spotify etc where company budget is much less important. While the Korean audience gets exposed to a lot of commercials through other channels....and there budget is important.
I heard some of Dreamcatcher's music a few years ago and I've always liked Dami. But now that I'm an InSomnia, I see how diverse each members talent is. Siyeon...I can't tell you how special she is. She immediately stood out to me. I knew right there she was my bias, maybe my ult even as I aspire to sing just like her lol. And her stage presence is unmatchable. It's crazy because I usually bias rappers and dancers or foreigners naturally. But Dreamcatcher in all, dancing, vocals, are special. This is what I've been looking for, for years. Never thought I would be streaming rock or metal music until I dove deeper into Dreamcatcher. They are now my favorite K-pop group. No one is doing it like them. They made me a rock fan and deserve so much more! Dreamcatcher FIGHTING !!
Dreamcatcher should be recognized as a group whose ALL MEMBERS HAVE A POWERFUL LEVEL OF VOCALS!!!! Look at our MAKNAE, she belted the final chorus together with the main vocalists! Look at how they sing, it is so powerful!!! Please, let this song be the one to skyrocket them for more recognition around the world, otherwise justice would not be served if this song didn't get enough recognition! I just watched the live version of JUSTICE, and I was shocked that the main dancer (SuA) handled the main vocalist (Siyeon's) high notes in the final chorus, and even their sub-vocalist (Handong) covered the first chorus by Siyeon!!!

They went from a terrible line distribution in the Nightmare Series to an average but could had been better line distribution in the Dystopia Series but with covid & Handong absence, it can slide. To Apocalypse they all got solos and now their line distribution is amazing. Everybody always shines.
I am not shocked that they could do that because of Gahyeon's parts in 'Break the Wall' and Handong sometimes having strong parts in Odd Eye and other songs.

I’m being forreal … someone explain to me why this group isn’t number 1? I started my K-pop journey recently and I started with le sserafim, aespa, G-Idle but when I started Dreamcatcher I was blown away. Everything is on point, choreography, music video concepts, their voices, Dami with the hard raps. Yoohyeon alone has a better voice than the other groups I mentioned and she is just one of the singers in Dreamcatcher. Their voices are powerful and the choreography his hard

I read a comment that Yoohyeon giving a helping hand to Handong at the end is a callback to when Handong helped Yoohyeon stand up when she pushed her in the OOTD mv. The studio cut has all but two members blasting the high note in the chorus; in the showcase, due to Siyeon's absense, HanDong and Sua pulled the excess weight. I don't think anyone understands how RARE it is for this many members within the same group to be able to pull this kind of vocal weight. Then again, this group was born during a time period where that was more common. As Kpop continues to become more and more visual based, with less emphasis on vocal stability during performances or just vocal ability in general, Dreamcatcher remains. This song is going to be absolute HELL to perform consistently, but if anyone can do it, it's them. I hope they are able to keep up with the strain and take the breaks needed to rest their voice during moments of peace that are so rare during promotions. This song has a truly epic chorus and the core sound is back to their roots, steeped in rock. If they were aiming for the whole 'good shall triumph over evil' theme I'd say they nailed it. Ya know, all I could think about is when they take their next Tour-in think it's in the US come November-is the audience and how they would vibe to this song. Likely singing the high not along WITH them.

The way this fandom has grown maturely is amazing. Seeing the comments on the possible loss, but being proud of ourselves instead of lashing out like the other is doing now. We had this kind of phase as well in the early years (not as bad as them though) but we now grew and wisen up. It's also awesome to see that after all these years we still have our fighting spirits. We're really in this Dreamcatcher thing for life.

And just like in life.. when you finally earn your spot in society through hard work, tears, sleepless nights.. some imature people will hate you for having succes while they do nothing about themselves to earn that succes too. Dreamcatcher and insomnia are a beautiful life story, with up and downs, starting from the bottom but with a supernatural fighting spirit. These 7 years and more and worthy to be remember forever.
Newer InSomnia here (and relatively new to kpop altogether), and something that I've been saying is that my impression of the group's attitude of gratitude for their little successes amidst their years of struggles is also somewhat reflected within the fandom. This is in contrast to fandoms of more recent groups that have been much more successful right out of the gate, so there inevitably becomes more of an air of entitlement to subsequent successes instead of gratitude while stuck playing the game of "my group is better than yours."

From what I’ve heard, using some videos from different channels is better than sticking to just one channel, but I don’t know if that’s true. I personally try to listen to some other groups or DC’s older songs from HappyFace channel just in case, aside from a few of DC’s recent songs.

Most of them are songs belonging to large entertainment companies.Whether the song is good or bad, we naturally only listen to songs that are in the top 100.Of course, you have to search for Dreamcatcher's songs to listen to them, and the number of plays for songs that are not exposed is bound to decrease. This has a huge impact on digital points. As a Korean, I am also most angry about this.

This song is epic. In everything - vocals, choreo, MV, visuals, style... You can listen to it on loop for hours without getting bored. And - Siyeon didn't even take part in the live performances (showcase etc.) published today for health reasons. Siyeon's part was taken over by Handong (subvocalist) and SuA (main dancer) - without any problems and in an incredible way. All 6 were outstanding. It's unbelievable - but after more than 100 of their own songs (10 mini albums and 2 albums) and various cover versions and solos, Dreamcatcher have created a heroic masterpiece that is second to none. I bow in awe and then try to sleep at some point.
Already past 4 million, now let’s try to hit 5 before the 24 hour mark! Great job streaming everyone. Let’s show Siyeon and the girls that we appreciate their hard work.

As a kpop fan since 2nd gen, I've had multiple unfortunate moments where groups I stan (Nine Muses, DIA) always failed to find their success, not quite like what Dreamcatcher have achieved. So to finally have my favorite group Dreamcatcher achieve a lot of things and successes now make me so happy and I just wish they'll continue to thrive for many more years to come!
We overcame the 7 year curse, and we keep seeing even better numbers with each new album, so I think we're sure to stay with the girls for a long time.
This one wasn't made to win award shows, it was made to show the rest of the industry the job of a singer is to do that. Sing their ass off.

I heard some of Dreamcatcher's music a few years ago and I've always liked Dami. But now that I'm an InSomnia, I see how diverse each members talent is. Siyeon...I can't tell you how special she is. She immediately stood out to me. I knew right there she was my bias, maybe my ult even as I aspire to sing just like her lol. And her stage presence is unmatchable. It's crazy because I usually bias rappers and dancers or foreigners naturally. But Dreamcatcher in all, dancing, vocals, are special. This is what I've been looking for, for years. Never thought I would be streaming rock or metal music until I dove deeper into Dreamcatcher. They are now my favorite K-pop group. No one is doing it like them. They made me a rock fan and deserve so much more! Dreamcatcher FIGHTING !!

I just watched the live version of JUSTICE, and I was shocked that the main dancer (SuA) handled the main vocalist (Siyeon's) high notes in the final chorus, and even their sub-vocalist (Handong) covered the first chorus by Siyeon!!!

They went from a terrible line distribution in the Nightmare Series to an average but could had been better line distribution in the Dystopia Series but with covid & Handong absence, it can slide. To Apocalypse they all got solos and now their line distribution is amazing. Everybody always shines.
I am not shocked that they could do that because of Gahyeon's parts in 'Break the Wall' and Handong sometimes having strong parts in Odd Eye and other songs.

I started my K-pop journey recently and I started with le sserafim, aespa, G-Idle but when I started Dreamcatcher I was blown away. The studio cut has all but two members blasting the high note in the chorus; in the showcase, due to Siyeon's absense, HanDong and Sua pulled the excess weight. I don't think anyone understands how RARE it is for this many members within the same group to be able to pull this kind of vocal weight. Then again, this group was born during a time period where that was more common. As Kpop continues to become more and more visual based, with less emphasis on vocal stability during performances or just vocal ability in general, Dreamcatcher remains. This song is going to be absolute HELL to perform consistently, but if anyone can do it, it's them. I hope they are able to keep up with the strain and take the breaks needed to rest their voice during moments of peace that are so rare during promotions. This song has a truly epic chorus and the core sound is back to their roots, steeped in rock. If they were aiming for the whole 'good shall triumph over evil' theme I'd say they nailed it. Ya know, all I could think about is when they take their next Tour-in think it's in the US come November-is the audience and how they would vibe to this song. Likely singing the high not along WITH them.

Newer InSomnia here (and relatively new to kpop altogether), and something that I've been saying is that my impression of the group's attitude of gratitude for their little successes amidst their years of struggles is also somewhat reflected within the fandom. This is in contrast to fandoms of more recent groups that have been much more successful right out of the gate, so there inevitably becomes more of an air of entitlement to subsequent successes instead of gratitude while stuck playing the game of "my group is better than yours."

This song is epic. In everything - vocals, choreo, MV, visuals, style... You can listen to it on loop for hours without getting bored. And - Siyeon didn't even take part in the live performances (showcase etc.) published today for health reasons. Siyeon's part was taken over by Handong (subvocalist) and SuA (main dancer) - without any problems and in an incredible way. All 6 were outstanding. It's unbelievable - but after more than 100 of their own songs (10 mini albums and 2 albums) and various cover versions and solos, Dreamcatcher have created a heroic masterpiece that is second to none. I bow in awe and then try to sleep at some point.

As a kpop fan since 2nd gen, I've had multiple unfortunate moments where groups I stan (Nine Muses, DIA) always failed to find their success, not quite like what Dreamcatcher have achieved. So to finally have my favorite group Dreamcatcher achieve a lot of things and successes now make me so happy and I just wish they'll continue to thrive for many more years to come!
