I always do a quick clean before i take my car for an oil change to avoid exactly that (although they clean the car as well). But the state of the cabin air filter suggests it's just neglect. Engine probably looks the same inside.

The last sentence or two of this video speaks volumes about you Larry. At no point are you boasting or saying "look at me, look how good I am." You're incredibly humble and gracious.
What makes me sad is that Larry spends days cleaning cars like this, and the owner will likely destroy it again in no time at all...amazing transformation though. Can't wait to see him do it again in another few years!

@Audios2010 just got some new HRE's for it for the spring. It's actually pretty reliable overall, did some preventative maintenance and put an intercooler and stage 1 tune as well
@@Zondu if you are mechanical inclined, get familiar with the maintenance not just engine components wise but electrical and working your way around the interior. Unfortunately US doesn't have as strong manufacturing standards compared to our brothers over seas. Especially the ones out from Mexico 😬

David replaced the windshield just a few weeks ago on my 2005 Honda CR-V the same red one that I drove by your shop with to say hello a week or so ago. It was nice meeting you Larry! I hope that perhaps my car, too, will make it into your shop someday! I think you'll be impressed by this one. This 2005 Honda CR-V is a 1 owner car, clean title with no prior accidents and it's also equipped with 4wd and a 5 speed manual transmission, and best of all no rust! Something that is extremely rare to find in a car of this age that has spent it's entire lifetime up here in the northeast! I bought this car in Mt. Kisco back in July.
I’ve seen a few typical family Audi owners but this goes beyond them all lol, I polished an s5 the other day, the paint was very awkward so it’s nice to see how you got it looking mint

I have a question..I hit a deer a few weeks ago and there is some residue that left some white patches on the cars paint. Would it definitely to be buffed out..its right on the top layer of the paint, and it cannot come out. I tried washing it cleaners..you name it. Hope someone can help.

I must say that you are doing a very nice work. A tip I will give you, I drove tourists bus all over Europe for 22 years and you can guess that I removed cewing gum a lot. Instead of heat, freeze them real good and the gum will be brittle and easy to remove. Next step remove the stain as usual.

My friend, a tip for you. (In case you don't know this) A tuba brush is like a pipe cleaner on steroids. I have a new to me Miata ND2 and they sell this contraption on the Moss Miata web site to help clear the rear roof drains. Depending upon diameter, it could have really helped in the situation of your fuel door drain.. good luck and keep up the good work! I hope your friend is a good person, because the way he treats his car should have criminal repercussions..
As an Audi Technician I can definitely say that clogged drains can become a VERY big issue. Many people would also be surprised how important it is to keep clean the center dash controls as well. SO MANY people drop coffee/drinks on the them and they essentially become almost useless and the whole assembly has to be replaced.
Although it's cool to see those 1 off unique cars on the channel, sometimes it's nice to see a regular car transformation too. The level of care you show for any ride is absolutely amazing!

As an Audi Technician I can definitely say that clogged drains can become a VERY big issue.
Many people would also be surprised how important it is to keep clean the center dash controls as well. SO MANY people drop coffee/drinks on the them and they essentially become almost useless and the whole assembly has to be replaced.
