Watched the Bentley video last night with my son, who's in third-grade. This morning he wanted to surprise me by detailing my BMW - with a mop! It's the thought that counts.
I used to own a GTC for 12 years and 860.000km. Yes, you read that right. It did not look anywhere near as bad as this from the vid. I cannot believe how people mistreat their cars.
@@RetroMotiveAdventures it even didn`t feel worn at the end. Only required regular service. Just a brilliant luxury daily driver with all the pros you get from VW AG and in my case no negative issues.

@@Greg-kp5gd it was an 06 as well. One of the first off the line. I flipped my GT for it. In 07 I added a Flying Spur as family daily, since the second kid was just due. the most satisfying part of polishing a car in my opinion is the mirrors.. a part people usually skip over but it makes such a BIG difference from beginning to end
Thank you so much for opening in Australia, I've been on the fence about trying your products for a long time with the prohibitive shipping costs of getting things internationally, now it's no problem and I will be trying your stuff. Great video too!
Larry I have watched almost all your videos, Im not a detailer but its therapeutic, please do more charity details.....also I find the fact you know when to make something perfect and not. Huge fan
what a coincidence I had the exact same car yesterday but in gray in my shop for a complete paint correction and a glass coating. I love your videos man!
man the attention to the little things is always top notch! the paint was really bad (as well as the interiors), and you make it shine again. ps. i spy a mini on the back, will you show the detail on that too? i kinda love the cooper and coutryman
I also have a Bentley Flying Spur, but compensate by owing a 2019 Mini Cooper S JCW. Also talked my older sister and her husband into a 2019 'regular' Mini. Mini's are gaining a rep for reliability. Got the '19 because it didn't have the computer sceer speedo cluster. Regular analog. Nor the annoying nanny warnings while driving. Lane assist, speed warning, etc.
Another great video, Larry. I love the fact that you do such a variety and you have such an arsenal of knowledge and technique with each car you do. For someone of your talent and expertise you seem anything but pretentious. Thank you for the dialogue and the instruction and thank you for the tips and tricks that we can take away from each video. I've stepped up my game quite a bit since I started watching. You're the best, man.
Is there anything more satsfying than seeing 1. Swirls go away after buffing out the polish, 2. Blasting off snow foam, 3. Watching water beeding on ceramic coats?
Continental's are awesome cars and that W12 is such a wonderful engine, the only MASSIVE downside of owning one is that basically every engine related fix is an engine out job and that gets VERY expensive REALLY fast.
Yep...there's nothing "cheap" about fixing a Bentley in any guise. That's why I'm not entirely sure I think it's a good "raffle" car. There used to be an old adage in the car community "You might be able to buy a Ferrari, but can you afford to drive a Ferrari?" - this was in reference to people buying old cheap Ferraris for $15-30K...but then realize that working on them was going double or triple the money they spent buying them.
Oh yay your products are coming here to Australia woohoo! As you know we love our cars here. Oh you will sell a lot here. Well done indeed! I'm always looking at ways to get it here.
Is there a rule of thumb when powerwashing enginebays? Due to all the connectors, battery and wires in there. Are they capable of handeling water or do I need to avoid or prep stuff?
I have used shoe polish to fix steering wheels where they are faded. The one that has a sponge on the end with liquid dye. Then cover it with leather clear sealer. It works great on common colors.
At 12:08-12:30 there were scratches in the paint, then they're gone! I have scratches just like that! What did you use to get rid of the scratches? I have used Maguire's wax and it brought the depth of the paint out. But I still have the scratches. I want to know more.
Everyone’s looking at the Bentley and I paused to look at the Mini Cooper back there 😍 I ask that you show us a Mini being washed some time in the near future 😂
As always, really impressed by the results you get. You have a lot of technics, it’s so much educational ! Listening to the part were you told that we can clay the windshield to make it really clean. Do you ? And if yes, how do you wash wipers? Thanks a lot 😊
I did a 2008 Flying Spur and idk if it was just the one I had but man the paint was so soft that I did my 2 step with Black Hdo pad and 3D 520 and then Red wax pad with water. It was the piano black. Most mentally straining paint I had ever done.
I have been watching you since you started your youtube videos I had my own detail shop in the mid 80s in danvers ma i ask my suppler one day about doing a video on how to properly wash a car and wax he said no body will watch it ,at that time they was no youtube and cable tv was new i was a head my time i still do my car and my wifes i am 78 yeas old now and i still love detail hope to meet you some day
Hey Larry, two questions. Do you use tape to mask off rub trip from polish residue? And I notice you put the “Mud” dressing on after you lower the car of the lift. I thought I would be easier while it’s still in the air, any reason for that? Not prying, just trying to understand some of your methods. Hope you answer, thanks.
Any reason why you rectify the paintwork first Larry, then scrub the interior? I'm curious. I always scrub and shampoo the interiors first, before moving outside. great video as usual.

Congratulations Larry in Opening AMMO AU! I would like to know what can animal residue..My Wife hit a deer and there is a white residue on her Paint. Is that something that needs to be buffed out..i was thinking Ammo Plum. Or would that damage the paint? Hope you can help?
Larry, something that has always bothered me about using soap and brushes on the interior - the steering wheel, HVAC controls, center consoles... doesn't that water and soap make its way into the seems and behind the buttons and just build up a nasty residue of old soap? Wouldn't that become an issue after some time?
Could you apply a similar product to what you apply to black exterior plastics to the steering wheel? Bring back the black, albeit temporarily. Im guessing though the texture or film could create a lack of grip on the steering wheel.
When these first came out, Volkswagen was selling their Phaeton - a four door luxury sedan built on the same chassis (same factory, etc.). Basically a budget Bentley.
