Those lapping machine setups are really expensive for what they are which is a real shame.

Without the right tools and tech know-how, it would have been nearly impossible; without your craftsmanship and artistic skill all the tools in the world would have been useless. The technical difficulties of the restoration really help to understand why an Omega watch and specially the Speedsmaster is worth what it's worth. That said, if it had been my father's watch I would have cleaned it a bit, maybe replaced the bracelet which is always the weakest spot, and left it as it was.

@@Vintwatches I'm currently on the hunt for a vintage Rolex 5513 1962 - 1963 pointed crown guard and the amount of frankin Vietnam case built watches are shocking. It's a mine field with vintage Rolex to avoid being screwed as the $500 Vietnam cases are scary close and I have some background in authenticating them. Deceivers take this case and combine it with a 1520 movement out of a Air King 5500 and then bake the fake dial in an oven to faux age it. The scary thing is they go for around 10k so the potential to get screwed is high with vintage. I had one seller today who was hones about it and still wanted $6k saying even with parts it's still less expensive than an original. I think I'm just about ready to give up on owning a pointed crown guard sub or settle on the possibility of likely getting screwed.

One of the nicest restorations I’ve seen. Job well done. Very nice watch. Looks like it truly took a lot of work and dedication but it all paid off in the end. Hope the owner take pride in wearing it enjoying it just as much as his father did.

First of all, congratulations to you. I have loved watches since I was a kid and have been collecting many different brands of men's and women's watches for about 55 years. I also love watching repair videos. So I was following a few different watch repair video makers but after watching your video by chance I was amazed by your tools that I have never seen in any other watch repair shop and I really liked what you do. I subscribed to your channel immediately and will only follow your videos from now on. I wish you success. Greetings from Istanbul to you and all your followers. I also wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

There are very few people that have precision motoric control in there hands and a eye that observes details to perfection and can do this kind of work. I have also these skills but not doing watches. Keep it up 👍 😊
