Your hair is so cute! by the way, I took a diabetic education class last year. The group got into this whole argument about whether we should eat bananas, and if we did, should they be green or brown or yellow, and then should we eat pineapple, and this went on for a few minutes. Finally, the diabetic education nurse just yelled, "Whoa! None of you are here because you ate too much fruit. Eat some fruit, period!" :D

I apologize for the delay on this video- I think we spent the longest we’ve EVER spent on a video- over 75 HOURS! If you learned something, please give this video a THUMBS UP, and remember- share your own experiences below but please #bekind. Everyone is different and that’s a beautiful thing. I love you and I hope you enjoy/learn!
It just shows how much you care and how important it is to you to get the information out there in a way that you are happy with. You can tell that you put a lot of effort into this video. Thank you so much!
Thank you for the info, I love your "educate, not attack" approach, I wish more people would do the research before opening their.... well, you know! :-) Well my thought is this; should there really be a "recommended" amount, wouldn't that depend on your activity level?
I have just discovered your channel and have been binge-watching your videos for about 2hours now and I have 1 thing to say: THANK YOU! A thousand times thank you! I am at least 25kg over my "healthy BMI" and have been trying for 3 years to lose weight by adopting a healthy lifestyle but I failed continuously because I was confused by all the different and contradicting advice I found. I got so lost and food gave me even more anxiety than before. Your videos respect different lifestyle, focus on facts and balance... They are perfect! Thank you so much! I realize you probably won't see this comment as this video is a few months old and you have many viewers commenting, but just in case, I wanted you to know how helpful and wonderful you are! In terms of sugar-intake, your videos taught me knew things and here is what I've decided to do: 1) monitor my added sugar intake, 2) try to keep it in check by using a mix of coconut sugar and stevia I have bought recently (it's a 50-50 mix) and reducing (trying to eliminate gradually) processed foods that are high in sugar (starting with my morning granola wich contains 9g of sugar per serving which is too high according to your cereal video). Again: thank you! You have a new loyal viewer all the way from Belgium! :)
that is amazing, thank you! I am so glad you are enjoying the channel :) I know sometimes we can get lost in that food anxiety but it is possible to come out of it, and I think the way is by learning about food and nutrition! We don't need to tell ourselves no, we just need to learn HOW to incorporate those "scary" foods appropriately. So happy to have you in this community, welcome to the channel!
I agree with you. Sugar is not evil, it's just another carbohydrate. It's all about balance. Anything in excess will kill you! Artificial sweeteners and natural sugars are perfectly safe if consumed in moderate amounts.
I think deciding foods are "good" and "bad" can become dangerous for a lot of people's relationships with food. Learning HOW to incorporate them is key! :) Thank you!
!THANK YOU! For that last comment on personal choices and not belittling people for them. I've seen so many people get put down rather than actually be helped and informed that there are other options that might suit them better and let them be in control of their own body.
This video rocks. I especially loved the explanation of fructose vs glucose, and seeing the percentage of each in different sweeteners. This is something I'm definitely interested in researching.
Alyssia you are such a gift to RUclips. I have been following you for a while and I love your passion for educating the masses on nutrition. I especially admire how you lay out all the options people have and compare them in simple terms. You're so helpful and fun to watch. Thank you so much for doing what you do!!!
totally agree with the "rant" at the end. as a diabetic, I'm exhausted to have people criticising every kind of carb I eat. I appreciate the information in this video, too. really well done!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it- people need to recognize that everyone is dealing with their own situations and shouldn't have to defend their personal choices. I appreciate your feedback!
Can you do a video on the health benefits and pro's and con's of tea (like oolong, green, black, white etc) and coffee? I really would love you take on that topic
Let me just say that I have been following you for over two years now, and I just appreciate your dedication so much! I have learned an incredible amount from you (whether it is your bread video, meal preps, or videos about processed snacks), and I wanted to let you know that your effort and time surrounding these videos does not go unnoticed. My mom is borderline diabetic, and she has been searching for a breakdown of sugars and sweeteners. I passed this video along to her as soon as I saw it uploaded because you are truly the only RUclipsr I trust to break it down to her, haha ;) Just remember that we see you, and we appreciate you!
Thank you so very much, your feedback is so motivating and encouraging, I really appreciate it :) I am glad you are learning and enjoying the channel, it makes it all worth it! Much love
I really hope the word gets out about high fructose corn syrup. A recent study also showed that it causes heart disease. When I stopped eating it, my cholesterol and triglycerides went down significantly.
I've never commented on anything before, but I really felt a need to with this video. You clearly put the time in to create a well-researched and incredibly informative overview of the whole sugar deal. You're awesome!
What I love most about your channel is that you put emphasis on making your own decision. So many of the other food/nutrition channels I want attack certain foods or sweeteners and it is so refreshing to hear someone who can give the facts and still respect other people choices! Thank you so much for your videos!
thank you so much :) I really want people to feel strong and educated enough to make their own decisions, rather than feel like someone else should decide for them!
This is probably the best youtube video about sugar and artificial sweeteners. The word thank you is NOT enough to describe my appreciation! Really amazing job and it's obvious that you put a lot of work into this video! Well done and i subscribed already ^_^
This was such a well done video! I can tell Alyssia worked really hard on it. There is so much in this video that so many people don't know and I love to see all of the information in one place!
Alyssia, you are so incredibly informative and educational. Please never ever stop sharing your wealth and knowledge! I appreciate these types of videos so much! You deliver information without judgment and bashing. So rare in the realm of health and nutrition. Thank you for another video that will help me to live a healthier lifestyle!!!!
seriously, this is what I have been looking for. someone who is non judgmental and breaks it down in enough detail that I understand, but not so much that I get confused. I can't wait to watch more videos :)
I cannot tell you how much I admire your work; your videos and the information you give through them is seriously super valuable. I have a deep interest in nutrition and I'm planning on making it my second major but I've always had a 'higher' knowledge in this field just because it entertains me, nutrition is almost a hobby for me. I have to say I've learned a ton by watching your videos, and whoever person watches them can tell the insane amount of effort you put into each one of them. Keep them coming, thank you for everything! You're a role model, xx
That and the flours and milk too. I feel so confused at trying to get more healthy! And I appreciated you explaining so simply about sugars. It all comes down to everything in moderation, like you said. Thank you!
I know this video is old but I just found your channel and I just wanted to thank you. I just went through a verbal attack by a family member and you're right. It did the opposite as intended. I felt discouraged and misunderstood. I was looking for a straightforward, not a water-down version of the truth but wasn't harsh, sarcastic or judgemental. I have a lot of health problem including an unholy amount of allergies and I've been so overwhelmed with all the health blogs and RUclips food channels that all said different things. Then I found you. I feel inspired and like I can make a more informed decision now that I have the tools. Thank you. You have no idea how much I needed this.
Great overview! I really appreciate the effort you put into this and it went by really fast despite being longer than usual :) I will definitely point people to this when they argue that coconut sugar or honey "don't count" because they're natural sweeteners ;P. One thing I'd like to add: the sugar to fat conversion does happen, however if you are in a caloric balance (or even deficit), all of it is going to be burned again for energy. So as long as you stay within your caloric limit, you can't gain fat, even if you are over the RDA for sugar. Of course, a high-sugar diet makes it much easier to reach a caloric surplus, which will lead to weight gain.
thank you :) Yes- this is a great point- I think a big problem though is that people don't realize that these sweeteners do count which adds calories and often puts people over their maintenance number. A lot of people don't want to acknowledge that this number of calories is real/exists- they want to think that if it's "clean" sources then we can eat anything, which just isn't the case. Macros still matter even if we don't track them.
I just started watching your channel a few days ago and I am honestly so grateful for your videos! I love that you don't use scare tactics to try to sway viewers to any one ingredient, and how you use facts and research to justify your choices or recommendations! It's so hard to find reliable information without getting lost in a bunch of jargon (and I'm in nursing school so if I find it confusing I can't imagine how difficult it would be without any background knowledge of the human body). I'm working on creating a healthier, cleaner, but not totally restrictive diet for myself and my fiancé and your channel has by far been the most helpful. Thank you so much and keep up the great work!
:) Thank you so much, I really appreciate your comment and feedback! Your observations are the exact reason I started this channel- I couldn't find a place that I felt accepted without taking on some sort of restrictive tendencies with food. I wanted to create a place of objective information, and acceptance of everyone's choices! I appreciate you being here and being a part of it. Welcome to the channel!
This was an amazing video! Great job Alyssia! I personally just use table sugar, maple syrup, and brown sugar because it's what the majority of people use when I'm developing recipes, but I've seen lots of big bloggers like Chocolate Covered Katie who use erythritol all the time. But you're totally right, sugar is sugar. Eating fruit in excess is still an extra amount of sugar! Wonderful job to you and your team on this giant video =)
Thank you!! Your choices are awesome, if you've never tried erythritol I suggest trying it out, it's my favorite for baking! I appreciate your feedback!
Wow, what a massive undertaking this video must have been! There was a tonne of information here, but all delivered in the classic Mind Over Munch fashion: informative, entertaining, intelligent, neutral and enlightened. I really appreciate all the effort that you put into this channel, and I look forward to all of your videos. Thanks, Alyssia!!
Could you please do educational videos on: types of fat, like transfer vs saturated, how much you should eat, healthy vs unhealthy, etc ! I've always been interested in these things! also i love your videos. They've inspired me to try to take a nutrition class in college! thank you so much for these!
That's a great suggestion, thank you! :) So happy to hear you're finding some inspiration in these videos and learning about nutrition! You might like this video: ruclips.net/video/7HXkkanqPKA/видео.html As well as my educational playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLt2c0hX1aB8qU_CVwuipR5R5ezRVk9EwF
Great video! Very comprehensive and fair. Personally, the only sweetener I use is unsweetened applesauce (made from apples, water, and vitamin C.) Watch for the applesauces that say "No sugar added." The ingredients will show that they use "fruit concentrates." Oh yes, I do eat raisins mixed with my oatmeal, so you could say that it is kind of a sweetener. My taste buds have evolved so they are too sweet to eat by themselves. I do eat a lot of fruit that is not dried.
Great non bias video! No click bate, no running long for air time, no bs. Exactly the video i was looking for to educate myself on the different types of sugar. Thank you!
Super informative video, I really appreciate all the research and effort you put into it! : ) I personally find all the types of sugars to be really confusing, so this video was super helpful!
Thank you for having such a common sense approach to things!! When people who don't know how to read studies start screeching about things killing you, it makes me cringe - the amounts used in studies are almost always so much higher than what an average person would ever consume. Too much of anything - even necessary stuff like water, salt, vitamins - will hurt or even kill you! I was a biology major in college and I am so glad I have the skill to read a scientific paper - it's something I wish was required in schools, especially with the constant influx of news stories about studies that come to incorrect conclusions and lead to misinformation of the public. I digress though... Thank you for an awesome video!
Thank you :) I agree. lot of people really think their way is "right" for everyone, and will skew information to point to their preference. It's so important to do your own research and reading so you really know what's going on! :) Great point!
Just watched this video again after almost two and a half years. Still relevant, still a great source of neutral information. You make it easier to understand some of the things that are hard to put in words because it’s not a right/wrong, or if you will, black/white kind of topic. Being a nutrition student the most common questions I get is whether something is right or wrong, what’s best etc. Gah, I wish it was that easy! I’ve watched your channel for years, and to this day it’s one of my favorites! Please keep doing what you do, I for one love it!
thank you! I think you did an awesome job promoting all the info that's out there. I am a culinary student and a certified culinary nutritionist and had to learn a lot of this in school. it's nice to see someone break it down so easily for everyone.
Alyssia, you would make a fantastic public speaker. I would have loved to have someone like you as a keynote speaker when I was in college or even now in just a community health education thingy. I always try to share your videos with my loved ones because you make it so simple and interesting to learn about nutrition, that's no easy feat. You're an excellent role model to the public, for real, thanks!
Thank you! That is such a compliment, I really appreciate it :) I'm so glad you enjoy the videos and that you find them useful!! That makes it all worth it :) Much love!
Wow! Thank you so much for taking the time and extra work for a video like this. Helped a lot in knowing what sweetner/sugar is best for me!! I'm going to be sharing this video with friends and family👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
I actually know someone who had a seizure because she was drinking too many fluids and it flushed all the sodium out of her system. So yes it is important to have sodium in your diet, but consuming in excess is bad. Sadly I do not know what the daily recommended amount is.
Alyssia!! Thank you soooo much for making this video. I appreciated on the time you spent on this video! It's very helpful to me (cause i don't have to look up those info. by myself >
As always such a great job with giving a great amount of information so that we can make an informed decision on our own. Also, you could make a 3hr video and I'd still watch the whole thing. 😃
I love your videos and recipes.I recently broke my shoulder and have been watching your upbeat videos. They are helping me maintain my goal of eating healthy and not gaining weight while out on medical leave.Your recipes are easy ,delicious and budget friendly.
That's so wonderful to hear, wow! I'm glad this channel is giving you some healthy inspiration and creativity :) very glad to have you here in this community! I wish you a speedy recovery!
I knew the day I gave up processed foods that I was on my way to a healthier lifestyle. As far as sweeteners go I use honey and sometimes maple syrup. I'm well within that 5-6 tsp limit per day:) Thank you for all that you do. I can really appreciate how much time & effort went into making this video. We're all getting a good education:))
The information you put out is always useful and clears up questions that most of the time we haven't even thought about until you bring them up. Please keep doing these videos! you are a star xx
Thank you very much for taking the time to make this video. I have done a lot of research on sweeteners and your video is the most comprehensive and unbiased 😊
I look forward to every single one of your videos!! I love how informative your discussions are for each topic. You don't pressure anyone to do things and make choices based on how you do things, instead you give us the facts and of course we decide what's best for ourselves. I am learning so much from your channel and thank you so much for your efforts in creating these awesome videos and most importantly taking the time to HELP others. You're amazing Alyssia!! ❤️ -Amani
I use honey and brown sugar. I sometimes use coconut sugar and white sugar. I bake these muffins that my daughter and I eat for breakfast that contain half a cup of honey in the recipe. We literally eat them every morning. Is that ok?
Based on what Alyssia shared in this video, I would say it's your call on what's "okay" for you. :) Also reducing sugar is pretty much always a good thing, so maybe explore alternatives if you feel up for it. I recently made these muffins & all their sugar comes from bananas and berries. They taste great! allrecipes.com/recipe/160124/no-sugar-added-blueberry-and-banana-wheat-muffins/
Alyssia! I really appreciate the effort you put into making a concise, comprehensive presentation on sweeteners. One of my favorite black bean brownie recipes calls for half a cup of low or no calorie sweetener (I usually use Truvia). It's helpful to know how all these products can affect our bodies. Thanks for keeping us informed, keep it up!
Just found this channel and I am loving it! You're personality if very much like mine, so I can relate. I like your "this is my opinion, it doesn't have to be yours" way of presenting. I am learning a lot. This is my new binge channel. I am 58 years old and for the last year have been on a quest to adopt a more whole, plant-based eating lifestyle, with a kinder approach to the environment. I find this info incredibly helpful, so thanks and you do you!
I enjoyed this video!! I am a former science teacher and you impressed me with your easy to understand explanations and graphics!! You definitely left me with plenty take-home images and messages! THANKS YOU!
We have had enough time to know maple syrup and honey is perfect in moderation so I'll stick to that. (Maple syrup is way too sweet to eat in 1/4 cup anyway). Stevia tastes gross to me and also do all artificial sweeteners so I'll let my taste be the guide to what are meant to go in my body.
Honestly, I think this is the best video I've ever watched on RUclips. I really appreciate how much time you spent on this. It was so thorough and easy to understand. Thank you so much for all the info! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I like plain ol' stevia... I have recently been diagnosed with diabetes... Dun.. Dun ... DUN!!! I'm over being depressed about it and am now taking charge of my diet. And have come to the conclusion that stevia works best for me. I also like the liquid form. One thing that Is my guilty pleasure is toast with a little honey and some sort of nut butter... Omg! Yum!!
There are substitutes for everything you love as a meat eater! I used to say the same thing and I feel so amazing being vegan now! Watch Forks Over Knives, it has a lot of great information about the health aspect of it!
It is hard, and the truth is they aren't "good" or "bad," they are just different! The best thing we can do is educate ourselves so we understand them as best we can :) Cheers
+Mind Over Munch I actually love that, it makes me pay more attention because it feels like I need to take the information in fast. Plus it separates the pure facts from the recap and explanation :)
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE BREAKDOWN ON SUGARS! I really appreciate all the hard work you & Christian put into this, and all your videos! Have a great week!
This kind of your video is my favourite ! I know that it takes a lot of times and research to do this kind of video, but can you please do more of these ? You are the most neutral youtuber I have ever seen regarding food and nutrition and I love it 😍. Not like those people driven by one point of view, you are open and let your viewers to think and decide. Not just simply put a single statement of "truth" to the viewers mind. Hat's off for you and keep the good job ! Love you !
I appreciate your presentation here. I like that you present the science and the studies, along with the questions. I like that you do not use terms that are the latest hype. What I know from my 46 years of sugar substitute use is that before they switched off of the sweetener used in soda in the 70's, possibly cyclamates, my mom and I would get swollen ankles, after the switch neither of us did again. I have drank 2 - 5 sodas a day for the last 46 years, much being aspartame, and personally have no problem with it. When agave became popular I put that in some things for awhile in which I gained 10 pounds mostly in abdominals area. After I stopped it I manage to loose that. Your video showing the higher load for that made a lot of sense
Well done! :) I have to say, as a Natural Health Practitioner who works with an MD helping to educate patients- you did an excellent job! :) I also agree Everyone needs to make their own decision- and it's not for any of us to make that judgement of what is right for anyone else! As always educate yourself! Thanks again!
Thank you so much :) I did a lot of research and really made an effort to be objective because I want people to WANT to educate themselves :) Thanks for being here!
You are awesome and I am so glad you made and shared this video! I think most of us would really like to be better informed, but there is so much to sift through when it comes to opinions of what is "good" or "bad" and it becomes overwhelming. Your approach was great and very informative!
I totally agree! Through this channel, if there's anything I can tell from this amazing community it's that people WANT to be better, and want to know better, but they just don't know where to start or how to filter the information their bombarded with (most of which is very subjective). I really want this to be a place people can find objective information to encourage themselves to make the right choice for them!
I love this video. I didn’t realize how much sugar I was eating and when I did I cut back on it dramatically. Got headaches and mood swings, amongst other horrible side effects. It sounds silly but I was very ashamed of being “addicted” to sugar. Thank you for not making me feel stupid about trying to find a sweet alternative. I appreciate that more than you can imagine. 💜
You are totally not stupid-I was also addicted to sugar, as well as artificial crap! I had headaches all the time, too! We are deceived by marketers all the time. It isn't our fault, but it's our responsibility to learn the truth, so props to you!!
Can you do a video like this on oil? Which oils are "better" for you, and which ones should be avoided altogether? Love your channel! Thanks!
thank you for the suggestion!
I was about to suggest the same thing! :) Maybe also include when to use which oil or alternatives for cooking with oil and butter. I love these videos, they are so informative! Thank you so much for making them!
I have a video on what oils are good and ones you should avoid ruclips.net/video/xDbUrPUFX_Y/видео.html
No oil is good. Use salt free veggie stock, works very well.
WOW! You talked about sugar for 20 minutes and made it interesting and easy to understand. THANK YOU.
:) That is awesome, so glad you liked it! Thanks!
Irene Rojas Ikr! I found myself finishing her sentences at some points. 😂 That's when you know you're learning.

I use organic coconut sugar because it is lower on the glycemic index and is around 70% sucrose and very low in fructose and I really like the taste!
I LOVE coconut sugar!!
Stephanie Bogart it’s not low in fructose. It’s 80% sucrose which means half of it (40%) is fructose
@@MsIGetLotOfThat You do realize that 80% +40% = 120%
@@radostin04wastaken what? Why are you adding those percentages?

I really hope the word gets out about high fructose corn syrup. A recent study also showed that it causes heart disease. When I stopped eating it, my cholesterol and triglycerides went down significantly.
that is so interesting! Thank you for sharing!
I like using Honey and stevia
awesome choices!
I've never commented on anything before, but I really felt a need to with this video. You clearly put the time in to create a well-researched and incredibly informative overview of the whole sugar deal. You're awesome!
thank you so much! I really appreciate your comment :)
So super helpful, I loved every minute!
thank you very much!
II really appreciate that, thank you so much and I'm so glad you enjoyed! Welcome to the channel!
This was such a well done video! I can tell Alyssia worked really hard on it. There is so much in this video that so many people don't know and I love to see all of the information in one place!
I am so glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!!
This is such a great informational video! So thorough, THANK YOU!
SO glad you found it useful, thanks!
Alyssia, you are so incredibly informative and educational. Please never ever stop sharing your wealth and knowledge! I appreciate these types of videos so much! You deliver information without judgment and bashing. So rare in the realm of health and nutrition. Thank you for another video that will help me to live a healthier lifestyle!!!!
great info on sweeteners & sugar...could you do a video about how the "low fat" craze began and how most low fat foods have sugar added?
thanks for the suggestion :)
seriously, this is what I have been looking for. someone who is non judgmental and breaks it down in enough detail that I understand, but not so much that I get confused.
I can't wait to watch more videos :)
That's so awesome to hear, thank you!! So glad this video was useful for you :) happy to have you in this community!
I've been waiting for this one!! Thanks for taking time to make this vid - all 75 hours of it!
thank you so so much!
:) Thank you so so much! I really appreciate your feedback and am glad you learn from and enjoy the channel! Thank you for being a part of it!
Great video!!! I will also be happy if you make a video about all the type of oils specially olive oil and cocunut oil because Im so confused lol
thanks for the suggestion, great idea! :)
That and the flours and milk too. I feel so confused at trying to get more healthy! And I appreciated you explaining so simply about sugars. It all comes down to everything in moderation, like you said. Thank you!
As a new nurse I can tell you that you are doing a GREAT service to the world by conveying this information. Thank you.
That's such a wonderful compliment, thank you so much!! Very happy to have you in this community :)
Killer job keeping this fact based! Thank you for such a clear description so I can make the best choice for my family. Subbed!
Thank you! I'm so glad you found it useful :) Happy to have you here, welcome to the channel!
Thank you. You have no idea how much I needed this.
thank you so much! :) I appreciate it. Welcome to the channel!!
She's absolutely right. It's not just about the calories and macros. It's all about balance.
thank you :)
I appreciate your feedback!
stevia is a really good natural sweetener
yeah!
It took years to get my stepdad off of splenda and into stevia
Wow, what a massive undertaking this video must have been! There was a tonne of information here, but all delivered in the classic Mind Over Munch fashion: informative, entertaining, intelligent, neutral and enlightened. I really appreciate all the effort that you put into this channel, and I look forward to all of your videos. Thanks, Alyssia!!
Thank you so much!! I appreciate you!!
You might like this video:

Great video! Very comprehensive and fair. Personally, the only sweetener I use is unsweetened applesauce (made from apples, water, and vitamin C.) Watch for the applesauces that say "No sugar added." The ingredients will show that they use "fruit concentrates." Oh yes, I do eat raisins mixed with my oatmeal, so you could say that it is kind of a sweetener. My taste buds have evolved so they are too sweet to eat by themselves. I do eat a lot of fruit that is not dried.
Always love your videos! Informative, fun, fresh and educational! Love it! Thanks for all your hard work
of course, thank you so much!
Great non bias video! No click bate, no running long for air time, no bs. Exactly the video i was looking for to educate myself on the different types of sugar. Thank you!
thank you very much! I appreciate it!
Super informative video, I really appreciate all the research and effort you put into it! : ) I personally find all the types of sugars to be really confusing, so this video was super helpful!
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you found it useful!!
You are EASILY my favorite health/nutrition RUclipsr!
That's so amazing, thank you!! I'm honored!! :) :) :)
Please keep doing what you do, I for one love it!
thank you so much :) I appreciate you! More fun stuff coming!
I LOVE your educational videos!!!
thank you!!!
thank you! I think you did an awesome job promoting all the info that's out there. I am a culinary student and a certified culinary nutritionist and had to learn a lot of this in school. it's nice to see someone break it down so easily for everyone.
I'm so glad you found it useful, thank you!
I do like the long videos!!!! Thank you for making this!
thank you!!
I love how positive & informative your videos are, Thank You!!!
Can you do a video about salt too? :D
thanks for the suggestion :)
Yes! I would love this. What is the difference between pink, black, sea salt, table salt, etc.
Not necessarily about that, but about sodium, it is bad it is good, how much is ok, what amount is considered too much etc.
I actually know someone who had a seizure because she was drinking too many fluids and it flushed all the sodium out of her system. So yes it is important to have sodium in your diet, but consuming in excess is bad. Sadly I do not know what the daily recommended amount is.
Yaaaaaas!!!! Long videos, they are my favourite!!
This really shoes how much work and dedication you put in youtube, you are amazing!!
thank you :) So glad you enjoyed!
Alyssia!! Thank you soooo much for making this video. I appreciated on the time you spent on this video! It's very helpful to me (cause i don't have to look up those info. by myself >
This video is just what I was waiting for! Very informative, thank you so much for taking the time to film it
my pleasure, thank you very much!!
As always such a great job with giving a great amount of information so that we can make an informed decision on our own. Also, you could make a 3hr video and I'd still watch the whole thing. 😃
that is so amazing, thank you so much for your amazing support! :)
Thank you Cheryl! I always appreciate your comments!!
The information you put out is always useful and clears up questions that most of the time we haven't even thought about until you bring them up. Please keep doing these videos! you are a star xx
thank you so much!! More to come :)
You are awesome!! Don't worry it didn't feel like a long video!
that is a relief! Thank you :)
Thank you very much for taking the time to make this video. I have done a lot of research on sweeteners and your video is the most comprehensive and unbiased 😊
thank you so much. I appreciate you!
Fucking love this chick. RUclips needs more people like this
😘 love you
I look forward to every single one of your videos!! ❤️ -Amani
thank you so much, I am glad you are learning! That makes it all worth it :)
Very informative. I'd love to hear about all the different fats too. It's interesting how the pendulum has swung from low fat to high fat.
This is interesting! Thanks for the suggestion :)
Your videos are sooo high quality! Your hard work really shows. Love your passion.
totally agree!
thank you so much!! That is so motivating to hear :)
I agree with Casey. Plus, half a cup of honey divided into 12 muffins comes to something like 2 teaspoons of sugar per muffin. Again, it's up to you
+Khanya Mills thank you!
+Casey Moore thank you!
Thank you! I am so glad you enjoyed the video :)
Very interesting!
thanks!
I find this info incredibly helpful, so thanks and you do you!
thank you sooo much! I appreciate you! welcome to the channel!
I love stevia and pure maple syrup!! So good! Love it in my oatmeal :)
For some reason I read your comment as "purple maple syrup". I was like what is that? Is that new? Lmao
Great choices!
Wow, you are seriously my favorite youtuber! Your videos are amazing and are teaching me many new things.
Thank you so much!!
That last part is why I love your channel. Keep it positive!
Thank you so much!
I enjoyed this video!! I am a former science teacher and you impressed me with your easy to understand explanations and graphics!! You definitely left me with plenty take-home images and messages! THANKS YOU!
Thank you! I am so glad you found it helpful, I appreciate the feedback!!
I almost peed when you said "shaking the trolls off" you are hilarious.
lol! 😳🙊 thank you!
Always love how positive you are and consistent. Thanks munchichi
Thank you, I appreciate that so much! Thanks for bringing positivity to this community
We have had enough time to know maple syrup and honey is perfect in moderation so I'll stick to that. (Maple syrup is way too sweet to eat in 1/4 cup anyway). Stevia tastes gross to me and also do all artificial sweeteners so I'll let my taste be the guide to what are meant to go in my body.
of course! Taste should totally be a guide to what's right for you! I agree, a lot of brands of stevia have a really bad aftertaste.
Love these videos! Normally I struggle to get through a 20 minute nutrition video but you always make it fascinating. Thank you!
thank you so so much! :)
What about monk fruit sugar?
I discuss that sweetener in the video 👍😀
+Mind Over Munch oh I'm sorry! At the moment I didn't have time to watch the whole video before commenting.
Honestly, I think this is the best video I've ever watched on RUclips. I really appreciate how much time you spent on this. It was so thorough and easy to understand. Thank you so much for all the info! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thank you so much! These types of videos are my passion projects so I really appreciate that! :)
Omg! Yum!!
+Maria Laura Perez thank you!!
Look into veganism! It has been shown to help a lot with diabetes!
+Renee Grange I can never be a vegan. I love meat too much!
There are substitutes for everything you love as a meat eater! I used to say the same thing and I feel so amazing being vegan now! Watch Forks Over Knives, it has a lot of great information about the health aspect of it!
+Renee Grange I'll check it out... But nothing beats a medium rare steak.
so glad you made a video like this. it's so hard to find out what kind of sugar is good and bad.
It is hard, and the truth is they aren't "good" or "bad," they are just different! The best thing we can do is educate ourselves so we understand them as best we can :) Cheers
I really wish you didn't use the high pitched voice for the science info parts. It makes it very hard to pay attention
sorry you didn't like that part! Cheers
Have a great week!
my pleasure! Thank you so so much and thank you for acknowledging Christian, too :) Much love!
"Made of chemicals" means literally nothing
Thanks!
You can definitely see how much time and effort was put into this video. It was so informative and well presented.
thank you!!
I just read so many comments. I don't see any trolls so far, this is literally just such a good and super informative video!!
Thank you! I am honestly amazed by the support in this community. It is so inspiring!
Very informative! I love how you told everyone to be nice. People need to hear that too!
:) Thank you so much! I'm glad you found the video useful and appreciate the feedback :) Much love!
Love you !
Thank you
I appreciate your presentation here.
Thank you for taking the time for this video - it's much appreciated!
And thanks for not giving us any pseudo-science
thank you so much!
You do such a good job at presenting the facts without being one sided! Ur just so knowledgable!
thank you very much!!
Had to take a youtube break for a while but SO SO glad to be back! Loving your vegan/Nutrition information videos!
yay! Happy to have you back! Thanks :)
Alyssia, this was just super helpful and great information. Thanks for making information clear, free, and available!!!
My pleasure! So glad to hear this is informative for you, Kassie! :)
Love this video ❤️ Thank you for the info my husband and I learned something new and that's always a good thing😁 Keep them coming😁
