It makes me sad that eating clean and healthy is so expensive that most people cannot afford to do so. We as consumers ought to demand more from the food industry - that’s the only way they’ll be incentivized to compete and deliver better ingredients at more accessible prices.

I will usually do that. If I can make it myself and work it into my schedule without it affecting my stress I will also make my own products. I make my own yogurts and breads etc. already. But I will also make some other foods and stuff if it’s more affordable than the expensive option at the store. Yogurt for example is best when made at home. You get the most probiotics at their freshest point when you make it at home. The best yogurt I have available is $6.00 plus per tub (less than a quart) and I can make it for less than $1.00

I appreciate the video. The prices for those foods are outrageous. When people want to eat healthier, the food companies surely make it hard for them. We make our own baked goods, for a fraction of the cost. We mostly eat eggs but for a change, it is also easy to make you own cereal with good and healthy ingredients.
Also, we are experimenting with making our own ice cream. Even though I can afford the extra money to buy the pricey brands of foods, it goes against my principles and I refuse to support their larceny. And besides, I would rather eat foods I make, not something made in a factory. I’ll keep making my own.

Why are we so unhealthy now? They didnt have coconut sugar and no calorie sugar. Personally, I dont care about the calories. I care that sugar causes inflammation and insulin to rise. I dont want that. But coconut sugar hasn't been around all that long from my understanding so how do we really know it's better?

Good for might be more expensive that processed food but Poor health is way more expensive than nutritious and organic food so it just depends on where you want to spend your money. Also if you shop sales, organically grown fruits and veggies and grass-fed beef is sometimes less expensive. This week I bought grass fed hamburger, organic strawberries, celery and red bell peppers that were on sale.

A good stevia brand is NOW. They have a liquid vegetable glycerin "glycerite" version that does not contain any alcohol sugars. Just a suggestion. Doesn't have the bitter aftertaste common to many stevia products. Haven't found it at ant stores in my town, but you can find them on the Internet.

Bobby, check your sources on coconut sugar. There have been two glycemic index studies on coconut sugar and the one all the products promoters refer to -- the one that claims the GI is 35 -- was done by the Philippines Food & Nutrition Research Institute way back in 2003. It was government sponsored, which is troubling since the Philippines is the world's second largest exporter of coconut sugar. There were also a number of flaws in the methodologies used, according to numerous sources.
So what did the OTHER study say? In 2013, the world standard lab for glycemic index reference numbers, the Sydney University Glycemic Index Research Service (SUGIRS) did its own test and found the GI of cocount sugar to be 54. That's a very small difference from cane sugar, which they rate at 60.

These companies manipulate and it's no surprise that they chose to advertise on your channel, as I am sure they feel that people will automatically think that their product is healthy.
