It makes me sad that eating clean and healthy is so expensive that most people cannot afford to do so. We as consumers ought to demand more from the food industry - that’s the only way they’ll be incentivized to compete and deliver better ingredients at more accessible prices.

I'm starting to make everything from scratch. If I want a swert treat, then I make a mug cake. I just need to make it an organic and healthier version. Thanks for the videos.
I appreciate the video. The prices for those foods are outrageous. When people want to eat healthier, the food companies surely make it hard for them. We make our own baked goods, for a fraction of the cost. We mostly eat eggs but for a change, it is also easy to make you own cereal with good and healthy ingredients. Also, we are experimenting with making our own ice cream. I learn so many things in just one of your videos. Thank you for telling us the little tips as they pop up when you look at ingredients on products, such as coconut sugar and coconut palm sugar are the same thing. I appreciate you!
It is expensive, but so is the processed junk food and alcohol that people spend their money on. You can't put a price on your health. But I do agree that these foods should be more affordable for more people.
Simple mills cookies really do taste like chips ahoy. Same texture too. I gave one to a friend and didn't tell her.she thought it wss one of the mini cup chips ahoy cookies.
I would love to hear why you think to avoid sugar. I dont understand why people in the olden days used to eat sweets everyday yet they were mostly thinner. What happened? Why are we so unhealthy now? They didnt have coconut sugar and no calorie sugar. Personally, I dont care about the calories. I care that sugar causes inflammation and insulin to rise. I dont want that. But coconut sugar hasn't been around all that long from my understanding so how do we really know it's better?
Good for might be more expensive that processed food but Poor health is way more expensive than nutritious and organic food so it just depends on where you want to spend your money. Also if you shop sales, organically grown fruits and veggies and grass-fed beef is sometimes less expensive. This week I bought grass fed hamburger, organic strawberries, celery and red bell peppers that were on sale.

Thank you for all the helpful educational videos! I’ve been doing keto for two months now and you help my wife and I keep a delicious variety night after night! I’ve lost 30 pounds in just a little under two months!
Thanks for teaching me so much! Can you discuss herbal teas? I drink a lot of different ones...hibiscus, chamomile, licorice root, rose hips, even green teas. Thank you again!
Wait... at 16:45 you said non GMO oats and wheat are sprayed with Roundup at the end of the growing process to dry them out. I'm curious where you got that from.
Thank you Bobby! Shared and like this video. My wife keeps taking sweet and low and drinks Coke Zero Red Bull after I told her she is poisoning her her body. She is not listening. Hopefully she changes her mind after seeing this video!🙏
Thanks for doing this Bobby. I know a lot of people are big on stevia now, but be careful, you need to get the raw organic stevia. Read the labels, a lot of stevia has stuff like corn maltodextrin in it as well, which is just not good.
New Sub. Thanks for all your hard work. Appreciate you. The dr said i was pre diabetic then i was left trying to figure out what do i eat. Your video has helped me tremendously. I am no longer depressed and overwhelmed. ❤
So, so Thankful for you Bobby Parrish...may God Bless you for all the information you share with others and all the time to research, and hard work, and sacrifice you take into making these videos for us on a regular basis 🎉😊!
Hey Bobby, Thank you! Your videos are always so informative. They open my eyes to products that I would normally pass up in the supermarket. What about a "replacement/substitute/eat this not that" video for everyday basic items that we use all the time? You may already have review a lot of these items in different videos, but I was thinking of adding in baking items - Dessi's turf 😉! Maybe show both a "Keto" and a "better for you" version, items like sugar(which you did here already), brown sugar, power sugar, corn starch, baking powder, baking soda. vanilla extract, garlic powder, seasonings and whatever else....you know what I mean.
I find that because I eat healthier than the majority of my family I tend to just shrug off my sugar habits, this video was really informative especially about those other sweeteners :0 I’ll have to pick some of those up!
Coconut sugar is still sugar. Of the sugar alcohols, erythritol is the mildest on the stomach. I use it in moderation and have never had stomach upset with it. Sorbitol, Maltitol, and Xylitol are the ones that are hard on your stomach.
Hey Bob,I know you talk about cane sugar not being good, unless I missed it and you haven't mentioned it, I notice you never bring up cane sugar from the sugar cane plant to drink since the sugar metabolizes and absorbs slowly through the body thst doesnt spike your blood sugar levels. Just want to know your thoughts on that.
Hey Bobby, great video! Thanks for all the tips! Just a friendly suggestion: if you’ll be touching a lot of the store products to show us the contents and nutrition facts, I strongly advise you wear gloves :) just for your safety and the safety of others. In our city, we use a “window shopping” method. Only touch what you’ll be buying :) Stay safe!
My wife and I love your videos! When looking at a product we ask each other if it is Bobby approved! We both lost over 70 lbs since November. We used practically no added sugar. I have been looking for a good sugar substitute for a long time. I avoid man made ones like the plague! I've tried stevia and Lakanto. My conclusion is that there is NO substitute for sugar! I haven't tried the coconut sugar yet though. I suspect that I would not like the nutty flavor. How does it compare to sugar as far as calories?
How do you feel about Monkfruit being grown in China and it not being organic? Where does Lakanto source it's Monkfruit from? I can't seem to find out.
@@bate181 he tells you the truth. And he points out the good and bad of products. And where does he try to get you to eat bread? He's keto himself. He just tells you what breads to eat if you are going to eat it. Many people are still going to eat bread.
@@bate181 you obviously dont watch my channel, bc I tell people that i dont eat grains, but for those who want them, I show which are the best ones...its about the best choices.
Yes! Video's for healthy frozen lunches/dinners. I think one thing I have learned from watching you is "one can not believe what's on the front of the box!
thank you so much for all your informative videos bobby! I am currently doing keto after doing the pro-metabolic diet and I feel SOOO much better eating very little sugar. The only thing is I find chicory root fiber upsets my stomach a bunch so I sadly steer away from products with that added.
I remember my dad bringing home sugar cane from the farmers market for us kids to eat. It was such a fun treat to chew on. Lol!! I'm wondering, if we extract the juice from the sugarcane can we use it as a sweetener.
Thank you for doing this video on sugar and sweeteners! Would like for you to do something for those with diabetes or pre-diabetes. Consider this important to just avoid this illness.❤
That’s amazing Bobby! We just literally bought the Epic chicharones at Bj’s wholesale today. That’s awesome to know it’s approved by you! My hubby and I are on keto and nice to know. Thanks soo much!!
Thank you for all your hard work. I now walk around saying "is this Bobby approved?"😄 I have a question about protein powder, I read there is one that is absorbed much slower so it doesn't spike sugar levels as much. Since I didn't write it down, I can't remember which one it is. I know it's not whey. Thank you again
You’re talking about Casein Protein. And it doesn’t spike blood sugar high, it just doesn’t spike protein in the blood as high as whey since it’s digested slower. You can get it either in a powder or in yogurt and cottage cheese.
Hey there Bobby! Yes high five for sure for a better fitting mask!😷🖐🏼 I was a big Splenda & aspartame person, until it did a number on my digestion! I’m on the Stevia (Erythritol) wave now 🌊 tfs Love to Dessi & Rose💞🌹
A good stevia brand is NOW. They have a liquid vegetable glycerin "glycerite" version that does not contain any alcohol sugars. Just a suggestion. Doesn't have the bitter aftertaste common to many stevia products. Haven't found it at ant stores in my town, but you can find them on the Internet.
Love your videos.. have been buying some of your recommendations... though eating like you recommend is pricy .. a bit unsustainable unless you are a millionaire 🤪
Rather than buy ice cream, I like to make frozen fruit whip with just frozen organic fruit and water or milk in Blender (adding just enough liquid to blend fruit together). Naturally sweet from fruit no sugar or sugar substitutes needed. I buy 3 lb bag of frozen organic strawberries and blueberries from Costco.
get a smart phone! my gKids set me up! it's great! the smart phones are small computers! you can watch anywhere anytime. Waiting Rooms at Dr offices, hospitals, Stores! I wish I had WiFi way sooner! Ask him about BlueTooth too! head phones, headbands, on Amazon. good luck!
teach people how to make homemade ice cream, the commercial ice creams are unhealthy, i use coconut sugar in my home made ice cream but i wanna use maple syrup too, thank you for all the information, sharing is caring. i make home made ice cream using 1 cup of whole milk and 2 cups of heavy whipping cream, that's the perfect ratio.
My gastrointestinal specialist, due to gut problems, gastritis and such advised me to stay away from any sweeteners ending in “ol” ... I’ll ask my diabetic support group on better options than cane sugar
Bobby, check your sources on coconut sugar. There have been two glycemic index studies on coconut sugar and the one all the products promoters refer to -- the one that claims the GI is 35 -- was done by the Philippines Food & Nutrition Research Institute way back in 2003. It was government sponsored, which is troubling since the Philippines is the world's second largest exporter of coconut sugar. There were also a number of flaws in the methodologies used, according to numerous sources. So what did the OTHER study say? In 2013, the world standard lab for glycemic index reference numbers, the Sydney University Glycemic Index Research Service (SUGIRS) did its own test and found the GI of cocount sugar to be 54. That's a very small difference from cane sugar, which they rate at 60.
No offense Bobby, but $15 for a 10.5 ounce box of that NuCo cereal on Amazon is too expensive for my budget. Love the Purely Elizabeth grain free granola. I also get the Nature's Path grain free granola from Target! Also Zellies gum on Amazon is a good price, $9.50 for 100 pieces. Xylitol in it, so keep it away from your pets!

Oh and would love maybe a revised nut milk review. I love my coffee and find the most natural nut mills are so watery...the creamy ones have all those bad ingredients but tastes so much better, help! 🤣

I wondered how you felt about Talenti, as they advertise heavily on your channel. I don't necessarily blame you for that. Agreed, Cane Sugar is poison!. Please do a video on Low Sodium foods for people who have high blood pressure. Thanks!
So, so Thankful for you Bobby Parrish...may God Bless you for all the information you share with others and all the time to research, and hard work, and sacrifice you take into making these videos for us on a regular basis 🎉😊!
I like to use cinnamon as a sweetener, it has a nice kick to it.
🤯 My mind is blown away about the food industry & Monsanto. Bobby I am grateful for your info. 🙏🏻 God Bless you & your beautiful family. 😊
I use honey for my hot teas. I get the honey from my dad. He has bees.
Local honey has antibodies to help your body fight off viruses in YOUR area. And when you're throat is sore, use lemon and honey to fix it quick. 😘
Lucky!!!!
You never heat honey as per Ayurveda.
Yo hit us with another verse
@@speakvishal , can you explain? I’m truly interested. Many thanks
Coconut sugar is still sugar. Of the sugar alcohols, erythritol is the mildest on the stomach. I use it in moderation and have never had stomach upset with it. Sorbitol, Maltitol, and Xylitol are the ones that are hard on your stomach.
Great video on sugars and products that contain sugar. I'm experimenting with different sweetening products so this video really helps.
Your Spanish accent “chicharrones” is perfect.
Is that a pork rind??
The Simple Mills cookies have cane sugar in the chocolate chips. Better to make your own and use Lily’s stevia sweetened chocolate chips.
Only touch what you’ll be buying :)
Stay safe!
No gloves spread more bacteria and germs. You’re better off just washing your hands or using hand sanitizer
@@natalieunanue5502 thank God someone said it because all they're doing is spreading it
Natalie Unanue shouldn’t you do both?
@@vbella39 of course, but if you're somewhere where you can't wash your hands, use hand sanitizer (something is better than nothing)
Thanks 😊👍 Bobby Iam learning a lot about health y product s, it's a blessing 😀😊🎉
Does Coconut sugar need to be organic? Thanks Bobby! ❤️❤️❤️
Bobby flavcity Is A Life Saver Thank You!!!!!
Bobby, your Spanish accent is on point. Appreciate you pronunciating things to the best of your knowledge 👌🏽
How do you feel about Monkfruit being grown in China and it not being organic? Where does Lakanto source it's Monkfruit from? I can't seem to find out.
Lakanto's monk fruit is cultivated near the scenic town of Guilin which is nestled in the breathtaking Karst Mountains in Southern China.
@@bate181 Why are you?
@@bate181 he tells you the truth. And he points out the good and bad of products. And where does he try to get you to eat bread? He's keto himself. He just tells you what breads to eat if you are going to eat it. Many people are still going to eat bread.
@@bate181 you obviously dont watch my channel, bc I tell people that i dont eat grains, but for those who want them, I show which are the best ones...its about the best choices.
@@BobbyParrish That's exactly what I told him but his mind is made up to bash you to everyone. Fortunately, no one cares what he says.
You are doing such an important job informing the public.I have learnt so much.Thank yoy.
I really want you to make a video about healthy frozen food ( breakfast or lunch time) please.
Also I love your videos, you have an amazing channel.
That’s a great idea! I’d love to watch that!
I found coconut sugar and it’s great in coffee! Thank you.
Thanks to watching your videos Bobby, I buy Monkfruit for my sugar replacement.
Can you please consider making on video on how and why you got into all of this?
That’s amazing Bobby! We just literally bought the Epic chicharones at Bj’s wholesale today. That’s awesome to know it’s approved by you! My hubby and I are on keto and nice to know. Thanks soo much!!
Thank you for all your hard work. I now walk around saying "is this Bobby approved?"😄
I have a question about protein powder, I read there is one that is absorbed much slower so it doesn't spike sugar levels as much.
@@ponchoskunk420 thank you
@@janekiceniuk1578 egg protein powder is also slower absorption than whey, pea, soy, rice or hemp if you are allergic to casein
@@davidsalvador6031 thank you, can't have soy, pea protein powder is nasty. I'll try a casien powder.
I thought I heard that casein is a carcinogen from the “What the health” Netflix documentary
I am!!! My diabetic A1C went from 13 down to 6. They want you to keep it at 7 or below. My Dr was really happy.
His wife she must love having him shop & cook for her...
She does actually haha
Ever notice she always seems exhausted!! Lol who can keep up with his energy?!!
@@loricojocari8847 that means he leaves her satisfied haha
Hey there Bobby! Yes high five for sure for a better fitting mask!😷🖐🏼 I was a big Splenda & aspartame person, until it did a number on my digestion! I’m on the Stevia (Erythritol) wave now 🌊 tfs Love to Dessi & Rose💞🌹
I'm learning so much from you Bobby Thank you for all you do😉💗
A good stevia brand is NOW.
Love your videos keep them coming. Im on my grandsons account, but just love watching you a ny way i can :-)
get a smart phone! my gKids set me up! it's great! the smart phones are small computers!
you can watch anywhere anytime. Waiting Rooms at Dr offices, hospitals, Stores!
I wish I had WiFi way sooner!
Ask him about BlueTooth too!
head phones, headbands, on Amazon. good luck!
Thank u for all the information. But for senior citizens living on a fixed income most products are very expensive. But can make small changes.
teach people how to make homemade ice cream, the commercial ice creams are unhealthy, i use coconut sugar in my home made ice cream but i wanna use maple syrup too, thank you for all the information, sharing is caring.
i make home made ice cream using 1 cup of whole milk and 2 cups of heavy whipping cream, that's the perfect ratio.
Dairy free recipe pls
My gastrointestinal specialist, due to gut problems, gastritis and such advised me to stay away from any sweeteners ending in “ol” ... I’ll ask my diabetic support group on better options than cane sugar
When will you be coming to Australia and teaching us all about our brand of groceries.
I would love this. We dont have anyway near as much variety as they do
Bobby, check your sources on coconut sugar.
The “devil” is in everything!
I am so super wonderfully grateful to Bobby. Thank you Bobby you're the best
Just an FYI, Thrive market has their own coconut cereal for 7.49, same size box-same cereal. Still expensive, but i do love that cereal.
I thought those cookies were $14.99 for a box.
You can make your own granola, and Dessi has a recipe on how to make it without an oven.
🙋🏻♀️ I am! Bobby thank you for always being the good angel sitting on my shoulder always reminding me to do better! Admittedly during the pandemic I fell off the wagon due to panic etc. would love to see you do some content on how to either bounce back from poor pandemic diet, or how to still shop ‘well’ when availability is scarce. Oh and would love maybe a revised nut milk review. I love my coffee and find the most natural nut mills are so watery...the creamy ones have all those bad ingredients but tastes so much better, help! 🤣
“The artist formally known as aunt jemima” 😂
Yeah, that's funny.....they had to change her name...to me she will always be Aunt Jemima.....but I don't buy the pancake mix, I make my own, and I buy Mrs. Butterworth Syrup.... waiting for Bobby to find us a good one to try.....or can make my own once I find that sugar Bobby talks about.....have to drive an hr. to the stores he visits.....I know I can order on Amazon, but I think they are expensive....but I just may order some.....
I LOVED that.
Cooking with dates is also a good way to naturally sweeten foods and lose weight. I make a syrup with them and use it in my baking and cooking.
And, I've used raisins and sometimes dates in my cereal.
Thank you Bobby. Learning!😍
oh boy I was told cane sugar was good for you. I have been buying organic cane sugar at Costco and using that in all my baking instead of my white sugar???WOW!! thanks for this, so what sugar can I use for my sweet breads???
This was a great video. A lot of good information. Thank you!
Hi Bobby I have too use monkfruit with a date in my smoothie love your videos
Such a great walk through! Love it! Thanks for this Bobby! I gotta check Amazon for that keto cereal u talked about! Hopefully it doesn't cost an arm and a leg 😆
I wondered how you felt about Talenti, as they advertise heavily on your channel. I don't necessarily blame you for that. These companies manipulate and it's no surprise that they chose to advertise on your channel, as I am sure they feel that people will automatically think that their product is healthy. Because I had never heard you mention them until this video, I felt you probably were not in support of them. I value your information. I am heading to Aldi this morning to buy some So, no sugar added vanilla ice cream! Thanks for ALL YOU DO! :-)
