Preach this stuff man and expose these companies that poison us with stuff that is not required at all. You are definitely the kind of reviewer this society can benefit from, kudos!
Agree. Now with the age of the Internet more people are realizing just what the hell they've been feeding their families for decades. I would imagine the masses getting more ingredient savy that would put pressure on companies to change. They'll do whatever they can get away with. Now hopefully the people will not assume corporations/big government are not their guardian angels. Never were probably never will be.
mr. Bobby, you are helping to save our lives if we follow along with your Videos, and buy your products you are really a blessing. May God bless you and keep you and your family.

Bryer's use to be great years ago; it had very basic ingredients: cream, sugar, ect... Trader Joe's carried it, and I loved it! After a number of years, I noticed the quality was changing, and after a few disappointments, I looked on the label and It said it was made by GoodHumor. Bryer's went totally downhill after they aquired it, then it was sold to KRAFT who totally finished it off. I'll never buy it again, and it was my favorite. Too bad.
Yes, Bryer's came out with that stupid marketing term, "double churned", which just meant they dropped the quality of ingredients...the first time after this, I didn't even look at the ingredients when I bought some, but I knew as soon as I had my first spoonful. I looked at the ingredients and never bought another Bryer's after that. I have only bought Hagen Daz ice cream since then...in addition to a locally made in BC, Canada organic ice cream that we eat as well.
That was my question too. What happened to Breyers? When you showed the side panel , it answered both our questions. :) UNILEVER took it over. Unilever, famous for soap too.

It’s carried in several places in the Boston area, so they are shipping far and wide from Oregon. Thanks for doing this Bobby! Ice cream is a food group of its own.
In my heart of hearts I truly love Haagen Daz and have from WAY back on the East Coast. But after 40 years in Seattle and learning that dairy MUST be organic (if not grass fed etc), ALDENS has my heart. Their vanilla ice cream is delicious, and I appreciate its got less sugar (and heavy cream) than Haagen Daz. There's also the option of homemade ice cream 😃 The ice cream makers with the canister that you put in the freezer are the easiest and you can have soft served in 20-30 minutes. Best way to get a clean ingredient ice cream and something to involve the family, too
As a pregnant diabetic woman THANK U, I've been craving ice cream like crazy but can't have any because I didn't know of any good low carb, sugar free options until now 🤗🤗
I think you should follow this up with a keto friendly ice cream recipe to do at home. This list is great but making healthy ice cream at home is awesome.

I don’t think it takes away from the flavor because I don’t add a ton but I don’t like things overly sweet so it’s a great way to feel like your indulging but actually pretty good for you at least better than just a bowl of straight up sugary ice cream.
My husband was so glad to hear that Haagen Daz is "Bobby Approved" hahaha! On a more serious note, thank you for talking about all these added ingredients in items like Ice Cream. I did the whole 30 to try to figure out why I got heartburn so bad, (doctors just want to give you drugs and even had a scope done that saw nothing wrong) When I tried cottage cheese again after 30 days of no heartburn, boom..heartburn. So I figured ok, I cant eat milk. BUT it wasn't milk! It was all those chemicals to make milk products smooth....once I had milk products that were just made up of milk, and eggs and other natural ingredients, no heartburn. isn't that weird?
It's not all Haagen Daz though. It's only the vanilla flavor. Other flavors have natural flavor as ingredients and other chemicals. Only other flavor I found to be good is green tea Haagen Daz.
Me either. This is a big deal for a family with gut issues. We do 15 different things to heal our guts but DID eat this ingredient. I read that as a sea weed it was “good”! Good grief is more like it!
I just discovered the So Delicious brand so I was a litter nervous as I love them, the cashew milk is amazing! They definitely live up to their name. Glad they got the green light!
I have learned so much from your videos. I can watch them all day. I'm excited to go to the supermarket now and read labels. I read labels before, but now I know what to look out for.
Halo Top is owned by Blue Bunny, They also make all the great value ice creams, all the other store novelties(publix, kroger, heb, etc), they make Yasso, tillamook, outshine, PFS, Sysco, Glenview,PF Chang, they own the contract for Weight Watchers and Healthy Choice etc, under the Well's Enterprise. They were bought out by Ferrero so expect good changes.
Just got your Keto Meal Plan recipe book and I am so impressed with it! Giving it a 5 star review! One request would be for you to create a printable list of “Bobby approved” items from each store. Thanks for making my keto life tastier!! ❤️
He has a Bobby approve app you just scan the item and it will let you know if approved 👍 or not 👎and will give you alternative options 😉 love the app ❤
Thanks for this one. So timely. I was just doing this very thing last evening trying to find a "decent'" ice cream. Reading labels has become a thing. I actually know some stuff thanks to you guys!
We use frozen bananas, pure maple syrup, organic cream or raw milk and cacao powder to make our ice cream now. Keep frozen bananas on hand and it takes 5 min in the nutribullet.
I occasionally indulge in french vanilla ice cream and I use Breyers...I make my own chocolate and butterscotch toppings...they are so much better than store bought...ice cream is a great summer treat.😊
I just made almond ice cream and cashew ice cream. It’s so easy and I used organic milk and whipped cream and monk sugar. Rosie could make ice cream by herself.
I was never allowed sugar as a child. Cherries and grapes still feel like a treat (we ate pizza every Monday so that’s another story 😉). Thank you for the video ❤️
I love Grapes. But I think that I'm allergic.. and they seem to make my belly bulge more. Cherry's are Great.. they help with pain. Especially tart. But all are good. But I think they make me cough. Have you tried Bobby approved Cherry Vanilla ice cream. They finally put it on sale were you can buy One.. Yum ... But I remember hearing that noone over the age of two should have milk.. I haven't been following that .. maybe I need it for my malnourished bones? Once in awhile can't hurt. But if I had a food processor or Mini.. I could make my own frozen deserts. Which would be very satisfying... And no sugar (if I choose.. or a drop). And certainly not chemicals.. I often add bran to my ice cream to make it more digestable.. and cinnamon... Other than the occasional cherry vanilla.. Bryers is still my main go to. It's natural.. except maybe some flavoring.. So Far. I really could use a nice little food processor. While I can still afford food..
@@karenbrandwein8245 yes I grew up eating Bryers' ... and I still sometimes eat their vanilla chocolate and strawberry or their strawberry but I really do miss their peach ice cream but it just seems to be that nobody sells it anymore .
Cherries and grapes are a treat. Think I'm allergic to grapes.. I stopped eating them.. but I Love Them.. think they made my belly bludge. (Which it's doing anyway now. And possibly caused tightness in my chest. (Not good). And cherries, especially when it's a bumper crop are outrageous... Love 🍉. My mother thought watermelon was too high in sugar. Duh... We always had cantaloupe in the house. My father ate well. And when my parents had guests Always had to. Have a pineapple.. just found out itsba Victorian custom that means Your Very Welcome here. But my Father ate alot of Canned in its own juice pineapple. He had fruit and vegetables at dinner all the time. I'm probably like your mother's age.. But my mother became very healthy conscious.. On the one hand and mean on the other. Now I have a sugar additcton that I have to break. Too many mints. Use to help with digestion but became a habit. I'm also eating too much icecream ..I think. Weight is low.. but body mass increased... Need exercise. Have injury and pain and cannot get treatment.. the world's changed. Not for the better
I've been watching and rewatching your series of videos like this and it made me really think of the stuff I buy for my family. I have 4 young kids 👦👧🧒👶so this summer I cleaned up my pantry and fridge because I was mortified when I started paying attention on the ingredients. I make better choices now though we have to pay a little bit more cos quality ingredients costs more 👀 but a little adjustments to our budget totally worth it.
Wow, oh wow! This makes me want to go buy ICE CREAM!!! I usually ignore everything but Hagen or H.E.B., but now I feel excited to explore more. Thank you.
I'm now opting for "dessert" that is largely fresh fruit (organic, of course) - pineapple, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries - with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream on top or just whipped cream.
Bobby, If you haven't tried Tillamook frozen custard, please do and leave a review. The ingredients are all high quality, more cream, less air. . I just tried the salted caramel. Yum. By the way, I love your video's.
Amazing to see the amount of shit these companies put into our food. Back in the day it was just basic ingredients. I don't see why companies have to complicate and contaminate simple foods.
Maximize profits...all corporations hold the goal of maximizing profits over everything else...including human life. i.e. the infamous Ford decision not to recall the dangerous Ford Pinto because they determined it was more profitable to payout any potential lawsuits then to recall the defective car. All those chemicals, even if toxic, are cheaper then real non man made ingredients. Even most vitamins contain synthetic man made vitamins instead of naturally sourced ingredients.
Some of the Breyers ice cream that are the original ones are still pretty good such as the vanilla chocolate and strawberry or the plain strawberry but I haven't been able to find their peach ice cream in a long time and that used to be the best tasting and free of all that junk they put an ice creams nowadays
@@gardensofthegods Strongly disagree with you... taste is subjective and some people enjoy the taste of garbage ingredients...as exemplified by the popularity of McDonalds. Breyers chocolate ice cream ALL ingredients: fresh cream, modified milk ingredients, sugar, condensed milk and/or skim milk powder, cocoa, glucose (why, if you already have sugar??), natural flavour (which is not needed if you use REAL ingredients), mono and diglyecerides, vegetable gums and natural colour (again should not be required if you have real NATURAL ingredients). Häagen-Dazs chocolate ice cream ALL ingredients: cream, sugar, concentrated skim milk, liquid egg yolk, cocoa.
Thank you Bobby for literally giving us the scoop on which ice creams to buy I plan to try making my own ice cream there are videos that has 3 to 4 ingredients in them.
It is so crazy how descriptive many of these brands are. All of the green packaging, rainforest alliance, etc. and then it has the yucky ingredients! How dishonest!
Bobby, I wanted to tell you what my clinical pharmacist told me when I was diagnosed with type II diabetes. He said the only thing you need to watch is the Total Carbs. It doesn't matter if you try and deduct fiber and sugars, it's the total cabs that count when considering foods for a diabetic, it's the bottom line. Love your videos though. Hi from Spokane,WA.
Bottom line- READ INGREDIENTS! if there are ingredients beyond sugar., cream, vanilla, eggs,, and you cannot pronounce them, don't bother. I've found that Bryers natural vanilla., Häagen-Dazs vanilla and chocolate are your best bets, and they taste great 👍 beware of the low carb, keto, low sugar- they make up for these qualities by filling them with crap that works against you
@@stephaniedagenais525Seriously, it has GMO ingredients in it? That’s the only one I ever buy. I love the chocolate and vanilla both because they’re so creamy with only a few ingredients. Where did you see this about the GMO? I’m bummed.
I remember back in the day Ben & Jerry's used to tout the fact that they didn't have guar gum in their ingredients as part of an ad campaign. I guess since they sold it, that went away
Excellent! I was afraid of a "Bobby ruins ice cream" episode but now I feel I can make better choices. I will consider it a bonus that I will be buying tiny containers. Right? Yes, I will.
hi Bobby, I live in Taiwan n we have Costco here. just want to express my deep appreciation for your great videos😊 I grew up in Canada and I read labels before I buy my food. my friends never listened to me when I tell them stop using GMO oil n stop drinking " sugar water". Want coffee! I've heard coffee beans are so highly sprayed with pesticides. Which brands are best? Caribou vs Starbucks vs market pantry vs Cameron's vs others...Organic worth it? Fair trade definition?
The Bryers Vanilla Bean is so exquisite it tastes like it was just shaved off the Vanilla Bean really fenomenal. There's no food in heaven, so do enjoy. & Eat Kosher 😋💗💖 of course.
Talenti Cold Brew Dairy Free sorbet is one of the bests! It tastes rich like ice cream, yet it has an extremely slim ingredient list with nothing very harmful in it. The only one I am able to indulge in from time to time with my autoimmune issues.
Easy answer, ice cream like Breyers and dreyers were bought out by large corporations like unilever and nestle. My father who grew up eating those products could immediately tell a drop in quality. Lucky enough he retired in a city with local creameries so he can buy from them directly.
I just stick my rebel ice cream in the microwave for 5 seconds and then it's creamy. I looove rebel. The mint chocolate chip is my favorite. Thanks for all the insight on ice cream. 😊

Thanks for the info 😊
It's not all Haagen Daz though. It's only the vanilla flavor. Other flavors have natural flavor as ingredients and other chemicals. Only other flavor I found to be good is green tea Haagen Daz.
No, nothing weird just the truth
Dr's can't handle the truth.they want t perscribe drugs, s they can get a kickback
Oh you didn't know
Same! But I scanned the icecream on his app and it said not approved? 🤔
The only ice cream I ever buy.
Great review as always. Was not aware about carrageenan attacking the good gut bacteria.
Thanks for reiterating on thevissue with Natural Flavoring.
Bobby is so adorable he says, “Now you gotta stay away from this,” and “I don’t want you to have that”, he’s like a big brother
I have learned so much from your videos. I can watch them all day. I'm excited to go to the supermarket now and read labels. I read labels before, but now I know what to look out for.
God bless you and your family Bobby thanks for everything you do...
Thank you for checking on brands outside of ur state! You really take care of ur followers 🥰
I love love love love love your channel and your personality. Thank you for always guiding us to eat more mindful and improve our lifestyle!
Just got your Keto Meal Plan recipe book and I am so impressed with it! Giving it a 5 star review! One request would be for you to create a printable list of “Bobby approved” items from each store. Thanks for making my keto life tastier!! ❤️
Great idea
That's too easy.
He has a Bobby approve app you just scan the item and it will let you know if approved 👍 or not 👎and will give you alternative options 😉 love the app ❤
Yes great idea! 😉
Alden’s Organic ice cream should have been reviewed
Thanks for this one. So timely. I was just doing this very thing last evening trying to find a "decent'" ice cream. Reading labels has become a thing. I actually know some stuff thanks to you guys!
Häagen-Dazs is actually pretty good flavor ice cream, that means there's no need for the extra stuff
We use frozen bananas, pure maple syrup, organic cream or raw milk and cacao powder to make our ice cream now. Keep frozen bananas on hand and it takes 5 min in the nutribullet.
Sounds yummy!
I occasionally indulge in french vanilla ice cream and I use Breyers...I make my own chocolate and butterscotch toppings...they are so much better than store bought...ice cream is a great summer treat.😊
Your camera person is spot on... steady and gets great shots. Thank you.
i was so happy when you approved of the No Sugar Added Vanilla Bean by So Delicious 😊 i always buy it and eat the whole pint
Close the refrigerator door! Lol
Thank you for teaching my family how to shop healthy and eat healthy we need more people like you fantastic.
I just made almond ice cream and cashew ice cream. It’s so easy and I used organic milk and whipped cream and monk sugar. Rosie could make ice cream by herself.
Many thanks for helping us stay educated & make better choices!!😁👍
You had a smart Mom or Parents who were at least aware of some things and wanted the best for their family. More parents need to be like that.
They gave you sugar anyways...just in the form of starchy flour!!!
Thank you.
If you are into handmade, I went to Lehman’s in Ohio and bought an old fashioned hand crank for authentic homemade ice cream! Delicious!❤
Thank you Bobby for the helpful information about ice cream! I didn’t realize ice cream has those sneaky ingredients that aren’t good for you!
I'm now opting for "dessert" that is largely fresh fruit (organic, of course) - pineapple, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries - with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream on top or just whipped cream.
Just wash those pesticide’s off the fruit!!!
I miss the 80’s !! And love non dairy ice cream!! I love your vids! 💗 🍨
DAMN ! Bobby you totally blew up!! 6.25 mil?! Last time I checked you weren’t as big at all! Congratulations!!!! ❤
Agenda and make money at our expense
Couldn’t have said it better
Thank you Bobby for literally giving us the scoop on which ice creams to buy I plan to try making my own ice cream there are videos that has 3 to 4 ingredients in them.
It is so crazy how descriptive many of these brands are. All of the green packaging, rainforest alliance, etc. and then it has the yucky ingredients! How dishonest!
Meh actual vanilla is harvested from Madagascar under questionable labor circumstances and with disregard for environmental consequences
I KNOW RIGHT
@Lcat RN exactly; false advertising or should I say deceptive.
I noticed that some of the ice creams have sorbitol, which is also notorious for raising blood sugars.
P.S. Rebel ice cream tastes like garbage.
Bottom line- READ INGREDIENTS! if there are ingredients beyond sugar., cream, vanilla, eggs,, and you cannot pronounce them, don't bother. I've found that Bryers natural vanilla., Häagen-Dazs vanilla and chocolate are your best bets, and they taste great 👍 beware of the low carb, keto, low sugar- they make up for these qualities by filling them with crap that works against you
And causes health problems too.
The keto ice creams taste like cardboard just nasty
Aldi’s Special Selects brand ice cream has super simple, super clean ingredients and it’s delicious! Not organic, but very clean otherwise!
Is there sugar and dairy in it?
@@lindawade9647 yes, it has both. I also recently found that there are GMO ingredients in it… so I don’t buy it anymore. 😕
@@stephaniedagenais525Seriously, it has GMO ingredients in it? That’s the only one I ever buy. I love the chocolate and vanilla both because they’re so creamy with only a few ingredients. Where did you see this about the GMO? I’m bummed.
Talenti is my guilty pleasure. I also like Haagen-Dazs.
It's my favorite for quality's and and flavor. Dark Chocolate Mango Raspberry top 👌
Talenti comes in a plastic container? Yes, that's another good one!
Joan Lynch I think he said to stay away from talenti?? 🤷♀️
Talenti is sooooo good, but DAM, the sugar and calories r oouiitrageous!
I like both of them too and they are the worst
I remember back in the day Ben & Jerry's used to tout the fact that they didn't have guar gum in their ingredients as part of an ad campaign. I guess since they sold it, that went away
Ben and Jerry’s isn’t an American company anymore. Sold out b
@nightwalker382😢b.n.g..= WOKE 💩8
Thank you so much!! My downfall is ice cream... Breyer's. Now I feel better informed.
It's too funny that a youngster like yourself can say, "back in the day"!
My favorite is Humbolt Creamery Coffee! I'm glad you approve!
Lol you call 40 young?
I love how patient you are with your daughter, she is adorable ❤️🤗
Rosie is the best...just as cute as can be...her personality is what makes her....
Bobby is spot on with the brands I've tried! Yes, I can eat the pint of Halo Top in one sitting! Lol
Excellent! I was afraid of a "Bobby ruins ice cream" episode but now I feel I can make better choices. I will consider it a bonus that I will be buying tiny containers. Right? Yes, I will.
Blue Bunny Vanilla Bean ice cream is nice and clean. No gums, corn syrup or weird stuff.
hi Bobby, I live in Taiwan n we have Costco here. just want to express my deep appreciation for your great videos😊
I grew up in Canada and I read labels before I buy my food.
my friends never listened to me when I tell them stop using GMO oil n stop drinking " sugar water".
Now with your videos, they start to listen n choose what they put in their mounth haha!
keep up the good work!
thumb up for Bobby!😄
@marilynchen5256 - your "friends" are not interested in hearing your "health suggestions." Soon ... you will not ... have ANY friends !!
Jonny Pops were invented in Minnesota by college students at St. Olaf College (my Alma Mater). I'm proud to see they are Bobby approved!
AshGurl2897 st Olaf I heard rose talking about that I did nt think that was real.
St Olaf reminds me of Rose from golden girls 😉
As far as I know -- and I'm a big fan of St. Olaf -- Jonny Pops were developed by students at St. John's University in Collegeville, MN.
Thanks so much for your amazing reviews. I share your channel with all my family and friends.
thanks for sharing!!!
The frugal lady inside of me is saying "You are letting out all the cold air Bobbyyyyy" ;) lol
@7:00 ok Bobby, close the damn door. This is fridge! lol
Michael Pollan's food rule #2- Don't eat anything with more than 5 ingredients, or ingredients you can't pronounce.
Guess I can’t eat my salads
Guess i cant have my organic grass fed and finished protein shakes lol
Want coffee! I've heard coffee beans are so highly sprayed with pesticides. Which brands are best? Caribou vs Starbucks vs market pantry vs Cameron's vs others...Organic worth it? Fair trade definition?
Market Pantry is the worst one cuz it's made with a ton of gums and flavorings.
Outshine is my fav!! I cannot stop loving them!
Mine as well, Strawberry and Raspberry are my favorite.
You forgot Straus Vanilla Bean Ice cream. Best quality ingredient line up that I've seen ;)
Easy answer, ice cream like Breyers and dreyers were bought out by large corporations like unilever and nestle. My father who grew up eating those products could immediately tell a drop in quality. Lucky enough he retired in a city with local creameries so he can buy from them directly.
Could you do a video on the types of fruit spreads (jams and jellys). Love your videos!!!
Health before wealth❤ I really enjoy your awakenings to all the poison out there. We are what we eat!!
I just wish you were in Canada.❤
Thank you!!!! It’s hard to find ALL of this Great information in short a period of time. You are the best and really helping people ❤
The Nada Moo is really good. I thought for sure you would pick it up and it's all organic, made with coconut milk and it super creamy and dairy free.
I like Nada Moo too
I agree about Nada Moo and I don’t understand the approval of sugar alcohols; really bad for the GUT. Erythritol gave my husband severe Gout.
GREAT Job FlavCity team!! Thank you Always for in info!! You all keep Rocking it! Mad Love 💕 & Peace ✌🏼
Halo Top is NOT ice cream. It's frozen cardboard paste.
Yuck...😝
@C Hoc Maybe you had some bad ones?
Agree! Tried it one time and had to throw it in the trash!
agree it tastes horrible
@@a_ya_la The pistachio one is really good. Give that one a try.
Now, the berry one I say away from. I don't like that one at all.
I just stick my rebel ice cream in the microwave for 5 seconds and then it's creamy. I looove rebel. The mint chocolate chip is my favorite.
Thanks for all the insight on ice cream. 😊
Thank s Bobby for all you good information. I am addicted to so delicious coconut dairy free ice cream. Caramel cluster is the boom. I have to have it all the time. Thanks again Bobby you have saved me a lot of grief watching your videos.
I'm so glad you approved Haagen dazs. because vanilla swiss almond is my favorite.
Black pearl I agree, that list of ingredients on the Häagen-Dazs is a thing of beauty.
shrinkage to 14 oz
Guess I’ll stick with Haagen Dazs too. A favorite for years!
He missed cane sugar. In other vids he said it was bad.
too bad you're supporting Nestle by buying haagen dazs.
Yay! Loving all the reviews! We finally have a grocery store here in MS that carries these.
I need this video in my life! I was so hurt and confused in the supermarket the other day trying to choose a “healthy” ice cream 🍨!!!! 😂😭😭
Haagen Daz and Yasso the sodium level was 2500mg! Edy's had propylene glycol, an anti- freeze ingredient!
Many of these brands the parent company was Unilever
I am so glad I found your videos about all the goods I have been eating all my 75yrs. Now my health is bad an all because I didn't have Bobbi to tell me the truth about the company that sold me an my children which are adults and their family that I really thought I was feeding my family right ,I hope all these company go bank rup, an I hope I win the Instead pot so I can make more nutrition foods, on fix income I cannot afford to buy one
Foods
I love Steve's Small Batch Bourbon Vanilla grass-fed ice cream available selected Walmart and Whole Foods.
Whoa! Sounds amazing but have not seen that!
We made our own ice cream as a child...fresh peach, strawberry, blackberry etc...
