The BEST Anti-Inflammatory Foods At The Grocery Store...And What To Avoid!

  • The middle aisles of the grocery stores are loaded with products that cause inflammation because they use processed, refined, and sugary ingredients. I want to walk through the grocery store and first show you the most inflammatory items and ingredients, and how you can easily identify the. Once I do that, I want to show you the absolute best anti-inflammatory foods at the store, and why they are so much better than the alternative. Cooking oils and fats that are consumed every day can be very inflammatory, but not if you know which ones to choose. Simple carbs and starches are inflammatory, and so is sugar, but luckily there are some great options these days that are anti-inflammatory. Mad love..Bobby, Dessi, Rose, and Art! XOXO

I found my body hurting all over. I couldn't figure out what was going on. 14 vials of blood later , it was determined I was sensitive to wheat, shrimp, dairy, almonds, egg whites...and on my way to an autoimmune disorder. I immediately stopped eating gluten, sugar, and all processed foods and healed my gut. It took me 6 months of eating this way and 20 lbs fell off without much effort. Now, off blood pressure meds and my blood levels have normalized. I pay close attention to what goes into my body. Wish I had done this earlier in my life.

I also kicked gluten out of my diet. My ADHD symptoms decreased markedly! I told my nutritionist, neurologist as well as my general practitioner, and they all congratulated me. They confirmed this is a common result. I asked them please to share this with their patients. Why don't they at the regular??
      I am so grateful I had. ❤

@@jjr6929 I cannot eat gluten-free bread. It's terrible. Instead I choose to eat fermented sourdough made from starter when I do eat it. It causes less inflammation. Be sure it's actual sourdough and does not have yeast in it at all. Most of these will have little holes all through it. Food Lion has some and Aldi's has a version of it if you cannot make it yourself from starter.

As an Italian I suggest to make a simple sauce by heating olive oil and browning some garlic or soffritto (carrots, onions, celery) , then you add either tomato passata or mince for Bolognese sauce. Never mix wine and tomato, so if you add wine to meat evaporate it first and only then add tomato sauce. Finally, the longer the sauce cooks the better the flavour.

I agree. But 1. Companies, including small family owned farms must spend a lot of money to get the official certified standard 2. Sellers know that some customers are committed to a brand or type and know they can charge higher prices. 3. If you want organic products, sometimes they don't need to be organic because minimal, reasonable chemical use has little effect on the product. 4. Some organic products just suck. They are out of season or must be transported so far and picked before ripeness they simply taste terrible. 5. Consider checking out your local farm stand if you can. A legit organic farmer or rep will answer questions in detail about how she responsibly handles pest or other issues or why she is not officially certified. 6. Some products really taste better and are worth the cost because of more ethical production methods. To me, chicken is a good example. In the US, one can buy a whole chicken for $1 per pound for a 4.5 chicken versus an organic, more expensive, more humanely raised chicken that weighs 3 pounds and tastes better. But a poorer person may not have the means to make their preferred choices. 7. Jesus on a Ritz cracker, why do US companies typically add so much or any sugar to so many products. Yuck. Bread, salsa, I could go on. Anyway, thanks for letting me rant a bit. ❤ But I have all sympathy with the poster; it's harder to find healthier food when poor. But I think he's trying to help and we must be more informed.

I deal with joint pain a lot too. I researched different tribes around the world and found out that the ones with the lowest incidence of arthritic issues had the highest consumption of vegetables/potassium. Potassium naturally raises cortisol (which tends to be chronically low in people with rheumatoid arthritis), which decreases inflammation, thereby decreasing pain. It's helped me a lot! I supplement sometimes when I don't want to pile on fruits/veggies high in potassium.
