Amen. The only worrying thing is that a few years ago the company was sold to Flower Foods, Inc, a conglomerate that includes some horror brands as Wonder Bread and Tastycakes (!), but apparently they intend to keep the recipes the same. Fingers crossed!
“health foods” are definitely more expensive because of the branding, preparation, and packaging that goes into them.. that said, buying whole foods like eggs, potatoes, etc. can be a cheap and really easy way to eat well
It depends... of course the pre-made stuff is gonna be more expensive because they’re using better ingredients, however it is always cheaper to made stuff at home than eating out or buying pre-made foods. You don’t have to buy organic all the time if you can’t afford it. Conventional produce is better than no produce. It’s about finding a balance of the things that are important to you. Some ppl drop $60 on alcohol on one weekend (not saying this is you, just an example). I can fill my fridge and pantry with food for 1 week with $60 from Whole Foods, só choose wisely.

Whole grain bread may not be the best alternative because of the gluten and lectin content. Both gluten and lectins damage the intestines and can cause issues to the gut barrier, leading to long term complications. Some people are more susceptible than others! Bobby talks about nutrients in whole grains versus nutrients in white bread. Imo, aim to get your nutrients from vegetables, not bread! Vegetables will give you a more substantial variety of nutrients. If you’re going to consume bread, eat gluten free, sourdough, or a clean white bread directly after a workout(benefits from the insulin spike). You can also eat the bread with a fiber supplement to lessen the insulin impact.

I’m so glad Dave’s Killer Bread made the list. I’m allergic to Malt-Barley and just assume that if labels say Enriched, or Unbleached flour, it will have Malt-Barley. I’ve since been buying Organic and reading labels. Good to know about Cracked Wheat, did not know that.
Spread the word. Since Black Rock UK/Dutch bought the co in 2017 the bread doesn't mold. We went on vaca & the new 11 mo old kenmore broke & the bread was fine so we kept it. It tasted like mold but had zero. We've had a loaf sitting on the counter for 2 yrs my desk for 2 yrs & now covered patio. Still no mold. Ck pics on amazon if they're still there. Keep getting deleted. We tossed 8 bread products, all 4 yrs old all no mold.

I've been eating Ezekiel bread for a minute years because of the nutritional difference. I love it and trader Joe started to carrying it again here in Lodi California forward $3.99 a loaf. Everywhere else is at least $5 and more like over $6. Your videos just keep getting better and better! I love the egg ones - I never realized how much better than nutrition is! Thanks Bobby for what you're doing. You may be changing many lives for better health, 🥰
I used to eat it until it has various corn syrups and sugars added to it! I switched to a brand called angelina because it has no added sugars and is all whole grain-including 7 different whole grains! It is sold at costco in 3 packs.
Yes, we love Dave's Killer bread and have been eating it for about 2 years. First bought some at a Military grocery store. Our local grocery store did not have it but we requested it so now they stock it. We prefer the organic because the slices are smaller with less calories and sugar.

disheartening to see content creation thwarted for not having the proper "authority" or "consent" to film when all that it's doing is providing an honest, well informed review of store products to consumers and not of the stores that sell them. Ignorant is truly bliss and I only have myself to blame. Thank you for keeping us in the know and I implore that you guys continue to do so!!!!
OMG! So informative. I’m an avid ingredient reader, but I had no idea that cracked wheat was the same as enriched flour. Thanks for educating others about the ingredient aliases.
Fact: The cracked wheat listed on the label is NOT the same as enriched flour. Technically it is sold to the bakery as "crushed wheat" and appears very much like a lightly rolled oat. Very minimal process and no enrichment. How would I know? Worked there for 4 decades. FWIW Brownberry mainstream breads are just that: mainstream albeit using premium ingredients. GMO or organic certification is a costly affair and mainstream offers better quality than run of the mill sandwich bread at an affordable price. This guy should just say I'm going to trash every mainstream product because it's not GMO/organic blah blah blah. Nothing earth shattering to see here.
I've learned so much from you, Bobby. And I can't thank you enough. I'm saving every video to use as a reference for when I go shopping! You're the first person who cared enough to help us eat right and make better choices. Thank you so much

When I was growing up, my dad showed me trick on loaf of bread. He'd actually bring opening into together and suck out air. He then would spin close ,tie , and then put in frig. This apparently assist from getting spoilt or mole growing on loaves. I've used this trick and it works. Depending on where loaf is placed inside or out, bacteria attacks food, but apparently cold or maybe consistent light or heat does either slows or prevents bacteria growth. Hum, 🧐 thanks Dad for showing specific ideas that work if done correctly. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Thank you very much! Finally a good bread review. I was so exhausted from the horrible options in our isles. What the heck is going on with our food! A well nourished nation is one that is full of life, vitality, and health. Thank you Bobby!
Capitalism is what's happening. Companies want to make the most profit by selling food with the cheapest ingredients. It doesn't matter if they are killing us as long as they are making the most money as possible.

I watched your ice cream show but didn't see the two I waited for...Enlightened & Fairlife. Fairlane has the most delicious milk. They take out half the carbs & half the fat. I think you’re Bobby approved just because they have morphed our food to be more durable on shelf life aka...more crappy ingredients vs food back in the day. I could be wrong haha. Either way god bless you!
Ms. Ladybug Bobby I love your videos however, when I went to purchase Ezekiel bread for a friend I read in the ingredients “Organic Wheat Gluten”. Upon further research, I found that Ezekiel bread is not healthy for people with celiac disease or gluten intolerance. I was so disappointed!
So glad Canyon Bakehouse made your Bobby approved list. I am gluten intolerant and it is the only bread I eat every once in a while. Eating bread is a treat since I limit carbs!

Can anyone tell me why we are scared of GMO's and stuff, I want to listen to this dude, but he never actually explains why anything is bad besides "chemicals" and "it increases shelf life" I don't fucking care what it does, will it harm my body, and if so, how? I am suspicious of this guys intellect when he said soybean oil is bad cuz GMOs without explaining why GMOs are bad, and it just seems like fear mongering to worry about every single teeny tiny detail and assume everything thats added in food will kill you, I just want to be healthy without the wacky "omg this palm oil is like, used in factories so it must be bad" how tf is palm oil bad? His only explanation is "its used to prolong shelf life" and thats not a health defect .-.

I will always pay more for quality, and I’ll definitely pay even more for companies with altruistic policies💕
I just bought the Killer Dave's 21 grain bread from Walmart. It's delicious...It does contain Organic Cracked Whole Wheat which I hope is ok...

Dave's killer bread good 4 diabetes
I bought Ezekiel Bread at Walmart one time and I loved it.
it cracks me up when people say you don't have to have alot of money to eat healthy. The healthier stuff is more expensive period
Unfortunately, it is true, even though I buy vegetables and whole foods it costs so much when you buy organic.
True but it's worth it when you can afford it
“health foods” are definitely more expensive because of the branding, preparation, and packaging that goes into them.. that said, buying whole foods like eggs, potatoes, etc. can be a cheap and really easy way to eat well
Go to Aldi. Cheapest place to buy healthy.
With your recommended bread, organic sliced meat, proper dressing, I'm at $15 per sandwich!
Lmao😂
To be fair its bc its real food. Real ingredients ain't cheap unlike processed bs lol
pay at the grocery store or pay to the doctors

Thank you Bobby for providing educational on bread. Love your videos.❤

Scott Anderson Omgosh right!!! At first I thought he wasn’t going to talk about it bc he didn’t pull it off the shelf but then he pulled out the double loaf. I was like FINALLY!!! I just finished a loaf and I love the seeds and the size of the bread. Makes really good vegan sandwiches
I think Bobby has since changed his mind. Dave’s bread contains cane sugar and no longer Bobby approved.

Thanks for this! I've needed a video like this where I actually SEE you shop the aisle and scan the ingredients & analyze brands.

We tossed 8 bread products, all 4 yrs old all no mold.

disheartening to see content creation thwarted for not having the proper "authority" or "consent" to film when all that it's doing is providing an honest, well informed review of store products to consumers and not of the stores that sell them.
Knowledge is power!
