Baba O'Riley was released on 1971 classic album Who's Next. The title is derived from the combination of the song's philosophical and musical influences, Meher Baba and Terry Riley, and describes the scenes Pete Townshend witnessed during the Who's legendary performance at the Woodstock Festival.

    Lyrics:
    Out here in the fields
    I fight for my meals
I get my back into my living.
    I don't need to fight
    To prove I'm right
I don't need to be forgiven.
    yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
    Don't cry
    Don't raise your eye
    It's only teenage wasteland
    Sally, take my hand
    We'll travel south cross land
    Put out the fire
And don't look past my shoulder.
    The exodus is here
    The happy ones are near
    Let's get together
    Before we get much older.
    Teenage wasteland
    It's only teenage wasteland.
    Teenage wasteland
    Oh, yeah
    Its only teenage wasteland
    They're all wasted!
Anyone notice the similarities in "Best Song Ever" by One Direction (1D)?!

+Alice Stanescu This song couldn't be more accurate in todays hectic times... I mean, we have reached a level of communication, which was never achieved before, but we forgot to speak to each other. This is true sadness and a "teenage wasteland"... but that's just the tip of the iceberg and people won't realize this until the true "exodus is near"

    Out here in the fields
    I fight for my meals
I get my back into my living
    I don't need to fight
    To prove I'm right
I don't need to be forgiven
    Don't cry
    Don't raise your eye
    It's only teenage wasteland
    Sally take my hand
    We'll travel south cross land
    Put out the fire
And don't look past my shoulder
    The exodus is here
    The happy ones are near
Let's get together, before we get much older
    Teenage wasteland
    It's only teenage wasteland
    Teenage wasteland
    Oh yeah, teenage wasteland
    They're all wasted!

I was 10 years old when this song came out in 1971 and as a African American I didn't see color because good music was just good music, whether it was Classic Rock, Soul Music or R&B. The music of the 70's was just great classic music something that have and will forever be part of my life, today's music still hasn't replaced the songs of the 70's, 60's and 80's but that's OK because time have changed as far as music but like I said today's music still hasn't replaced the songs of the 70's, 60's and 80's.
