You need to hear the song 'Bad Company' by the band 'Bad Company' from the album 'Bad Company'! Paul Rodgers is probably one of the best classic rock singers of all time!
Very overlooked rock group. Their self-titled album is one of the greatest debut albums in history. Paul Rodgers is a great Rock vocalist. Some of their other great songs include: "Seagull", "Movin' On", "Don't Let Me Down", "Bad Company", "Good Loving Gone Bad", "Run With The Pack", "If You Needed Somebody".
I feel like there are always artists who pay the price of existing amongst so many other great artists at the same time. Simply lost in the shuffle. So random…
Paul Rogers, the singer has recently recovered from some major health problems. His first stroke was in 2016, and in 3 years he suffered 13, 11 minor and 2 major. He had to relearn to talk and walk again. After getting out of the hospital and rehab, he'd walk around his house and sing. He'd ask his wife how he sounded, and bless her, she told him he sounded better than ever, when in fact he didn't. But he kept it up, and finally regained his voice we all know and love. He just released his solo "album" MIDNIGHT ROSE.
Oh hell, I did not know this, are you serious? I don’t know how I didn’t hear about all this. Where did you find this info at? Blows my mind, you would never know by looking and hearing him now.
I love this group. Best concert I ever saw! Their signature song is "Bad Company" is one of their greatest hits. I saw them in 1976. They came back on the stage 3 times!
Rock Steady: My Favorite Song By Bad Company. Harkens Back To The Soulful, Blues Rock Feel Of Free. Paul Is The Most Soulful Blues Rock Vocalist Of All Time!
Another great one from Bad Company. Just read today that Paul Rodgers, the lead singer doesn't want to be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame because "rock & roll should not be in a museum". But Paul belongs there! Try out The Firm song (Paul and Jimmy Page among others in the group) doing "Satisfaction Guaranteed", the video set in a bar in the steamy Delta. Fire indeed! A real unified band indeed. Nice reaction. Thanks.
Amber and J, please tally another HUGE vote for *Silver, Blue & Gold* which others from the RSR Family have suggested. Such a great tune!! I can't wait to see your reactions to it! Great reaction from you both to Bad Co.!! I love how raw they sounded!! Like this was recorded in Paul's basement or something! @RobSquadReactions
I bought Lynyrd Skynyrd tickets back in the 80’s, never knew that Bad Company was their opener, & as much as I love Skynyrd, I could have left satisfied, before Skynyrd started
All good suggestions but there is one nugget that I am not seeing in comments. It's off the 1979 Desolation Angels album, which also had Rock N Roll Fantasy on it .This got quite a bit of airlplay back then .Song is "Gone, Gone ,Gone. "
Definitely one of their very best. For a rare softer side of Bad Company, check-out "Seagull" from that same amazing 1974 self-titled debut album. For their funkier (and heavier) side, check-out the amazing title song from their too-overlooked 1976 album _Burnin' Sky_ plus "Live For The Music" from their 1975 album _Run With The Pack._ And, for their early-80s side, check-out the VERY overlooked "Electric Land" from their Paul Rodgers swansong 1982 album _Rough Diamonds._
Great reaction, guys. I absolutely love Bad Company. They were a huge hit on US college campuses when they emerged on the music scene in 1973. After several years of progressive rock dominating the airwaves (Yes, ELP), Bad Co fit in perfectly with their pared-down, less-produced, blues-influenced sound. Try 'Deal With the Preacher' (from the Straight Shooter lp) if you want a great song with a phenomenal riff. 🙂

I was fortunate to have met Mr. Peter Grant (the manager of Led Zeppelin) many years ago, and contrary to popular belief, he was a true gentleman. He had many great stories about Led Zeppelin (he was paid as an equal member of the band, where the 5 of them split ownership 20% each). He also talked about signing Bad Company to Swan Song Records (Led Zeppelin's record label). After unprecedented success on Atlantic Records, Led Zeppelin started their own record company (Swan Song Records). Led Zeppelin were practicing for an upcoming North American tour in a room within a warehouse in England that rented practice space to many bands. Peter left the room while Zeppelin were practicing to get a cup of coffee up the hallway. While walking up the hallway to get his coffee, he passed an open doorway of another band in a room practicing, but their door was ajar. He stood there listening to the song, because the music coming from within the room was amazing. He waited until the song was finished, then walked into the room and was surprised to see that it was Paul Rogers singing with a band. Peter knew Paul from his days as the lead singer of the band Free. Peter said hello and asked Paul what this new band was called. Paul replied they were called "Bad Company". Peter asked what the name of the song was that he was listening to in the hallway outside the door. Paul replied the song was called "Can't Get Enough". Peter asked if the band was signed to a contract. When Paul said no, Peter immediately offered them a recording contract on Led Zeppelin's new record label "Swan Song Records". Bad Company then became the first band (and the 2nd musical act overall...the 1st being Maggie Bell) signed to Swan Song Records. It wasn't until the record was recorded and pressed that Peter found out that Paul wasn't being completely honest about the recording contract. It turned out that Paul was indeed signed to a personal recording contract. Peter had to work out a deal with the owner of the contract to release Paul, and the owner finally agreed with the stipulation that he would receive 2% of all of Bad Companies future royalties. Once that deal was completed, the first Bad Company album was released. Peter had many great stories, not only of Led Zeppelin, but Bad Company, The Yardbirds, Chuck Berry and many other artists that he had worked with. May he Rest in Peace. Peace
Paul Rodgers waa will a band called Free before Bad Company. You need to check out the Free song- Fire and water. He does some amazing thing with vocals. Also you should know that Paul sang with queen for a while after Freddy passed away. Check out - The show must go on. Live with Paul Rodgers
My advice to you. Sit down with no kids and watch a Bad Company concert . There are a number of them here on RUclips. Hearing Paul Rodgers sing these songs live is a must. IMO … Paul is the best male rock singer of all time. Look further and you will find he even toured as lead singer for super group Queen. The man sings his ass off. Seeing him live shows he can really rip.
One of my favorite Elvis songs and movies is one of his earliest!! The movie and the song are both titled "Loving You." I always have to search to find it. Maybe that's why I like it so much.
I have seen Bad Company several times. They are such great people! One show I was 9 months pregnant and had to go around the back to catch a shuttle back to the parking lot. They saw me and waited with me keeping me company while I waited.
Before Bad Company , guitarist Mick Ralphs was in the band Mott the Hoople. They had a hit with a song written by David Bowie called “All the Young Dudes”. That’s a classic rock must-listen.
Rock Steady became my favorite Bad Company song when I saw it performed live in 1976. Amazing. Here are my other Bad Company recommendations that you may not have done Can't Get Enough, Movin' On, Honey Child, Live For The Music, Simple Man, Wildfire Woman, Evil Wind. Electric Land, Good Lovin' Gone Bad and Deal with the Preacher - all bangers. For some slower or less heavy songs check out Silver, Blue and Gold or Crazy Circles.
Silver Blue and Gold is just a beautiful song. ❤ I agree with the rest of the RobSquad fam. If you want an awesome Elvis song. Listen to TROUBLE. AND LISTEN TO IT WHILE WATCHING ELVIS IN KING CREOLE. FROM 1958...ITS ELVIS AT HIS RAWEST HIS PERFORMANCE HIS WILL HAVE YOU AWESTRUCK..
Hi Jay and Amber Just an FYI: The singer, Paul Rodgers, and the drummer, Simon Kirke, were also members of the band Free. You've reacted to Free's "Mr. Big" and "All Right Now." Both Free and Bad Company are amongst my favorite bands.
You guys described this band perfectly. Every instrument and voice is interesting to listen to and brings so much feel to the song. I love the guitar solo... slow, full of feel, like he selected every note from his heart and drew them out of the instrument.
Saw them way back when they opened for Foghat in NY central Park on their 1st tour. Encore was with Jimmy Page whose Swan Song label signed them. You've done a few Free related songs because of Paul Rodgers, how about some Mott the Hoople songs because of Mick Ralphs, guitarist? All the Way From Memphis or All the Young Dudes(song created for Mott by David Bowie) are a good start. Also must alert you to Motts other alumni the great Ian Hunter who created many of their hits and decades of fine songs solo and with his Rant Band. Try Central Park and West solo, I Wish I Was Your Mother with Mott or Shrunken Heads with the Rant Band. These are some bands/songs you've got to get to.
I know every song of bad company and free , were paul rodgers was the singer . My fav band forever, my favorite bad co songs is deal with the preacher and honey child
Any band that had Paul Rodgers fronting them had the best rock vocals of their time. Also this track has always had an echo of Wishing Well by Free, Paul’s earlier band. ✌️
The only group I went to a concert, other than BeatleMania. The music is top notch. So many great songs. I see you have other songs from them. All the best. Cheers
Burning Sky & Bad Company are two other really great songs by Bad Company (yes, they had an album & a song called "Bad Company") Paul Rodgers was in Free prior to Bad Company & Wishing Well is a really great song. You reacted to Alright Now by Free. Paul Rodgers is probably my favorite rock singer. He is always bluesy & funky
Saw them on their first U.S. tour opening up for the Edgar Winter Group. Rodgers actually asked the audience about halfway through their set, “Are We That Bad?” I was shocked cause they were incredible. Wonder if they ever returned to Spokane Wa.
He was the front man for Queen after he and Brian May played at the same event and decided to give it a try. His voice wasn't suited for all their music buy they toured together for a few years before parting ways. Brian and Roger were introduced to Adam Lambert on the finale of American Idol in 2009 and they decided that's who they wanted to be the front man and they are currently touring the US for Brian May said is probably the last time. Paul Rogers had a funky blues voice and Bad Company has been one of my favorite bands since high school. Yes we did dance to Feel Like Making Love and I Want to Kiss You All Over (Exile) and Let's Go All the Way (The Raspberries), at our school dances. Lol... wonder what the faculty were thinking!
Look up their Brian Howe era of the mid 80s-mid 90s. Such great songs from that time. “If You Needed Somebody”, “How About That”, and “No Smoke Without a Fire”.
Paul Rodgers and some other pretty big names formed a “Super Group” in 1984 called “The Firm”, It featured Paul Rodgers on vocals, guitarist Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), drummer Chris Slade (Uriah Heap), and bass player Tony Franklin. Their first album came out in 1985 and is still one of my favorite albums of all time. They had a couple of singles off it. “Radioactive” and “Satisfaction Guaranteed” should both be listened to…if you’re interested in “bangers”.
Yeah, Paul Rogers. You get power, Rogers, it's gonna be good. There's the song off desolation angels with rock and roll fantasy. Let's go sir i'm go get a maid and take her on a cruise ? Oh, yeah, that's. Database some good stuff
If so do don't hide a whiskier If someday don't hide a whiskey or a whip. Or A whiskey drunken woman. I guess I don't need to play that song but I got it for my. I had it out ahead ahead ahead ahead😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
I chose a as I'm still recovering from a whiskey. Drink and woman, Hey, that's not really that funny. But, yeah, horse keep drunk and warm. And that's the drinking water, but not for real nausea
A brother Bob? That's right, brother Bob seeker brother Bob. Hey, does the song called trap one man from a live bullet album? You get a comb by with our toe. Hey, guys, ride in to a beautiful loser. But that's the way it goes when you're doing it live all riuh hurrah traveling
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but in addition to Bad Co. & Free Paul Rodgers did an excellent job “filling in” for Freddie while performing with Queen. It’s worth a search! // Also, BadCo. was my first ever concert, age 17, 1975 @ MSG IN NYC. I was hooked!
Yes he was. I know some of the "purists" didn't like that incarnation of Bad Company, but I thought they were pretty good. "Holy Water" (among others) is one bad a** tune...
One of my bands did a great Bad Co. medley to open their set. Can't Get Enough, Movin On and Good Lovin Gone Bad. They killed it every night. All great songs to react to.
Jay and Amber, if you want something Elvis to react to and you haven’t seen it yet, then react to Elvis And The Black Community-That Echo Will Never Die. You’ll be shocked and amazed to find out what Elvis had to endure and the person he was. It’s a mini-doc about 18mins but well worth the watch 🇨🇦
Loving the Elvis tshirt!! For your next Elvis reactions, you had said you want more live, you have to do Trying To Get To You, One Night With You, and the Gospel Medley, all from that 1968 "Comeback Special", which it not what it was really called, it just came to be known as that.
Paul Rodgers has been around since the sixties….I saw him in 2019 with Bad Company before Covid-19 changed the World…..he has fronted all these great groups starting with Free, Bad Company, The Firm with Jimmy Page…also sang lead for Led Zeppelin and Queen….for those misguided fans that think Steve Perry is the best…..he hasn’t played with any group for years and Paul Rodgers is still Rocking today and still having a good ole time doing it…..
Love BAD COMPANY!!!! GREAT Classic rock band...good choice for this one ...if you guys didn't do it yet please react to BAD COMPANY "Bad Company"....great song.Jay & Amber you guys rule
Back in the day my crew listen to Lynyrd skynyrd, bad company, kiss and the Charlie Daniels band. Bad company always gave me cold chills! Seems like nothing's changed. Love y'all show. I love the way she keeps her eyes closed when she's rocking out. I do the same thing sometimes.
One of their top 10 hits was Shooting Star. It’s about a guy who made the big time at last as a rock & roll star, but also the tragedy of fame. Check it out.
Some of the family mentioned that Paul Rodgers was the lead singer with Free and also mentioned some of the songs to react to but didn't list one of my favs Guardians of the Universe from the album Frre at Last.

My first concert ever Burning Sky album Often ach Germany
This was the jam back in the day!! It was everywhere
Paul Rodgers had perfect pitch and did most recordings in one take. Absolute beast for a front man.
Look up their Brian Howe era of the mid 80s-mid 90s. Such great songs from that time. “If You Needed Somebody”, “How About That”, and “No Smoke Without a Fire”.
Right on! 😁
There's a group called Nazareth that I do a song. I hadn't what the song called whiskey
Definitely try Satisfaction Guaranteed when Paul Rodgers was with the band The Firm
You guys rolled your hands at the same time to the way he sang! You guys belong together!!!!
Some songs you just always love. This is one for me. ❤❤❤
Alright my babies.... Paul Rodgers is an outstanding vocalist. And I do appreciate Brian Howe/Bad Company ‼️💯🔥🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
Brian Howe is also an excellent vocalist!
These guys played macho rock to the hilt.
They were simply cool and made badass music.
Paul Roger's one of the best pure rock voices in my opinion, and Bad Company is one of my favorite bands of all time!
When I was 11 years old,my crush's older brother loved Bad Company! He played their albums constantly, and I know, and love every song!
Pure, solid rock.
the song Bad Company is iconic and so good...
Love them one my top five bands .Seen them twice great concert
One of their top 10 hits was Shooting Star. It’s about a guy who made the big time at last as a rock & roll star, but also the tragedy of fame. Check it out.
Next Bad Co song to hit 'Bad Company ' of course.
Love to hear some Bonnie Raitt for Female Friday. "Love Me Like A Man" would be good.
Some of the family mentioned that Paul Rodgers was the lead singer with Free and also mentioned some of the songs to react to but didn't list one of my favs Guardians of the Universe from the album Frre at Last.
Okay time for their biggest hit. They're self-titled song bad company by the band bad company. What a song
"Ready For Love" is an old song guitarist Mick Ralphs did with his previous band Mott The Hoople on their breakthrough album "All The Young Dudes"
Love Bad Company!!
As mentioned below, there is a Bad Company song called: "Bad Company". One of the best rock singers ever, imo.
This song, and "Live For The Music" sum up the ethos of Bad Co.
Stay Bad!!
Cool band great singing awesome music
You guys make my day! I think you'll really like their song Youngblood...
Bad Company singing Bad Company. Excellent! 👌
Your next Bad Company reaction should be their signature song “ Bad Company”. Rockin’!
Love this song!! Have you checked out Mountain- Mississippi Queen? Great riff, cowbell and raw vocals, you’d like it.
There's a cowbell, and alternating woodblock, subtle but adds big to the groove
An all time rocker!!
Top 5 band for me. Love me some Bad Company
