Here's an interesting tidbit about the man you just heard singing, Paul Rodgers. Before Bad Company he was with a band called Free, and they did a song called All Right Now, perhaps you've heard it. After Bad Company, he formed one of the first "supergroups" called The Firm, composed of various musicians from other well-established bands. And mixed in there over the years he also had a couple of solo albums. I had one of those, and when I looked at the back cover, I was surprised and delighted to read this:
All Songs Written By Paul Rodgers
All Songs Sung By Paul Rodgers
All Instruments Played By Paul Rodgers
...making it truly a "solo album."
    The man is seriously talented.

Paul Rodgers and Bad Company are excellent, but so far, no Badfinger? Add them to your list. They were a fantastic group that were signed to the Beatles' Apple records. Try "No Matter What" or "Day After Day' or the incredible original version of "Without You". A wonderful group yet the most tragic in rock history.

Bad Company had many rock hits. Besides the 2 you've listened to, there's "Bad Company", "Moving On", "Ready for Love" as a starter. But my favorite is "Shooting Star" that tells a story of a young rock idol who shot up to fame, then succumbed to substance abuse. When it was released in 1975, many at that time saw it as a commentary on what happened to Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, & Jimi Hendrix. And the song has a killer guitar solo. Bad Company was actually a UK supergroup, made of of lead singer Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke from Free, guitarist Mick Ralphs from Mott The Hoople and bassist Boz Burrell from King Crimson. They recorded for Led Zeppelin's record company Swan Song and were managed by Zeppelin's manager Peter Grant. They recoorded their fair share of bangers about, well, banging. But they also did slower thoughtful songs like Shooting Star and Silver Blue And Gold.

I've always been addicted to music. Been sooo healing throughout my 53 years of experiencing life. And now I'm further locked into my addiction of music by now being addicted to this channel. Sharing so many vibes harmonizing and vibrating on the same frequency; it's other worldly. Thank you for being so raw, authentic and passionate

This song has definitely been played on the juke in bars a lot, and to this very day in some bars. A couple song suggestions (same band):
    *Burnin' Sky
    *Ready for Love
(Both bangers with really cool vocals)
*Wild Fire Woman (just a feel good rock and roll song, the kind that makes you wanna move and sing along)
*Bad Company. (people are gonna bug you till you play it. It's a great song, I just like the above ones better. Probably just because I've heard it a few too many times over the decades. I mean a LOT. But you haven't, so...)

Always a popular number at Cleo's. May I suggest Nazareth's "This Flight Tonight" - it's a Joni Mitchell song that they really made their own. So much so that Joni used to introduce it in her own set as 'Here's a Nazareth number'. As with most stuff, best to watch a live version.

In 1974, I heard the title of the album, "Bad Company." Like I usefully did, when I heard a song played on WNEW-FM, Radio, New York City I loved, I immediately bought the album. I had every album Bad Company made. What's really weird, I didn't get to see them in concert until 2009. The concert was at Joans Beach, in Long Island, NY. The Doobie Brothers opened for them. Both bands were awesome.

Bad Company's lead singer is Paul Rogers. He also sang for Free (All Right Now) and for The Firm (with Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page). My favorite Bad Company songs are "Silver, Blue, and Gold" and "Moving On." They both remind me of good times being a teenager. I saw Bad Company right after Rogers left to form The Firm...they opened for Deep Purple and were booed off the stage. I saw Rogers sing with Queen. Great show.

Saw Queen + Paul Rogers which was great as they also played 4 Bad Company songs. Sat behind Paul Rogers at a Vancouver Canucks playoff game back in 2011. Told him I was a big fan and he said "Thanks man!". He became a Canadian citizen and lives in the Vancouver area.

“Burning Sky” by Bad Company is a good one. If you want to hear something from them with a different tempo, on the softer side so to speak, “Seagull” is that song. “Silver, Blue, and Gold” and “Don’t Let Me Down,” are 👍

You need to react to Shooting Star by Bad Company. It's a great storytelling song about a kid that buys a guitar, learns to play, becomes a famous rock star, dies of drug overdose, and is ultimately immortalized by his rock star life. This used to be my favorite song as a kid.
    Other great BC songs include:
Bad Company (a song and the band name)
    Rock & Roll Fantasy

The drummer Simon Kirke (born1949) was in Paul Rodgers’s previous band Free , which also made excellent music including their two hits, Alright Now and Wishing Well. Free as also notable for the virtuoso playing of Paul Kossoff who died aged only 25.

Back in the day when this song was new, long before the internet, i remember waiting anxiously for this song to come on the radio, just to hear that first guitar power chord to blast with that long sustaining chord, awesome. Then i got the record for Christmas, and I still have it, and one of the first few songs i learned on drums, when i started way back in 1975

One day this greatgrandma's going to have one of the grandchildren go up in the attic and explore the 45's and LP's up there. I know James Gang, Deep Purple, Rod Stewart (every picture tells a story), BTO, Fleetwood Mac etc... are in that 2 foot high pile of albums but doubtful they are in good condition. Love catching the tunes of my youth with you guys. My dad first got me the Fantasia sound track when I was about 6 years old, then 78's and 45's (vinyl came in colors too) of popular songs to play on my record player. I can't remember which live concert he took me to was first, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Roger Miller, The (original) Supremes or Johnny Cash but my appreciation for music has never wavered.
