And “movin on” is a really good one too Ready for Love was written by this guitar player when he was in the band Mott the Hoople. And yes, that is the correct spelling and band name. Ha ha ha.
Yeah, they’re talking about how “Ready For Love” was one of their favorite tunes by Bad Co.. I was so glad to have seen them get to that one a few months back as it was the one I always requested in the comments. “Movin On” would also be a great one for them to check out, but I’m really holding out for “Gone Gone Gone”, as I’ve always felt it was an often overlooked gem of a tune. Really wish I could’ve caught em live, as that would likely be one of the best shows ever, with a solid rocking set list to boot. Growing up in the 70’s, I remember Bad Co as one of those bands that everyone would get into when one of their songs would come on, unlike many other bands, even great ones, who had a certain “type” of fan, Bad Co always had that across-the-board appeal, an instant cred of undeniable greatness.

Thank you to anyone who requested this song, one of my favorite Bad Company songs. Paul Rodgers had such a great voice. I was glad Jay mentioned Skynyrd's Simple Man, because there's another Simple Man out there that's a great one to. It's by Graham Nash. I swear, it's like all three of these songs, all totally different, but all done with so much feeling & pulls at your heart. Just great songs. So I guess this is a request for Graham Nash - Simple Man. Great reaction guys, keep up the good tunes & good vibes.
Wow!!! I am so happy you did this one. I never thought I'd see it. This is one of Paul Rodger's best vocal performances and that's saying a lot. I am so glad you liked it and "got it"! I can't believe they forgot the title of 'Feel Like Making Love'! LOL

oh man....this brings back great memories. Paul Rodgers is such a great singer. I was lucky to see Bad Co in the late 70s. One of the BEST concerts I have ever been to (and I've been to a lot!). Great musicians. Thanks for reacting to this and love what you do!
I saw these guys in concert about 12 years ago! Great night! We saw Lover Boy, Pat Benatar & Ted Nugent with them that night. What a great night of music that was!! Much love guys!! ❣️✌️
Paul Rodgers and his wife, Cynthia Kereluk, a former Miss Canada, live in Canada & raise horses. I saw them in 1977. Still the best concert I ever went to!!! They had 3 houn curs! I absolutely love these guys. "Seagull" is another great melodic tune by them. You still haven't done their namesake and album cover song: "Bad Company"! "Running with the Pack" is also a real banger. John Cougar Mellencamp said Paul Rogers had the best rock voice of all time.
I saw them about the same time and they must have been hungover, because it was the worst concert I’ve ever seen. Still love their music, but caught them on an off day.
I have been a huge fan since the band released their first album. I’ve been singing In local bands for 52 years now. Paul is just an amazing vocalist. We do Ready For Love and Free’s Alright Now. I love singing them. And I still love listening to Paul sing anything!

Every friend we had loved them so we decided not to scalp them and a dozen of us went. By the end of the show we were all standing on the seats dancing and Mick looks at us in amazement goes over to Paul, elbows him to look at us and Paul comes back with Mick right in front of us and they're playing the final song looking at us going nuts and loving it lol. Love me some Bad Company! All of these comments about their Title song Bad Company. Has that awesome track earworming in my brain! Much love and smiles robsquad family ❤😊
Paul Rodgers (the vocals) Simon Kirk (the Drummer ) reformed the band Bad Company from the Band Free in the 60’s. They are worth looking into with songs like ‘Alright Now’ My Brother Jake’ and ‘Wishing Well’!
This feels like someone has invaded a secret inside me. Not too many even know this track. If you listen close you can hear riffs from other Bad Company songs. It spoke to and of my famished soul.
Hi Amber, I think you’re thinking of their hit ‘Feel like makin love’ a classic. ‘Can’t get enough of your love’ (1st hit) and ‘’Good lovin gone bad’ are also worth reacting to. I hadn’t hear this track before - it’s great. Thanx for introducing it to me. Wish I’d seen them live. A British band hit big in the USA.
Wow! Hadn't heard this one for a while. Great choice, great vibe. A few more Bad Co. tracks you should listen to are Bad Company, Silver Blue & Gold and Burnin' Sky. And there are so many others. Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke the drummer moved from Free to Bad Co. Fire and Water would be a great song to react to from Free. As others have mentioned Paul Rodgers was in The Firm after that and even did a short stint with Queen. He has a solo career that includes a 1993 album called Muddy Water Blues. He wrote the title track and does both an acoustic version and electric version. Please give it a listen. The rest of the album is covers of classic blues tunes.
Great choice, this band always was rock solid! For one of their best performances, try Ready For Love at Hard Rock Live, from that show on their reunion tour about 2006 or so. The jam at the end is amazing and shows the power and glory that rock can be. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
I had the privilege of seeing them perform an arena concert in 1989. It was a benefit for Big Brothers Big Sisters in Fresno, California. Ticket price $5.00. 👍❤️❤️❤️
Paul Rodgers had THE sexiest voice back in the day. And he still wears the leather pants and sings his a$$ off. Please add Bad Company's song Shining Star to your list. You'll love the story telling and, of course, the vocals and instrumentality. Peace to both of you! Thanks, as always, for your positivity and great energy. We need more of you in the world! ❣
I've always enjoyed listening to Paul Rogers bluesy voice. Paul Rogers toured with Queen for a couple of years a number of years after Freddie died. Brian and Roger talk about it in their documentary The Show Must Go On. He sounded great on a number of their songs and they loved playing a mixture of both Queen and Paul Rogers music. It's a good documentary on Netflix. Queen is still touring.
My High School days. Bad Co was my band. I played this album to death. The drummer Simon Kirk was a big influence on me then and a lot of song on this album I just loved to play. Thank for happy memories 🥁
Funny you say this... at first I thought I might have already commented when I read yours because it was describing me and MY experience! Simon Kirk made me want to play the drums at age 14, and now at 59 and I'm still playing on the same (though added to) Gretch set my wonderful and understanding parents helped me buy all those years ago. Live for the music!
Hey Greg , that’s funny. I still have my OLD Pearl drums set up in my garage also to the delight of everyone. Ha ! It’s also been added onto in all sorts of silly ways , they made it through the 80s with my caveman wannabe head banger drumming Now as a dude in my 60’s i seek out a very respected professional recording drummer who lives close by and talked him into working with me. Yicks Humbling is an understatement. This gentleman broke me down to the very beginning and has brought it all back. Lol. Thanks for reaching out , it’s a small world and Simon was a big part of it Keep playing bud.
@@billc.5861 Ha! Love it my friend, and I enjoy how music brings people together. I think the Rob Squad pair are so qenuine! I hear you on being humbled by some drummers... some of these kids on RUclips blow me away with their talent. But hey, it's not about anything but having fun, Eh? I'm currently laid up from a car accident but hope to be out of my boot soon and getting back to it. In the mean time I've been working on my hand techniques while sitting in bed, again so much good info on RUclips. Main influences were Simon Kirk, Bonham (of course) and Les Binks (one of many Judas Priest drummers). I occasionally channel my inner Keith Moon as best I can and with enough coffee! Played in a few bands as a teen/20's, but went off to college and never got serious. My closest claim to fame is that I played with Mike Starr (original bass player for Alice in Chains) when we were 15-16yrs old in a garage band. Nice kid, got addicted unfortunately and never recovered. Best wishes to you! Have fun and never stop playing!
Hey that’s awesome, I’m about the same with my playing in my teens and 20s. Besides Mr Kirk and Bonzo I followed Aynsley Dunbar (Journey) Prairie Prince (The Tubes). Stewart Copeland (Police). Tommy Aldridge (Pat Travers Bd & others). Of course like so many I struggled with Neal from Rush but tried I was raised Buddy Rich and that’s where I’m trying to kinda maybe sorta bring my drumming back to with the help of my instructor. His name is Jeff Campatelli , he played & toured with Joe Satriani for years and others Check out the RUclips videos performance of Satch Boogie or Circles ( Satriani Live) very nice person and a monster talent. Glad to hear you’re working on your hand technique, syncopation exercise, paradiddles . That stuff is so important and very helpful. If I may give some advice learn to read drum scores if you don’t. Have a great week ahead , keep healing the leg Cheers bud.
What's funny is that Bad Company is an English band that sounds like a Southern band. Also, one of Lynyrd Skynyrd's biggest influences was the band Free. They were the singer's (Paul Rodgers) previous band before forming Bad Company.
Paul named the band after a film of the same name with a theme of outlaws and the old USA wild west. Hence the reoccurring western themes in the songs. Simon Kirk is one of my all time favorite drummers (Free & Bad Company with Paul)
Nobody has suggested "Call on me", last song on Straight Shooter... give it a listen... hypnotic piano and awesome guitar, especially the the last 1/3rd.
Back last year i sent you among other things, a DVD, Paul Rodgers Live in Glascow. The man, The Voice like no other. He waa and is the lead singer for Bad Company. He is still out there performing and if anything he gotten better.
This is a classic. As of today I've been enjoying great music for 65 years, as of today. Love these buys. Maybe do Bad Company, the song, it's cool. Thanks for being so understanding. Go Bengals. Thanks.
"Burnin' Sky" and "Run With The Pack" ...."Gone, Gone, Gone"' "Live For The Music" "Electric Land" are where you need to head. 🔥🔥👍 ["Sweet Li'l Sister" is another quality "deep cut" album track, which, unfairly, gets overlooked, in their catalogue. ...I think "Painted face" also qualifies as that.👍🤘🤘]
Great track! Want a little more western. Give a listen to, a wish by probably everyone on here, "Bad Company" the title song, AND another underrated song from the same album, "Seagull" You won't be disappointed.... Enjoy!

Paul Rodgers (the vocals) Simon Kirk (the Drummer ) reformed the band Bad Company from the Band Free in the 60’s. They are worth looking into with songs like ‘Alright Now’ My Brother Jake’ and ‘Wishing Well’!
One of my all-time favorite Bands. Paul Rodgers voice is unmistakable !!!!
Paul Rogers is primo vocalist. Top 10 of all time rock vocals.
Gotta do Bad Co's song called Bad Company. It's their best song.
Paul Rogers is INCREdIBLE
Has a Southern Rock grit but Bad Company was out of the UK. Paul Rodgers was the lead vocalist.
Were do u get the southern rock from my arse
I haven't heard this for at least 20 years. I love it. I used to listen to Bad Company a lot in my teens and 20s.
Please react to Argent, hold your head up
My High School days.
There was a film called bad company in the 70s Jeff bridges was in about young lads dodging out the civil war and go robbing
Nobody has suggested "Call on me", last song on Straight Shooter... give it a listen... hypnotic piano and awesome guitar, especially the the last 1/3rd.
This album came out in 1976 when Paul was 23. Hes in his 70s now and still sounds like he's in his 20s.
Paul Rogers still tours…you might be lucky enough to catch him ❤
My favorite bad company song is “silver, blue & gold” my dad had the record & in my teens I would listen & sing this one over & over ! Try it !
A line from one of my favorite movies, "It ain't simple bein' cool, but it's cool bein' simple".
Go Bengals. Thanks.
"Burnin' Sky"
and
"Run With The Pack"
...."Gone, Gone, Gone"'
"Live For The Music"
"Electric Land"
are where you need to head.
🔥🔥👍
["Sweet Li'l Sister" is another quality "deep cut" album track, which, unfairly, gets overlooked, in their catalogue.
...I think "Painted face" also qualifies as that.👍🤘🤘]
...and, yeah: Not to forget:
Paul Rodgers was Freddie Mercury's favorite vocalist.
-That, definitely, "says something." 🤘🤘
Rock and Roll Fantasy is one of Bad Company's all-time greats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great track! Want a little more western. Give a listen to, a wish by probably everyone on here, "Bad Company" the title song, AND another underrated song from the same album, "Seagull" You won't be disappointed.... Enjoy!
Great reaction! I love Bad Company but I never heard this song! You described it so well Amber...swampy!
I see you still haven't checked out "Bad Company" by Bad Company. That should be your next one.
Amber & Jordan, U guys have to react to the song called Bad Company by Bad Company the rock group.
First time hearing this, I am blown away. But that's Bad Company for ya!
