Los Angeles fans need to remember that the Yankees outscored the Pirates in the 1960 World Series. but the Pirates won the Series. This was simply the first of the four wins they will need to win the NLCS.
The Yankees didn't just outscore the Pirates, they did so by more than a 2:1 ratio. I was reminded of the 1982 World Series, when the Brewers won G1 10-0, then the Cards came back and won in 7 games. Also 1996, when the Braves so utterly dominated the Yankees in the first two games that people in Atlanta legitomately asked if they were the best team since the 1927 Yankees. Whereupon the 1996 Yankees came back and won four straight, taking the Series in 6. Hope lives for my Mets.
Ohtani wasnt credited with his RBI double in the 4th inning, turning it into RBI single even though he got to 2nd base.(yahoo sports stats) can someone explain the details below? If the fielder commits an error can it turn hitters stats from 3b run into 2b or 2b into single in the sheets? Im curious about rule star details. Thx
You got it exactly right, errors and fielder decisions can affect the scoring. In this case the official scorekeeper decided that Ohtani only went to 2nd because Marte bobbled the ball. It's a good question, this ruling is actually a little bit unusual imo, because Edman would almost certainly not have scored from 1st without the error. It's both generous and stingy of the scorekeeper (who is just one guy making his own judgment calls) to let Ohtani have the RBI but not the double.

How's that working out right now? LGM!
@@jimwerther knew at one point it wasn't gonna hold up much longer, not surprised the Mets scored so much today
From a Mets fan here, that's what good pitching does. Good win Dodgers. Mets flunked big time. Got my L and called it the night. Kodai Senga should not start one more game if we even make it to his next start.

fluke
Let's not forget Big Jack with 7 consecutive shutout innings. I don't care who you are that's very impressive especially during postseason baseball.
Let's go Dodgers
ohtani had 2 rbis but he was only credited with 1. he had a single that scored a guy from 2nd. and a double that scored a guy from 1st. can someone please explain this
I don't agree with that. If you take Ohtani's speed into account, it's an easy double by any standards. The recorder should take his foot speed into account.
Can’t imagine when we see shohei on the mound in a dodgers uniform is insane
One at a time but so far so good
🎯
I really love everybody in the Dodgers' bullpen, Kopech, Treinen, Philips, now Hudson and Casparius, this is a deep pen.
Way to make a game one statement fella's Let's Go Dodgers!!! Good Job Flaherty solid outing. Freddy Freeman is a true solider!!
Senga really blew it. He ain’t ready.
rlly hope they keep playing him 🤣🤣🤣
He just came off from two injuries. He only played once in 2024 in the regular season and once in the post season before this game. He had a great 2023 season though. It was risky to play him this game since it he had a short rest and coming off two injuries. It was a bad move. He was clearly off this game.
@@alexlilano1931 That's on Mendoza
Easy second guess. Senga looked fine in Philly during the NLDS.
I spent so much time not thinking about the Jays this season, I forgot we gifted KK a shot at a ring this year!

Your comment is rather unclear.
Can we talk about how Mookie Betts is the greatest baseball name ever?
Wow, i excepted the dodgers to win this game but 9-0 win was surprising
@@raphael9540
They were for one game. Best of seven.
This is by far an all star cast & these Dodgers are fired up. I don't see no team from this point standing in their way for The World Series.❤😊❤
This is beautiful baseball right here💙
Ohtani wasnt credited with his RBI double in the 4th inning, turning it into RBI single even though he got to 2nd base.(yahoo sports stats) can someone explain the details below?
@@scrub_jayExcellent explanation... TY. 👌
It would be crazy if both New York teams make the World Series
"Job's Not Done!" - Mamba
this game was crazy, i saw someone rob someones car keys.
This game was amazing, But some dude was whining to security about losing his car keys.
1 down 3 to go.
"Jobs not done.. There's nothing to celebrate, jobs not done is it?"- Kobe Bryant
One more 0 run inning we have a record boys!
This game was crazy, I even convinced a guy that the car keys he found were mine!
Shout out to Jack Flaherty. What a game!
Rooting for the Mets and Ohtani. Since I'm not a big baseball person, this is a Win no matter what.
We usually rock Manaea which is why i loved him pitching in our division all these years😂
He'a been a different pitcher since he lowered his arm angle in the middle of the season. Check out his numbers since then.
@@jimwerther Will see. He's done many mechanical adjustments throughout the years his ERA is still above 7 for a reason

Game 2 Monday 4:08pm on FOX
Let’s go Dodgers! 3 more wins to the WS! One game at a time!
It's only one game. Got 7 more wins to go. Mets have been on fire. Let's hope our pitching holds uo. Yes, 33 inning with no runs. We all know how quick things can change. One pitch at a time, one inning at a time and one game at a time. Let's go Dodgers!!!
^ This, can't say it enough. LFG 💙 Dodgers - jobs not done, stay humble.
Funny that coming into Dodgers-Padres, Dodgers were seen as the team with poorer pitching.
What a great, great catch! 08:35
Your videos are always so helpful, thank you!
This game was crazy, I sold someone a set of keys after I found them.
Way to go Kevin Keirmaier. From Toronto. ❤
So much for a Subway World Series. Go Dodgers!⚾️⚾️
One game does not a series make!!
What do you mean? Did the Dodgers already advance to the World Series? Calm down buddy. LOL
