Setting up the airless sprayer - When you get the sprayer you will need to get set up for the first time use. It comes with all the tools and attachments you will need to get started. Here are the basics of setting up the sprayer:
    1. Remove all pieces from the box.
    2. Attach the hose to the front pf the sprayer using the included wrench.
    3. Connect the spray gun with the included wrench set, works like a compression fitting.
    4. Read the instructions and familiarize yourself with the sprayer and parts.
Next you will need to flush out the storage fluid by following the steps to prime the sprayer.
    1. Get a clean bucket of water and an empty bucket for discharge.
    2. Place the intake hose into the clean water and the discharge hose into the empty bucket.
    3. Turn the control knob to the prime/clean setting.
    4. Press the Push Start Valve button twice.
    5. Turn the machine on.
    6. Let it run until water is flowing out of the discharge hose for 30 seconds. This will ensure all of the storage fluid is flushed.
Once the storage fluid has been flushed you can prime the machine. the good new is it's the same process you just learned except now you're filling the sprayer with paint.
    Priming the sprayer:
    1. Get a bucket of paint and an empty bucket for discharge.
    2. Place the intake hose into the paint.
    3. Place the discharge hose into the empty bucket.
    4. Turn the control knob to the prime/clean setting.
    4. Press the Push Start Valve button twice.
    5. Turn the machine on.
    6. Let it run until paint is flowing out of the discharge hose.
    7. Connect the discharge hose to the intake hose and place them both into the paint bucket.
Now you're ready prep for spraying.
I like to ensure paint is flowing through the spray hose and out of the gun before attaching the spray tip.
    1. Turn the sprayer to the spray position.
    2. Turn the control knob to the lowest spray setting.
    3. Turn the sprayer on.
    4. Hold the spray gun over an empty bucket and pull the spray trigger.
    5. Allow it to run until there is a steady stream of paint flowing out of the sprayer.
    6. release the trigger and turn off the sprayer.
    7. Attach the spray tip and tighten it with a wrench.
Now it's time to start your project!
Here are some tips when getting started on your first project:
    1. Test the spray pattern. I use old cardboard.
    2. If you're not getting enough paint or too much paint adjust the power.
    3. Hold the sprayer about 8-12 inches from your material you are painting.
    4. Don't tilt or twist the gun to avoid uneven spray patterns.
Finally, take your time and practice a bit to get the hang of how it sprays. If you're getting uneven spray or what's called fingers you may need to adjust the spray power.
I found the sprayer easy to use and recommend reading all of the instruction before getting started. If you can, start with a test project to learn how to old the sprayer and get familiar with how it works and sprays. It's very easy and you can troubleshoot most problems using the instructions.

Did you have any issue getting the nozzle extender on without leaking? Not sure if I’m missing something I have it on tight. I’m only using water for this part in cleaning the storage oil out. But water is leaking from the extender.

I used a pair of pliers to tighten the extender on. I didn’t have any leaking issues with the extender after that.

I'm in the market to buy a sprayer this week. I live in Key Largo, FL and I have three buildings to paint. I don't paint that often - but when I need to - I have a lot to paint. I'm also painting a roof with Sta-Kool 15-Year Turbo-Dri Elastomeric... I assume I can't spray that because it is too thick - but unsure...

So I’ve never personally used this sprayer for an application like that. You might be able to use it but you would need to check the directions from the maker of Sta-Kool. They state on the product that you can use a sprayer but it would be a good idea to contact their customer support to see what they recommend.

there is a problem where the ball bearing on the suction tube gets stuck so you have to free up that bearing then I got it work again I guess this is common on paint sprayers

Can the sprayer use any paint??

    • @MyProjectWeekend
      @MyProjectWeekend  10 месяцев назад

Any oil or water based paint. Here’s what the manufacturer says: “It is designed to spray most non-flammable coatings that can be cleaned with water or 100% mineral spirits.” Does that help?
