    Nice Typhoon! I got one and love it.

    Pick up a candy thermometer to confirm the water temp so you don't damage the sensor.
    Great info! Can't wait to see what more you find

    Blink twice if they’re holding you hostage lol . But you’re right in Texas in traffic 150 160° but my snow per. When In actual boost or power I’m operating 80 to 90deg. Pointless to run more res that high. Thank you brother ABT .

    Hey man, I’m looking into getting into tuning after watching your tuning series and noticed the mpvi3 is coming out this month, is it better for me wait on that or will a mpvi2/mpvi2+ be better since I’m going to be learning in it and the info with those devices are already out compared to the mpvi3

    I actually tested my gm sensor in water at different temps and it was way off.

    Came here to ask you a question and got learned on iat sensors 😆. But question is important. Since you installed long tubes on your c7z would you sell me the primary cat deletes pipes you had on before? I have a race in a month and really need a set. They're gone everywhere. None for sale and looking everywhere. I can't really use long tubes cause under hood heat is an issue for me during auto cross and road course events. Really just can't be running cats when car is running that hot around a road course for 20 minutes straight. So if you'll sell please let me know.

    Can you use an oven instead of boiling water

    Why didn't you use the thermocouple as the reference for true temperature? You need a reliable instrument to tell you which sensor is most accurate. The data from your sensors is opposite what Doug saw in his test log, so one of you has something wired in or characterized incorrectly. I'd be checking the voltage supply and value of the pullup resistor for each circuit. And if you can manage a temperature step response, that'll be the best indicator of response time.

      It wasn’t accurate as it wasn’t in the air path. If anything I wouldn’t trust the default curve on the gm IAT in the fuel tech, may need to manually input that data.

    Why not a simple hair dryer or heat gun that can blow cool and warm air from the same device? Controlled, repeatable, the right media for the application of the sensor etc.

    Do you have any tuning videos coming out for the gen6 GM engines? Specifically the LGX engine. Love your channel . Thanks

      Don’t think they are supported because of the global b platform

    • @kennethpemberton5386
      @kennethpemberton5386 Год назад

      This would be for a 2018 Camaro v6. From what I can tell the global platform wasn’t introduced until 2020 . The hp tuners that I have says that it is supported from 2016-2019. Anyways just though I would ask.

    Sorry I had to unsubscribe as far as membership it would hit it to wrong time man it would overcharge my account big time anywho question been reading up a lot more on the tuning when you have an ECU unlocked I take it there's a program they can actually give you a key it'll go through it takes 10 seconds it eventually figures out the key for the ECU okay when you do the HP tuning you no longer have access to that ECU key I keep hearing this iff or ifsa tuning platform any thoughts on that question is there a place I can send my ECU other than buying a pre tuned ECU to do my own tuning is there a way to actually open it up and bypass some type of security in there

      @@GoatRopeGarage well I'm still working on my 06 Colorado 2.8 motor this body control module I sent it off a year ago they was supposed to hand build me a body control module something about the processor went out they put a new processor in it something on the board Fryed the new processor. Big bow tie guy I got a 05 Chevy Malibu that's got a stage 3 Chevy performance flash on it anywho back to the 06 Colorado. I contacted the local dealership can't even get them to flash it it's getting ridiculous I'm going to get a bench Force set up you got to have a pass lock. Two connector you got to have it's like $180 connector for the body control module as well to reflash the unit I got to get another laptop I'm still a ways away what I was asking is with my 05 Malibu I had a friend that worked at the dealership he's no longer around but they offered a upgrade from the dealership to where they just cranked up the parameters it was a factory thing anywho back to the 06 Colorado I was wanting to buy an HP tuner so I can tune that motor I'm not looking for big games but I would like to have a flash to put on that PCM technically it's all in one on that truck but I wanted to know if I have the ECU unlocked once I get the pass lock for it once it goes in to HP tuning do I lose that..?

      @@GoatRopeGarage they were saying something that it might go into security mode with the passlock 2 system I know how to bypass that system you cut the yellow wire put a resistor in it I've had a lot of problems out of Chevys lately with the pass lock to system sometimes you got to own out the keys on some of them anybody that works on Corvettes no like the 95s have the chip on the key you got to have air duster with you to make sure you don't get that wet or it will not start anywho my 06 Colorado they drag their feet on this they charge me 200 bucks that was the initial fee I said well let me send you 500 and whatever's left you can send it back they wouldn't take the money because it's non-refundable I felt that they were honest a year and two months has passed I'm getting upset my body control module couldn't be that hard I understand they're building it from scratch all I want to do is flash my body control module and be able to tune it they said the ECU has a pass lock
      There's a program where they plug up the ECU it goes through there and eventually figures it out it can take up to 3 to 5 days that types in codes to figures it out eventually what I'm asking is they said when you type that passlock code in once you get it you lose it with HP tuning correct me if I'm wrong I'm here to learn but if I get a HP tuner and I have an ECU or ECM or PCM unlocked and I put that pass key in there in the HP tuner do I lose it that is my question it was an older article so I'm asking what the updated MV 2 is that a deal. This thing is still a mess it's got ABS control module transmission codes of course the body control module it's going in to reduce power mode it's losing signal from the gas pedal to the throttle body I bypass body control modules but it takes a resistor to go to the gas pedal to make it work but every light on it will be lit up. It's a pretty decent nice truck I was thinking about putting a 5'7 down in it out of 95 or 98 four-wheel drive pickup truck to give it a little more heart easy motor to put in and get it running gets away from the body control module cuz I can bypass all the wires it just controls tail lights headlights all that
