- Using Hp Tuners to log the differences between tunes with a bad intake air tempurature sensor vs good with a modified tune. I spent couple days tweaking the tune and power enrichment to see some postive gains.

vfl rockytop Feels totally different, runs a lot better... One thing I noticed after making the video is the Timing actually goes to -14. I think it was actually running worse in the video than dyno day but not too far off.
Thanks , it was helpful. I have a 2003 6.0 and I think it needs a tune. The first run was the same feeling in my engine, the lack of power in the middle.

Thats great gains already,, I was looking at buying a HP tuners kit a while back,what is the model number of your tuner and thanks again your videos are great and has shed some light on how this tuner works, I'm still not clear on the credits ? when I was looking at the system through summit racing says some thing about buying credits for tuning not sure on that,,
jimcaf57 This is the "pro" module... it comes with 8 credits. Each vehicle ecu is 2 credits, or you can unlock entire year (2004 express) for 6 credits, or versions for 30 credits (like all gen3 LS trucks etc)
Are you using HP Tuners Standard or PRO? I though I saw one of your videos with a wideband but can't seem to find it again. What brand Wideband are you using? Thanks Keep up the good work.
Mike Few HPtuners Pro, wide band is an AEM 30-4110
How are you getting the wideband to register on HP tuners? Is it through the serial data? Or are you hooked up through the HP tuners Pro link?
i'm sure you have figured it out by now, look at your spark in that "dead" spot, appears to be pulling a bunch of spark
I noticed on that 3rd log, your injector duty cycle was 100%. Plans to remedy? Run it like that. Bigger injectors, or decap the ones you have?

How are you adding fuel in certain rpm ranges rather than just adding fuel through power enrichment? Thanks
VE table is MAP vs. RPM
@@BlaserBuilds ok and just higher number is more fuel? I did that across the board and the truck threw a check engine light for maf performance that sound right?
@@matt9162010 VE table should be tuned in Open loop, with MAF and PE disabled. Shouldn't get a code just for increasing numbers.

I use a ibm t420 laptop works great.
Why is the timing sooo low? 8 degrees at the limiter its down like 10-20 degrees in upper rpm?
Not positive, this was a long time ago, but I believe this was a completely stock tune aside from the PE enable, so could have been pulling timing for coolant temp and IAT corrections.

What happened when in LS swap don't run MAF, so the IAT is in the MAF? How it works?

The wires are still there, so the IAT is still used but gets moved to the intake, or different location. The tune then gets changed to a "speed density" which uses the map sensor only.
