    When installing a LSA, there are 3 sensors on the LSA brick. Manifold absolute pressure, Intake air and Ambient Air sensors. Terry shows how to hook up these sensors, How to separate the intake air sensor from the mass air to create a intake air sensor connector for the LSA brick and which sensor will not be used. Note.. This video had to be re-posted because the original would not play, so in the spirit of re-posting, new footage was added to make the install even easier.. Check it out...

    Excellent videos! Congrats on making the world's first tolerable do-it-yourself videos!
    Your videos have inspired me to do what I've always threatened to do which is install a LSA on my 2013 2500HD! It came with an L96. Be dumb not to, right??
    All I can say is- YOU'D BETTER BE RIGHT ABOUT ALL THIS STUFF, TERRY!! ;)

    I think you mixed the MAP and Ambient Air Sensor in the second half part of the video. The MAP is the one sitting closest to the firewall, like you said the first time, right? :) Otherwise, love your videos man, keep it up!

      i see what you mean, it looks like i was motioning to the ambient air, when i was just touching the brick.. thanks for the heads up brotha Frode.. and thanks for the compliment..

    Hi Terry I'm putting a lsa on my 6.0 and I balt my harness from psi for the lsa swap with the computer but it dont have a plug for a ait sensor on the harness do I still need to put one in like u did and what mass air flow sensor do I use I'm using a stock 5.3 one and it will idle but wont rev up I can unplug mass air wont idle but revs up with unplugged

      the AIT depending on the set up, is sometime in the connector with the MASS sensor connector.. check that out, im going with a speed density setup on my TBSS which means i wont have to use a MASS,, keep me in the loop and let me know how it goes with your build..

    Hey terry great vid as always man quick question i have an ls2 style MAF which is also a 5pin just not canister style by any chance would you know if the wiring situation might be the same to hook up that iat pigtail?

      if it 5 pin, more than likely it serves as a maf/iat .. call up PSI they will help you out with the schematics.. i would guess yes because they are changeable

    Hi this is eric again I did this plug and mass air from a 6.0 and my car will only idle if I touch gas it will die but I can feather the gas and it will try to rev up the car is done other than that what fuil pressure should I have on my gauge

    If I'm not running a mass airflow sensor and I'm doing LSA on my 5.3 build can I just run the pigtail for the iat to the
    pin on a PCM

    Does the lsa require oil and require a change like the superchargers on the earlier 3800 engines?

    • @Coverman66
      @Coverman66  6 лет назад

      better safe than sorry, esp if the charger is off the engine..
