You will need to wrap the intake pipe in exhaust wrap as it will get heat soaked from being run so close to the radiator it's a trick we do in Australia to help lower intake air temps
Oh nice ur from Aussie that’s one of only places I wanted to visit and go on vacation too. Aussie people I’ve talked to in past have been really chill and nice and love the accent
Appreciate your video as I'm new to tuning; I bought the sensor you linked but ordered a different connector (Ballenger Motorsports - Compatible with GM Delphi/Packard - 2-way un-shrouded GT 150 3.5mm Centerline Sealed Female Kit for IAT) from Amazon for a cleaner install with no butt connectors; of course if someone doesn't have pin crimp tool they might prefer the butts.
Good info. As you know I'm planning to delete my evap when I do my intake. May go ahead and do the iat mod too. Gotta drill a couple holes anyway what's 1 more lol

I soldered and heatshrinked mine cause I’m not a fan of butt connectors either
Great info, not sure if you mentioned the part number but can you put a link to it or part number? Thanks
yea the parts links are down in the description already
My bad, thanks you much LS Brother !
no problem anytime boss
5/8" hole 12mm x 2mm O-ring or similar
Thanks for the size info I'm sure someone may want to know that
What size bit did you use to make the hole in the intake ?
9/16 or 5/8 i believe is what i said in the video not sure off top my head i would just start with the smaller one

yea its a more accurate IAT temp when u take it straight from the manifold too
Is it after market ecu or tuned? Dose it work on factory set up?
Its stock ECU but you do have to have it tuned to run without a MAF
Good to know vidio made it seen like could be done on factory setup
You actually can do it without a tune and it will run fine but u will end up with a check engine light till u get a tune and have the code disabled
Lol dont make fun its my sons page but what did you do with the extra wires you didnt use??
Haha its all good and I just trimmed them back wrapped them and stuck then hid back inside the loom
@FrogsGarage And as far as needing it tuned it will run but just with a check engine light correct??
Yea it will still run just has to set the code for the Maf sensor then it will run off just the MAP only
