Geez Ford should be thanking you for your dedication, so much mucking around Mate. I've lost count how many Fords I've bought new and never a problem. Even my Mustang purchase in 2021 was a dream when supply was so short. Great production btw 😀
I'm still waiting for them to send me the dedication medal. 🤣 One day I'll order a car that just works out. But it's great that you haven't had the hassles I have. I wouldn't wish anyone to go through that pain.
Got my Dark Horse in Brisbane in Sept. Rec'd a letter from the dealer in Dec advising of the recall but no time frame - as you said no idea on fix time. The letter from Ford says if the screen goes dark just pull over, turn the car off and re-start it. Sounds like every IT department in the world - "try turning if off and back on again"
I'm glad you've got your's out in the wild. I'm still waiting for mine. 😪 I'd be quite happy to turn it off and back on again but they still won't sell it to me.
@@rossspec6585 I got quite agitated during that wait, Ford are very bad at communicating with dealers and customers. Ford actually sent me an email confirming that my car was ordered.....................a month after the car was built! I also had a 2017 S550, which I ordered in 2016 and waited a year for it to arrive.
Got mine in NZ about two months ago. The recall notification appeared on the FordPass app about 3 weeks ago, but I have not been contacted by the dealer directly yet. I have had the main screen go black once while driving, but it restarted by itself about 15 seconds later. It has nearly 4000 km on it now.
Good to note they've sent you a notification in FordPass. I'm pretty sure my mate hasn't received a notification on his but I'm going to double check now.
My 2024 mustang screen went black 1 time in 5 months since I owned it. I shut it off. Got out. Locked it. Walked way about 10 meters. Got back in it turned it on and it was fine.
That's the sad thing about it, they are holding cars back from owners who really want them for something that like a lot of tech these days just needs to be turned off and on again. Glad you've got your's though, enjoy.
Hey man, we got one living right next door, not more than twenty or thirty metres from me right now, he’s had it about eight weeks and is still running it in, (he and I are both old school!) He had a lowered 2016 S550 in that lovely metallic blue before (which my wife much preferred, it was a very nice looking Mustang with its low stance) Me? I’m a ‘69 man, had one for about ten years or so, no longer with us😢
Oh man that's sad to hear hope no one was hurt. I'm also glad your neighbour had his Dark Horse. They should be out in the wild not locked up in a storage shed.
Mine got delivered in Rockingham 3 months ago, what is the issue with yours ?... Would watch the video but got a flight to catch. Will watch after my swing.
Being delivered 3 months ago your's might be okay. It's only for cars built between May 10 and Aug 20 (and the plant was closed in July). There is a chance that the screen can go black.
It's a sad state of affairs. Unfortunately, it's Ford themselves that have put a hold on them. Even as far as storing them somewhere the dealer can't access them. So even though it is here and local, I still haven’t even been able to see it.
This format of talking on a track and racing in-between is so bloody good, mate
Thanks mate! Glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you for the update 😮
No worries, I do wish it was better news though.

@@rossspec6585 agreed, small price to pay to finally have it. Best of luck getting yours into the stable.
Thanks, fingers crossed not too long now.
As a new S650 owner, all I can say is hang in there. I also waited 2+ years for the car. I only have the GT, but they are well worth the wait.
Yeah man, I'm in it for the long haul. Glad to hear you have your's and I'm happy they're out in the wild.

I hear you, sounds like a carbon copy of my experiences so far.

I went through the vin list that was released by ford of which vehicles are defective, my DH Mustang wasn't listed. 😎
That's great! I'm glad you didn't get caught up in the mess.
My 2024 Mustang GT has the recall, but I have not been contacted and I am driving it every day
That's great, I'm glad you got it out in the wild before they locked it down.

In the same boat mate please post any updates or information you receive, hope they get it sorted soon
Absolutely! The best info comes from the community, I'll keep you advised on anything I hear.

Unreal this country is a joke
I hear ya, it's a real shame for everyone.
it’s not luck. they don’t just give you
the cars you want. they can but not you 😂. you are just one of the not important customers lol .
🤣 Ouch! Thanks mate. 🤣
Sounds like all your cars have been bullshited to by the dealers.

Its just a mustang😂
Different strokes for different folks. 🤣
Should have called it a gay horse and it would have been fine
Lol, different strokes for different folks.
