@@ScrambledBrain5 I just don't understand how someone can be so fat and so skinny at the same time.
Actually I do: Alcohol. Liquor is pure calories with no nutrition or protein. So it feeds fat while starving muscles.
That's how he can be 20 pounds overweight (6'0 (his claim) @ 220lbs (his claim)) or more realistically a lot more (he's probably an inch or two shorter and ten or twenty more than he says he is) yet still have arms you'd expect on a very frail 6'0 140 person.

@@angry_zergling I think Dave has a muscular degenerative disorder. He didn't loose weight healthily. Kat's as wide as she is tall, so there is no chance in hell she cooks as often as he claims. He sure as hell doesn't subsist on chicken and turkey as he's claimed, the fact he has to drink cherry juice every day to avoid a gout flare up is proof of that.

So you can clean out your entire bank account, shuffle up to the cashier's cage, and get loaned a few grand at insane rates within minutes.
And Phil is the sort of person who would fall for that very predatory trap. He's the sort of person who came to Vegas one time for a vacation and never went home - twenty years later is homeless behind Las Vegas Blvd still not knowing WTF happened.

I remember Justin Wong saying about DSP that he is the type of guy that would say hi and be polite in front of you but would talk shit about you behind your back.
DSP is trying to mask his shit behavior as "building hype" but he is either too arrogant or too dumb to realize how people really perceived him.

If being a spiteful, jealous, hate filled trash talker was the norm... if thats how everyone was.
    1. Why was he hated for it?
    2. Show me another FGC member's messages that reflect the same behavior.
Show me another player viciously insulting and degrading their peers like Phil did.
How many other players were chased down and nearly beaten up for their game face?
It doesn't matter, he has changed. He doesn't call people names, suggest they off themselves or eat his feces anymore. He doesn't get upset over losing like he used to. He has patience for people now. He doesn't expect everyone to conform to his whims or act entitled to people's time and resources anymore. He isn't pompous and arrogant anymore. He doesnt have delusions about his abilities or concern himself with the perception of strangers anymore. He doesn't try to insert himself in everyone elses drama. He isn't jealous and spiteful of others' success.
He is a totally different person now. He does everything correct.

This entire pre-cope is so telling. He craves the external validation of others telling him how great he is.
Also as someone who has been to tournaments for DDR in some of the same venues as Phil and seen fighting tournaments you absolutely have time to go out and get actual good food. Most people went as a group at the end of the day to hang out and eat.
And yet again it’s Phil really wanting everything to be wrestling by cutting promos. Nobody did that. Yeah there was trash talk but nobody was sitting there cutting promos on other players to build hype. They just played the game. He is still waiting for his big push I get.

Also 15:49 when talking about his past did he say that the swatting lead to hate groups that made TIHYDP? wasnt it the other way around last time phil, cant even remember his own past anymore

Look man. I like Vegas. It’s tons of fun. It has a fascinating history.
That said we’re talking about The Strip here. It’s not like he missed out on seeing Taj Mahal or the Roman Coliseum or something. It’s a bunch of casinos and pretty lights. Chillax.
Ironically the only time I set foot in Vegas was when I was too young to drink or gamble. We stayed at the Luxor. I spent the weekend in the arcade. I found weed in our room someone had cleverly hidden in a houseplant. This was in the 90s. My stepdad and I smoked it but it was so dry it almost disintegrated and the high did not feel normal. Made Vegas more fun though. I bought Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas at the airport and read it on the plane home. The Strip was probably the least interesting part of that trip.
The documentary gives Phillip a chance to speak on something he actually has perspective on. He lived through these things. I’m skeptical though, that he will respond with anything other than his typical self-elevating excuses. I don’t foresee him accepting responsibility for anything other than “dumb” decisions he made under peer pressure or whatever.
We can already see his warped self-serving logic doing its work here. He admits to being toxic, admits to treating people in ways society frowns upon, but tells us it was all a big act (not his own behavior) and this was part of a promotional improv skit to raise the profile of the Street Fighter scene (his motives were pure).
In one fell swoop he absolves himself of wrongdoing, robs victims of his mistreatment of their legitimacy, and justifies what he didn’t really do by claiming to serve some greater good or altruistic purpose. It’s so predictable at this point. He is constitutionally unable to be candid or show contrition over his mistakes and flaws as an alleged human being.

Okay so DSP said he was playing a character to build hype for matches. So I'm sure there are some matches people remember due to all the hype surrounding it. The one thing about "being a heel" is everyone has to be in on it. I do think some of his stuff was done to "Be a heel" but he's too stupid to know how to be a heel and was just himself.

But he couldn’t have told Joon that context? The context is good enough for his audience but not good enough to go in the actual documentary when he was asked about these things?
