Many years ago I came across DSP's channel. I didn't know about the detractors,ect. So I decided to give him a chance...didn't last half a stream. He annoyed the hell out of me with his snorting, burping, ect. Dsp is Dsp's biggest detractor.
The first time I seen him on Down The Rabbit Hole, I had to see myself, is he really like that? Rhetorical question. He is like that, but worse- he’s extremely boring, and gross, as you put.
The snorting, at first, was unbearable- I couldn’t get pass it. It took watching reeestreams w/ the proper chat… 10 years later, here I am. Still.

I'll never stop comparing Phil to an abusive boyfriend. Constantly gaslighting and conditioning his fans into thinking that their time would be wasted with any other streamer because they don't value their fans like he does, excusing every single mistake he makes by saying "I've changed now" despite that not being the case at all, only apologises when he knows he'll get something out of it like a viewer coming back, and just generally making himself out to be full of wisdom and intelligence that no one else has. No matter how abusive he is to his dents, they will always return and keep donating to their lord and saviour due to conditioning.

I stumbled on dsp after watching an ltg video, and alot of comments mentioned him being the black dsp. So I went and watched his videos, and it just so happened to be around the wardogleader thing, and I instantly became a detractor.

I think Phil's had his perspective entirely transformed by his various addictions. He needs immediate gratification. He's angry if someone "wastes his time" when they beat him in a fighting game. He's angry if he begs and someone in his audience doesn't pony up. He's angry if there isn't someone there to hold his hand through out a game. It's really a nightmare of a personality to be saddled with.

The thing I love most about the rejection box segments is how Phil get further and further from the point of the original suggestion as he gets worked up until he’s just inserting his own malicious interpretations into it. I'm glad you pointed out how wrong that Mike Clum take was. It drives me nuts that he thinks his detractors are the worst. If Mike Clum said that, IF, it was strategic. I was struggling at one point to put food in my mouth, taking on so much overtime I spent more time a week at my job than at home. I was not proud at the time, but I look back, I provided for my family, I kept a roof over my head, I knew how hard I had to work. To hear this... manchild is the only way to say it because anything stronger and RUclips will delete my comment, but to hear him say he struggled on a slow day? No, you go out, you do any job, any task, take on any shift. It doesn't matter because when you come back and see your family are safe, have eaten well, and rest in their own bed because of how much you busted yourself down? That makes it worthwhile. He does NOT get to throw himself in the same bracket as people like myself that have worked til we are numb. If you care, truly care, you get a job to supplement your income. To dare sneer at us that do actual jobs? Makes my blood boil.

That’s a complete disconnect from reality. He insists that his stuff is good based on what, the fact he’s putting something out there? There’s a reason he has such a small community. Because the majority of the people out there have looked at his stuff and found better alternatives. He’s not winning anyone over for his in depth game play because he barely grasps how to play them well. He’s not winning anyone over for his attitude because he is so bitter, spiteful, and angry. How is it that if anyone goes to another streamer, they don’t tune in to hear them rant for hours about how all their peers are shills and fake? People just want to tune in to a stream to have a good time. Phil just doesn’t provide that one bit.
This. I've never watched raw Phil (I struggle when a detractor lets him speak uninterrupted for over a minute) but I'm someone who finds 99% of game streams boring to sit through, even if it's someone engaging and intersting like the Super Best Friends or Maximilian Dood. Therefore no Phil, your content is not appealing to me even if we ignore your deluded, dog shit takes, misuse of terms and twisting of the truth.
I first heard about DSP back in 2021 through the Down the Rabbit Hole video then watched raw unedited clips for a couple months with no commentary of him where I was able to see for myself how much of a trash person he was. Detractors didn’t make me not like Phil. Phil made me not like Phil
