I think there’s a misconception in detractor spheres. Phil isn’t in the verge of bankruptcy anymore. His last one cleared out his major debts expect Uncle Sam.
Even with lowering income, he’s doing great most likely. It’s why the begging has changed so much compared to pre bankruptcy. Will he get back to that point? For sure. But it’s years away.

I hope nobody shows up to his re-rerun of FF6. It's time the dents take a stand and put their wallets away.
Even when Phil sees an obstacle in his path and acknowledges that it is in his way he will still manage to swerve directly into it. He does this in every aspect of his life. It's like he wants to purposely fail on a subconscious level.
What’s weird is that he’ll try to use it as some kind of flex. “I knew this was gonna happen, I was telling you guys this was gonna happen, I saw this coming a long way off, and now it’s happening, just like I said it would.”
The ironic thing is that Phil used to do the "flash in the pan" style content. He'd buy a game on release day, play it constantly until he finished it, and then upload it to RUclips. That was his most successful formula. Now he still chases the Day One views but he never concentrates on any singular game, so it takes aaaaages to finish anything. By the time he does, the interest is somewhere else.
Or he waits months to a year to play a game hyped through the roof (sometimes for good reason)...

Phil's legs are vibrating like a jackhammer the entire time. I wonder if he realizes that we can clearly see it. Every aspect of the guy is bizarre.
Phil believes that his audience is made up of his customers, when that’s not the case. A customer *has* to pay for the product, when stream audiences don’t. It’s like a free bar at a party; just because you _can_ tip the bartender, that doesn’t mean you should. Phil is a begging bartender, blaming the saké that is JRPGs for his failings, when it’s just his style of keeping people entertained; much like a good bartender can entertain their customers with good dialogue, a bad bartender will have practically nothing interesting to talk about, and that’s pretty much Phil. It’s not the drinks that’ll sink a bad bar, it’s the poor decisions of the staff, owner included.
He also treats it like a salaried or hourly job - "guyz i can't just be doing this for free... i mean its just not good right??"
The only thing he does semi-correctly is rocking up 99% of the time - then promptly putting in the absolute minimum effort.
Hey I'm only saying this with certainty because I just spent 5+ years unwinding the messiest trainwreck of a life - which involved learning about DARVO and all that fun shit from being the 'victim' of narcissistic abuse. I hate the word / claim of being a victim but that's a pretty good description for a person who has tried to maintain relationship with family 'warts and all' and the final result was watching my own mother sit and fake cry in front of police after straight attacking me (physically - nearly 60 yo women though so i just kinda wasn't fussed really) then calling police and trying to paint me as a DV Assault / Perpetrator!
I'm dead certain my mother has NPD too, and unfortunately was so so confused and unsure that even after I wasn't certain.. there are little signals - and for DSP it helps when its all digitally recorded (thats why I find him really fascinating, he'll gaslight his audience when you can just go back a week and see he's lying)
Eventually you click on, and if your smart - don't let em know cause they will use anything against you. I remember sharing a problem about how I was concerned about potentially being addicted to hard drugs.. no response - ignored.. i didn't like that but didn't really hate either I just figured it is my own issue.. then I found out that secret had been used as fuel to paint me a villain.
So many clear examples; like a situation in which she'd lie about a super traumatic event she pushed me into - that really negatively affected me and most people in family.. and would tell me "stop making shit up" while I stand within arms reach of physical evidence RE what she says I made up.
Anyway, the scariest part about these people is that they genuinely believe the shit they spew - and have Z-E-R-O empathy nor care to learn or understand. At best, they can pretend.. which just makes them better liars and the cycle continues.
My case will likely get dismissed completely - i've been arrested 3 times, charged with a crime recently (will get sorted no conviction I'm relatively sure)
and every single situation was her using police as a wall to avoid being held accountable for things like stealing from me or fucking with me.

As a FF7 expert i can tell you that the card game is 100% optional. Even the story with the card game tournament you can just drop out and continue the story.
I honestly figured that was the case. Seems like a strange thing to MAKE players do because it's very clearly not going to be for everyone

I completed FF7 Rebirth. The card game, Queen's Blood, is 100% optional for the story. The part where it's "required" can be opted out of if you don't want to play it, but if you do play it, you get a funny bit. But knowing Phil, he'd want to play through it and see everything the game has to offer, audience interest be damned.
Dsp killed FF7 the second he started arguing with his audience over that card game.
It wasn’t the fault of the game that people told him to move on from it, it was that he kept losing so it extended the time he was spending on it.

I am at Chapter 10 or so. Already gotten passed the Costa Sol stuff and i have not been forced at all to play the card game but did anyways. You even have a choice to not engage in the Tournament on the boat. It gives you a choice to skip it
