Phil completely ignores the 10% retention rate because it brings the truth of his channel to the fore. A content creator that loses 90% of their audience from Part 1 in a series to Part 2 is a failure.
Except that DSP already becomes a failure by having a 31 second average watch time. The 90% loss of audience only underlines that fact.
And this saga showed how DSP is on lvl 1 and will continue level 1, he says he needs a 'viral' hit to be like other streamers then he clickbaits but doesn't know how to handle and lost 99% traction in the same day Phil, Fill never changes
Why change when you did "nothing wrong and everything right" everytime?
He click baited the title and it gave him the boost in views he wanted and then he tries to act like it was just some strange coincidence. His best strategy would have been to not say anything about it, but no way Phil can resist a chance to talk about how great he is. Of course, he couldn’t mention the 10 to 1 dislikes to likes ratio.
Most people can not even see the dislikes anymore (I know I can't due to my browser does not have an add on to put them back.)

FYI: That laptop is a replacement laptop that he got, I think, 2 years ago or so. It's an Acer with Windows 10 that he never shuts off and runs the streams on. His old laptop, I believe, had water poured on it and he had to replacement. His old infamous tower is still 8.1 and he refuses to upgrade since "upgrading will screw it up", even though he always says it's screwed up anyways. And the mini PC runs Windows 11.
Imagine him actually hitting the algorithm for once, and then deciding "Yeah, I'll just do more of the talking, complaining, pre-stream and gaslighting." He has zero business or situational awareness. He could've capitalized and used the same kind of tactics again. But nah, more pre-stream and meltdowns.
I mean, this is The Guy who decided "What's this, one of my videos went viral? Time to drive an hour to stay in a hotel and play Pokémon Go!"

What I love about his channel stats is that he splits his video into multiple parts and counts the total number of views, when what it's ACTUALLY showing is the number of viewers he's retained.
1000 views on part 1 + 200 views on part 2 doesn't mean he has 1200 viewers, it means he bored 800 viewers.

His 200k subscriber count with sub 1000 views per video is one of the major factors behind what destroys his visibility in the algorithm. Having someone subscribe to your channel but never watch your video does more bad than good. If you get more views than subscribers, it launches your channel up in visibility.
His hubris will not allow him to cut off the rotting limb of 200k subscribers to save the health of his channel.

I watch a ton of detractor content for him, but never has his content ever been recommended to me. What’s recommended to me is just more detractors. So because it’s never recommended I always assume ‘Oh it’s because he’s a Twitch streamer.
I get him recommended from time to time and I just casually scroll by without clicking on it and thus pushing him further down in the alghoritm.

Something just hit me a few days later after watching this. You know how Phil loves to insult people who get games early? I just remembered that Phil has tried to get games early himself in the past. Back when "Dark Souls 3" was making it's way to be released, Phil tried to get the game early by buying the Japanese version so he could get access to it few weeks before international release. Japanese release date: March 24, 2016. International release date: April 12, 2016. He however messed up the process somehow, and according to a online source, he ended up paying few hundred dollars extra just to play one game early in hopes for bigger views.

Phil is the king of over exaggeration. It's either the bottom of the barrel or the top of the mountain. There are many RUclipsrs who are not at the apex of the platform, but are much more successful than he is who he never addresses. In an RPG you don't go from lvl 1 to lvl 100 but Phil seems to think that's all there is. Stop focusing on the mountain top and worry about getting off the ground first, or in Phil's case out from below the dirt.
