COVID automatically helped me to reset unknowingly. I am still in the process of declutterring in many areas and ways. My health first. Thanks Doc Mindy.

As someone who got divorced in her 40s, I can say it wasn't perimenopause that caused it. It was the realization that I had been in a destructive marriage and that I was not required to stay. I have met many women who have had the same experience.

I went through a horrible divorce in 30s. Still feel emotionally drained when I think about those days. In my 50s now and now going through the hormonal changes. Be kind to yourself sister. We are going to be healthy and kind to ourselves. Grateful for many things in my life now, most importantly the friends. 🤗

@@TheVktube I am almost in my 50s now and am healthy in all ways. I commented because I don't want people to blame women who divorce in their 40s and 50s on menopause. I am part of different groups and I have learned how manipulative people can use this against a woman that wants to get out of a destructive marriage. I also know women who stayed to protect their children and divorced as soon as the youngest child was 18.

@@elleneebarrett5683 Meditation actually helped me so much while going through these changes. While fasting, I play meditations to keep me strong through times when I feel weak. Much love to you!

If your marriage had issues before perimenopause, menopause just exacerbates it. But if the problems started in perimenopause...believe me, it's the menopause trying to destroy your life. I am in menopause, and I saved my marriage when I understood what was happening. He understands my mood is now different, and i don't have the resiliency i had before. Things are good again, but i need to do all the things, diet, lifestyle, hrt.
I have many friends who got divorced in menopause. Many regret it because they are lonely, and the economic impact wss not great. Their husbands meanwhile are fine and either remarried to younger women or dating and seemingly fine. I think some of my friends were trying to mete out punishment to the spouses and thay backfired.
If you want to stay married it can be done. If you don't, nothing wrong with that either. But if your spouse slowly is becoming the person you loathe most when he was the person you loved most before and the change started in your 40s...it's the menopause snake who has entered your garden of eden. Control the snake, reclaim your life.

Only in retrospect am I realizing of all the terrible havoc my hormones caused me to experience back in my mid 40ties and the subsequent madness that ensued. I recently turned the page on 50 and am closely paying attention to your advice…I do wish I discovered you ladies much sooner. That way I wouldn’t have thought I was going mad, or that I didn’t have self control or discipline when all my body wanted to do was splurge on carbs and sweets during certain periods.
I am learning to fast, to be more kinder and gentler to myself and forgiving when I don’t always get it right.
The information you are sharing is so powerful, valuable and empowering. Thank you! 💜

At 67, I wish I'd had this information when I was going through menopause. I've purchased the book for my daughters and nieces and encourage them to follow Dr. Mindy's message. My journey would have been so much more pleasant armed with this insight.

dealing with anxiety in middle age, your video resonated. The speaker's insights mirrored my struggles, creating a sense of understanding. Menopause's emotional toll is an overlooked aspect of health. Grateful for shedding light on the need for open conversations. It's time to break the silence.

My story was just like yours Dr Mindy as far as perimenopause. Dr Northrup and Dr Ann Louise were the ones that I was able to find books and podcasts on.
I felt amazing at 40 then 43 skipped periods then down from there up down. Last pd was 49 but after lots and lots of trial and error I feel better and fasting with you for the past year has been a game changer ! Love you both ❤

What an excellent conversation! This was a very inspiring conversation. Also, it makes me feel less alone as a perimenopausal woman in my 40's. All these health experiences through my mid-30's and onward were completely related to this. I feel it is almost like an open to understand and forgive myself. I wish I had been with Providers who understood this the way these ladies do. Keep the conversation going though, this is so valuable!

Need some of these doctors virtually that are supported by insurance. I live in an area where no primary care support longer fasts. Even intermittent fasting they say is okay but truly support. I've explained I eant to get metabolically healthy and get no guidance. I as told there was no benefit to running different tests. My fasting glucose was 115 and was told absolutely no concerns. I follow Dr. Mindy and have lost over 55 lbs and feel so much better but I want a doctor that supports and guides this lifestyle!

Lots of talk about “chemicals” and what we put on our bodies but I’m guessing you ladies may use hair dye, nail polish and makeup products. Any recommendations you would call “clean” (these terms aren’t regulated, hence the scare quotes)…? I don’t dye my hair and don’t plan to, but plenty of people prefer to.

Carnivire diet has worked miracles for many. I listen to Kerry on his HomesteadHow channel and some others. HomesteadHow has many doctors on plus many people who tell us of the changes and health improvements they have seen from eating real food and cutting out all the weird things in processed foods, etc.

I’ve heard that if you camp in tent and live in nature 15 days, the body can return the circadian rhythm again and sleep well. Your stomach acid may be low. You can try to eat couple of slices of ginger 15 minutes before having food.

Allopathic medicine is not the source of lifestyle advice. Those drug dealers are there when lifestyle and diet fall short. It's a shock to learn this at 50. I am from a family of doctors and my goal now is to use the doctors as little as possible going into the next 50 years of my life.
