Right after my update promising faster uploads, I got hit with a lot of stuff in my personal life. But it's mostly been resolved now so this should be the start of said promise!
I love weird games and hope to make many videos on them in the future, but with Konami being such a hot topic right now, why not take a look at some weirdness they created?

Konami also made an active time turn based wrestling rpg with third person platforming, aliens and survival horror elements set on Christmas in Washington and released on N64.
It's called Hybrid Heaven and it's honestly just as great as it is weird and damn it's weird as hell

I love Hybrid Heaven! I wish I was able to visit an alternate future where that game instead of being mostly unknown and unloved becomes the base of many other games to be inspired from.
A Gamer Aaron there were games that got inspiration from it, in a way. The combo system for one is kinda similar to the one used in Shadow Hearts 3, also a similar the wait and dodge to build up power mechanic has been used in a couple RPG's before it, like Parasite Eve and Panzer Dragoon Saga.
Tho I really do wish I someone would finally decide to make another wrestling alien active time turn based survival horror RPG like Hybrid Heaven. Brazilian Ninjas, Mitohondria Princess and bio-engineerd lazor Dragons are all nice but wrestling on christmas eve is also nice.

Seriously though you could have played as the medic in a world where he never became big boss and we could watch him sorta become his own legend instead of being forced to be someone else. Doesn’t that sound pretty cool. Like imagine a new diamond dogs run by the new Boss.

@@shardtheduraludon Well Sakurai directed it himself so I'm sure he threw in some canon explanations to certain things. But it could also be just for the anime, like, you know, Meta Knight's voice and everything lol.

***** Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearer. I think that one comes to mind because it isn't even weird in the ways you would expect it to be.
But in terms of Japanese WTFISEVEN games, Mischief Makers comes to mind. I don't think it's quite as weird as these games, but if you think about it, it's kinda weird. Especially towards the end of world 3. Mischief Makers is also a fantastic game.

Then we got Mario Party 9.
Screw Konami.
Mario Party 9 is excellent, I think, because it finally fixed the glacial pace the previous games had and the minigames are great, if somewhat lacking in numbers. Besides, there's 11 Mario Party games that still have the "classic" MP gameplay, so I'd say it's a much needed change of pace.
Arthur2light Konami didn't make Mario Party 9. It was developed by Nd Cube, though technically it's still hudson soft making mario party games as alot of the employees are staff that developed the previous hudson mario party games (+ Sonic Shuffle if you count that). I think you may need to double check your research. :P
Hudson developed both Bomberman and Bloody Roar.

I think the weird thing might be Krampus? I mean, Krampus is known for taking away children via a basket (like the intro) and has a pagan goat appearance (like the final boss).

Quick comment: The girl in a kimono was referencing a Japanese fairy tale about Kaguya, the princess of the moon. It has to do with a bamboo cutter finding a tiny girl in a stalk of bamboo, sort of like Thumbelina. This same legend is also referenced in Okami, by the way. Also, in Japan, rather than the "man in the moon" they see a rabbit, and there's a legend about how it got there.

The weirdest game I've probably played is Spongebob Creature from the Krusty Krab. Trust me, that game can be quite the mind fuck.

NZ Man123 I think what mindfucked me the most was the Alaskan Bull Worm, not just the level, but also at the ending. Tho it's a pretty good game and I like it!

I used to play Upa as a kid so it's always fun to watch videos on it.
I think I can explain the final boss of Upa: The appearance of Satan is sometimes described as having the body of a man while having the head of a goat...so maybe Upa is about Doomguy as an infant and how he's always been able to kick ass EVEN AS A BABY?

The first game you showed, Bio Miracle I’m Upa (the title in English) actually has more story than it seems. Here’s the real, actual story from Wikipedia (which is probably taken from the instruction manual or something, as there’s quotations in it suggesting such):
"Upa is the prince of a magical kingdom and the most recent in a line of brave fighters. One day, though, he broke an urn containing the spirit of Zai, an incredibly evil goatish demon who takes the life force of the kingdom's adults and kidnaps all the babies - except for Upa, who is given a magical rattle by a fairy who was trapped in the urn along with Zai. And so, in order to save his kingdom, Upa crawls into action..."

Everyone remembers Frogger! Frogger was made like 20 years before I was born and that game was my childhood! Or at least, part of it. I really don’t know why I gravitated to retro games whenever I could as a child, despite modern (for the time) games being technically superior, but I did. Now that I think about it, I played loads of old games, Paperboy, Classic Sonic, Classic Mario, Frogger, Donkey Kong, Pole Positions, loads of classics.
The penguins are actually Penta and Penko!
They appeared in some of Konami's games, Antarctica Adventure, Penguin Adventure, and an NES game called "Yume Penguin Monogatari"
You gotta play the PS1 version of jikkyo oshaberi parodius! Turn on "Accident" and turn off "roulette" in the options for the best experience.

Some funny stuff man, I'm a recent fan.. as of today. I myself love weird games, and especially hacked roms. I've done a few rom hacks myself in the past. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, the original Zelda on NES, Final Fantasy 6, and Golden Sun TLA.
Man the bananas in the background in the cake level at 08:53... clearly... very... definitely ambiguous.

Hey Antdude! You should check out Elebits by Konami. It has a VERY similar visual style to Dewy's Adventure and the boy in the game looks strikingly similar to the protagonist of Elebits, Kai. Dewy also makes a cameo in the second Elebits game as a playable character.
Elebits is also like my favourite game. Shame it got long forgotten.

Dewy's adventure is a underrated classic that konami made.
I think the main baddie in Upa is none other than Krampus. You know... the evil goat version of Santa that goes around abducting and punishing bad kids.

i could not comment on super star but the "copy" ability is useful its because in milky way wishes, you cant eat enemies and take thier power so u can use the copy ability to get an ability if u dont have a ability of your own or one that u havent got the one u want
Puddle, even if it was only published by Konami, is a liquid physics based platformer similar to Dewy's adventure but more so to Fluidity. I can barely find anything on the internet but the music is very weird and trippy but in a cool way. Also, it's much more adult as one point you get drank by a human and you venture inside their body. And it's very disturbing. It also has a very creepy atmosphere with some parts of the game not even having music. And the plot of the game isn't really a plot, but moreso a bunch of linear levels where the actions of you cause pretty bad stuff (as a liquid)
Oh and the ending is very weird, with the sequence being probably 2nd not trippy video game ending scene (first is FF8) which is "spoilers"
The liquid you are currently controlling powers up the nuclear power plant causing you to be sent back in time in a very bright sequence, with footage from the previous levels which circles around to the beginning of the game with the coffee cup. The whole game is the butterfly effect.
I played Dewy's adventure. Didn't knew Konami made it but *okay*. Well I guess I will try Dewy's adventure again.
I'm pretty sure that the thing that kidnaps the baby/the final boss in that baby game is Krampus. At least I think so.
You forgot that there is a special stage in that last game with an invincible enemy called the 16 Bit Block.
