Love your channel, Renee! It's like having the best next door neighbor! I love having almost instant homemade meals ready as you do. We don't have a freezer (we live in an apartment), so I can lots of ground beef, pork, beef, and chicken in pints. I pull out a jar, add sauce or seasoning, and we have dinner. Tacos, pork verde, chicken Alfredo, beef tips in gravy - all in minutes.

Hi Renea , more great ideas! I do my breakfast sausage a bit like your chicken. I don't make my own but to a one pound od breakfast sausage I add 1 egg, 1/2 cup rolled oats and a dab of milk to make nice patties. I fry them and freeze them in sandwich bags and then put them all in a freezer bag. Stretches the sausage a bit. Thumbs up on your freezer meals.

I’ve been using the bag holders for about a year now. I love them. I had gotten some for my daughter also and her dishwasher must run hotter than mine because they melted the part that slides up and down. I was surprised. Anyway, she can use the quart size for those and I had gotten some more so I shared some with her.

Hi, you remind me of my mom. ❤ I'm so sorry for your loss. (((Hugs))) to all.
My mom hauled around a big commercial size freezer..when we traveled all over the country..USAF kid. She always had a garden, and we canned everything.. she would buy a side of beef. Side of pig..mostly we lived in the country. Rent was cheaper..;) We would make jams, jellies. Married at 16 she could cooked everything homemade. I bet your kitchen smells so good..all the time. ❤

I then place each burger in sandwich bag into large vacuum seal bag flat. This way I am saving on my vacuum seal bag material. Then when I need one burger I can just take out one burger out of vacuum seal large bag as needed.

I harvest the bulblets that form on top of the onion and replant them and use some of them in cooking. In the fall I will harvest many of the bulbs and store them for use thru the winter.

Excellent menu for someone with poor or failing teeth. Aging father or mother.. I'm sick with bad cold. Makes me feel 'out of it' in a way. Re: bags for worms. I use the Mrs. Gerry's buckets with lids from work, but recently it's set in fridge direct to bins. ha But beats rewashing zip lock bags I bet! Your kitchen is like a workshop! I'll get out, and watch now. :)

I sure hope you get better soon. That Deli needs you. If I was your neighbor you would be having homemade chicken noodle soup to help you heal. Yum. My neighbor loved hers when she was sick...Remember I am from Michigan, we come running with chicken noodle soup and Vernors they are a cure all. Lol

@@LittleVillageHomestead thanks, that's meaningful. I try and get sympathy at work, but their sick to. It is a social responsibility to stay home especially with Covid-19, but who else is going to get Deli work done? Hire temp Deli scabs? Mom always said, "Men are babies when they are sick." I looked up Vernors, it's ginger ale from Detroit, MI. Thanks
for giving me the 'babying' i needed!

Nice mix for your chicken patties. Do have a question tho. I clicked the link for the reusable freezer bags. It says not dishwasher safe. Correct me I thought you said you washed them in the dishwasher. Because I am thinking of getting some to try. I like how sturdy they look.I use a lid from sour cream put piece of plastic wrap in it fold over a ball of hamb meat and push flat with my little iron skillet. perfect patties. then flash freeze. Can make 1/4.1/3 or half pound. what ever we want.

I have a recipe for African meatballs which uses grated raw potatoes. They are very good. Allspice is one of the spices used. They are similar to Swedish meatballs but a tad different. I love them. I cooked up some ground chicken for my animals and not one of them would eat it. I have 5. So I tossed it and the rest I had in the freezer. I don’t like ground chicken or turkey at all. Why? I don’t know because I love turkey and chicken.

I truly think that my moms chicken patty recipe came from some other country that she traveled to. I have never seen any recipe that has potatoes added to meat patties.

How do you keep your cast iron pans so nice?

Do you use an air fryer? Wondering how those chicken patties would come out in that.

I've gotta try those chicken patties! How do you prepare them; just fry them up or bread first and fry or....? 🤔

I roll them in flour and pan fry them. I have also used Shake & Bake on them and baked them in the oven. Both ways are delicious.

Never made my own dressing and french is the only one hubby will eat. Will that recipe keep for a long time in the fridge?
