    You're an amazing woman, so organized and neat those, who homeschool their children should watch all your videos to learn home economics.. even ones who go to a public school should have their children watch since they don't teach home economics anymore...you definitely have a knack for teaching with your awesome recipes and videos

    Hi Renea,
    I just found your videos yesterday. You are so inspiring and amazing! Your children are so blessed to have you cook for them. My daughter and her family are going to start coming over with my 2 grandsons for meals more regularly and you are giving me some really good ideas. I am hoping to make some freezer meals to give to my grown children and their families. I like how you cook and share that love with others. Thank you!!

    I love watching and learning from you, your so down to earth. What I do for my freezers is everything I put in I write it in my notes on my phone and delete it when I take it out easy to see what I have and what I need. And just a little tip with your silicone baggies use a permanent marker and when you empty it, the Marker comes right off with a little alcohol and paper towel.

    Some of my favorite things to freeze dry are onions and garlic. In fact, I have 4 trays of onions that will be going into the freeze dryer after my avocado is done. Onions and garlic are wonderful to powder up. It doesn’t clump up like it does when they are dehydrated. It powders down to nothing, but it is very potent. I will be doing a lot of vidalia onions when they come back in season! They are so good, you can eat them by the handfuls when they are freeze dried!

    Your freezer looks way more organized than mine. The hubs and I are going to rearrange the big stand up and the fridge/freezer that is in the garage and I do have a 7 cubic chest freezer in my freeze dryer room. I did get the freezer in the kitchen cleaned out. I know we are all very thankful that we have the freezers and to have them full but I want to try to get anything I can freeze dried also to have more room in the freezer and wont have to worry soo much if there is power outages!

    That yeast is in mylar and vacuumed sealed so you do not have to freeze it but keep in a cool pantry would be advisable. Once opened it must be kept in the fridge and if you don't it will not last long.

    I have a question for you, Renee. You had some of those silicone gallon freezer bags with meat in them. When you’re done with the bag, can you wash it out and reuse it or do you have to throw it away because it had meat in it. The regular gallon freezer bags when I put meat in them I do not reuse them. If I do not have a meat product in it, then I reuse bags that’s why I was asking if those silicone bags could be reused after you’ve used them with meat.
    I have some of the silicone bags that are reusable and I love them but don’t use meat in them not yet. I don’t want to have to throw them away because they’re so expensive.

    • @LittleVillageHomestead
      @LittleVillageHomestead  Год назад +1
