I just can’t seem to get enough of your channel and your lovely personality. Your a straight shooter lady and we need more people like you in this country to show the world how lovely the American People can be. Your generosity to others is a breath of fresh air. Thanks so much for your true beauty
Thanks for keeping me company while I clean and organize my kitchen 😊 What a lucky family to have someone who puts such love and attention into their food. Family is everything!
This reminds me of cooking as I was growing up. There were 10 kids in my family so every day was a big cooking day. We raised our own chickens, pigs and beef. Milked cows, made butter and always had a huge garden and canned a lot. We had 2 large freezers. One for all the meat and the other for freezer meals. Always made bread and biscuits every other day. Big Mamma cooking is the best.
You grew up wonderfully!!!
I felt I was in the kitchen with you, drinking a cup of hot cocoa, chatting with you! This made me happy! Thank you for the recipes. And that was a great price for that 17" skillet. See you next time. ❤
Like my Mom used to tell us, My Grandma used to say, "All hands on deck *** East Pine Street" (Ironwood). She only held me. 🙂 Don't forget to make a kids table! That was Thanksgiving at Dad's side (Uncle's). We sat with our cousins at the kids table. I was much younger. It's all good we wanted to go play, and get in trouble anyway. 😇
As someone who lives in Worcestershire - we just call the sauce Worcester sauce (Do I admit I find it funny listening to Americans struggling with it 😶) Great meal Renee 👍
As an American, that word is one of the few I always have to think about before saying. A few years ago I learned that the way we pronounce it is all wrong anyway, but I can never seem to recall the correct pronunciation, LOL!
Pronounce it war-ster 💜
It's wor cester shire sauce.
We call it…what’sthisheresauce, lol. Close enough. Love the sauce anyway you call it.
My mothers name is Renee, she loved to cook and bake. I love your channel for obvious reasons.Thank you for posting.
Love to listen to you while you cook, look the way you run your kitchen, great job!😊
I just feel right at home watching your videos. Thank you for inviting all of us into your home and sharing your recipes and tips with us. I grab a cup of coffee and feel like I'm right there visiting. That's how warm and cozy you make one feel. Bless you and your family!
I feel like I am in your kitchen sipping on coffee keeping you company. I love your down to earth cooking. I never thought about ising my old potato masher for breaking up hamburger! Now I don't need to buy one of those gadgets and the masher looks to work better!
Hi I live 30 minutes from the lodge factory, that makes cast iron. They have a cornbread festival every Aug or sept.
I would love to see that place.
It warms my heart to watch you cooking and baking.Learning a lot ! Thank you.
When I make the Pumpkin Crunch Cake I top mine with a Spice Cake Instead of using the yellow mix. The spices in the spice cake go so well with the pumpkin pie spice to give it so much added flavor. I like to add chopped pecans to ours too but I add then half way thru the cooking time. Sometimes they get too brown and it makes them bitter tasting. For that reason I just wait awhile to add them to the top.
I just love this show and Renea is the best!!! Btw... Got my COFFEE!!!☕☕☕☕
Enjoy!
Lol I was just watching your older videos and a new one pops up! Yaa! :)
That pumpkin dump cake would be great with a spice cake mix! We had hamburg gravy so often as a child that I just can't stomach it anymore! Loved it as a kid but not now! We all have one childhood dish we just can't hardly tolerate and this is mine! My husband's is chicken pot pie!
You better make sure where you are going in the truck that they have diesel fuel! They are now saying there is no diesel in the Knocksville area at all!
Holy cow that is good to know. I need to look that up and make sure we will be in the same lanes with fuel.
Simple, good food makes for great family gatherings. I like a meal that doesn't "kill" the cook and doesn't require any fuss during the meal itself. Set the table and everyone serves themselves. I know that you had a wonderful time.
I work at home Ava I have been watching her from the very start.. And OMG, the grandbabies are just so precious!!!!
you kept me company today while I cooked lots of tortillas for the freezer ...I can't agree more ... scratch cooking is a must for me ...I love being in the kitchen and learning new skills .. all important and very enjoyable 🌻🌻
Your family is going to have such amazing memories to look back on !! I just love you Renea to pieces , feels like your part of my family now ❤ I have watched so many videos I am now searching for ones I have not watched and came across this one ! I wrote the pumpkin crunch cake down and wil he making for my daughter !

Thank you for the segment on how to clean, maybe those who never have been taught will see this video, keeping things clean is good. Not having pet hair is a breath of fresh air.
I love your cooking and pantry chat videos!
There is a lot of love going on in your home. How wonderful. We have children in Texas, Tennessee and Indiana--how I cherish the moments when we all get to be together.
Beautiful family and beautiful food Renae. I am sure enjoying all of your content. I have enjoyed a cup of coffee with you for sometime now, and I still grab me a hot cup when I see your video up. God bless

Thanks for having me over (it felt like it!). You’re a beautiful gem!
So excited to see you!!!!
Love this! Love your cooking! Love the houseful of people! Great video!
I grew up with hamburger gravy. We would make baking powder biscuits with it like grandma made. One of my all time comfort foods. We also canned our green beans. I'm like you and clean as I go.
I love watching your family. I’m in my seventy’s and can’t do a lot. You remind me of my family. Love ya.
That meal looks absolutely delicious! I too love cooking for my family!
Good ol biscuits and gravy...yummy! I have made that pumpkin crunch cake before and it was delicious. I always make my own buttermilk but I use vinegar, just cause I never have lomon juice. I love your refrigerator...its such a great size.
We call that a Pumpkin Surprise. But I have always just made the pie recipe with the mix and butter on top. I started making it probably 40 years ago. Still love it.
Renee your channel is awesome. You and hubby such good grandparents. What beautiful grandkids you have. I've been watching your channel for days as the blizzard continues. I'm from Southern Iowa. Bless you happy holidays
I am new to your channel and I love it! You are an inspiration.
Love this pumpkin cake recipe! I wonder if I could do the same with apples etc. Yum I can smell it from here!
I do love your channel. You cook the way I do but in larger amounts.
Love that gravy, sure will feed a crowd with no complaints. Always make mine with flour. Your pumpkin Crunch Cake looked divine.
I've missed you miss renee its good to see you again xx
Looks so delicious Renee yummy,I’m going to make those biscuits for supper tonight ❤
Your family is so lucky to have you. Looks delicious. Peace
Awesome video. Dinner looks delicious. I am making that dinner this Sunday. Thanks for sharing
You make me want to bake biscuits. Looks so easy. Thank you❣️
I JUST LOVE WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS ❤❤❤
The mess made is the same rather you make a single serving or ten servings, so you may as well make loads while you’re cooking and have freezer meals for days you don’t feel like being in the kitchen. Also, I’ve always been of the opinion food made in large portions just tastes better for some reason, but that’s probably due to doing cooking for crowds of over 100 with my mom since that food always turned out great. The other times I feel food tastes better is when it is made by someone else and when it is prepared and eaten outdoors-did a lot of camping growing up and that was some of the best food I’ve ever eaten
Hi Renea! Good day for cooking yummy recipes. John is the heavy lifter in the house. Have a blessed day!
Hi Renae, love your cookin, I only cook for two, but cook large and what is left I put in container and take to our little town blessing box, that way I can bless others with my cookin. I am a big canner, but can’t give them my jars as I never get them back, I love your videos and I make what you make, I just love you girl. I need your cookbook, tried on my phone but can’t get it to work, ❤dj
We can go through paypal and I can send you a cookbook, Thanks
@@LittleVillageHomestead hi, I just saw you reply, but I don’t have PayPal either. I sent you a check with extra for postage, I am so grateful as I have wanted you cookbook for so long thank you can’t wait to see the book. Dj
At the end of this video it made me smile, sending best wishes always...
Hey! Just wanted to tell you I am soo enjoying your videos! I’ve had a Renae marathon! I cook like my Mamaw, but sure wish I’d had some of your recipes when I was feeding my farmer men! I agree you don’t need to be on the road! You take care! Here’s to hamburger gravy and pumpkin cake! 🤗
Love watching your videos. Thax for sharing.
Love your videos love watching you cook. I cook like you do my husband is a meat and potato eater and casseroles
I made your white chicken chili last Sunday and got rave reviews. It will be happening again!
Coffee With Kate sent me over to your channel.🌷🌷🌷
She is such a sweet heart. Thank you for stopping by. Welcome to my channel.
Much love from Arkansas. I love your videos. Thank you...
That's nearly the same biscuit recipe i use, except my recipe calls for a scant teaspoon of baking soda. I made a pot of beef stew a couple of days ago, and made biscuits to go with it.
Like with your butter wrapper; that's like the Bruschetta cheese at work, there's always film of wrapper on the block. then you slice it and it's in there. I care to remove it. Observation.
I have the coil stove as well and i do cook with cast iron pans, but when I use my big one like that it doesnt seem to heat evenly
I want to try that soon.
Your basin to do dishes, I still use moms. I just did my dishes and cleaned the sink.
I made the 15 bean pizza soup that's out there. It was delicious 😜
Great video Renea.
Grandma Sue in central Indiana

Oh my goodness I am new to your channel and I love it,I've been binge watching you,I so wished I lived close by because I could watch you cooking all day and maybe I could get a taste or too.But I live in the uk so maybe a little far lol 😂 xx
If I use a spice cake mix on top, should I change any of the spices in the liquid portion? :)
BOP
Haha!! 😂. I call paper plates our “ fine china” too! 😂
I love these kinds of videos. They are very inspiring. How is Tracy doing these days?💞
She is doing well. Recovering from surgery and you will see her soon.
What a nAwesome person you are.
Beautiful family.
Just love your red salt & pepper grinders, where did u buy them? Love all of your videos, thank u for sharing
I got them at a yard sale.
Looks yummy ❤
Thanks for sharing my friend,👍👍💯💯💯🙏🙏🙏
I watch all your channels love them all could you show some of your cake decorating I also baking chocolate and vanilla cakes I'm Betsy from Pembroke Massachusetts South Shore
Looks yummy
Do you taste any lemon flavor in the butter milk? What is the ratio?
I love your videos so much you are so sweet and calming. One thing though I have watched many of your videos and I really wish you could plate and taste test your food. Tell us what this gravy tastes like I have never heard of hamburger gravy but it sounds like something I would make. At the beginning of your video you said you would cut your cake so we could see out if turns out but I think you forgot. I would have loved to see how that cake turned out. Just like your bread making bread intimidates me I know it sounds crazy I'm just not good at it. But watching your videos makes be want to try again. When you take your bread out of the oven I would really like to see how it turns out (crumb) This is in no way criticizing you. I adore you. Just as a viewer these are things I look for when watching cooking videos.
What kind of butter do you use
Renae, have you a recipe for coconut poke cake?
I am sure I do.
Renea, how much melted butter did you use for the cake? I’m gonna make that later! 😁
1 stick
Now I know why I like you so much!
I am a retired LTD myself!
I just saw your short, with the face/computer. That was really funny, we don't see you that way at all! I'm just a good American with two day off. That's funny!
OMG.. That was my friend and I just having a ball about 5 years ago. I laughed so hard I about died...
This was nice seeing you preparing and getting ready to enjoy your meal! Everything turned out great! Thanks Renea!
I shop at an Amish store by my house called Pineview! Wonder if you are that close to me? Love, McBain!
I am about 45 minutes west of you by Manistee.
We speak the same language but goodness there is a big difference! Minced beef (ground beef) cooked in a gravy sauce is called mince in the U.K. Is there a difference between what you call ground beef and hamburger mix? Is it seasoned? I’ve never seen milk added to beef in that way, always be gravy / stock over here with Worcestershire ( pronounced war-ster) sauce and the optional oxo cubes!
ground beef is the same as hamburger not seasoned.
There are different fat to meat ratios in our ground beef/hamburger meat, but it’s all the same animal essentially. Being American, I stopped attempting to pronounce Worcestershire long ago and went with the “wer-ster” pronunciation after watching UK cooking shows and sitcoms. You speak English, we have adapted/slaughtered English into what can only be called “American” since even within our borders it’s spoken differently dependent on where you are.
You don’t have a dishwasher? You really have to do it all from scratch.
YOU are Amazing. I want your Cookbook Where?
There is a link to my cookbook under my video in the description box or you can use this one.

My husband is a truck driver and got into the business to get away from women. 😆 but he’s not over the road driver. So he’s home every day to be with the kids.
My fridge is worse then yours. Same size and it full. It’s Tetris in my fridge.
I went back and listened twice and I didn’t hear you say how much melted butter that gets poured over the top of the cake.
I used 1 stick.
Do u ever use fresh pumpkin in this cake?
You could but I never have.
I cannot stand a messy stove either lol
I am a Michigander like you, I was born in battle creek, mich. I was wandering if you have a copy cat recipe like whistle stop green fried tomatoes that can be made up and put in my pantry, and can you dehydrate green tomatoes and rehydrate them to fry.
I do have a cornmeal breading recipe. I have never dehydrated my green tomatoes to save for frying. What I do is prepare them and par fry them then freeze them. Almost like restaurant stuff. that way you can take them out of the freezer and finish frying them and they turn out delicious. We love fried green tomatoes.
IS IT ONE OR TWO STICKS OF BUTTER? THANK YOU.
I am not sure which recipe you are asking about.
💜💜
What was the size of your pan?
17 inch
Did Mr. Wayna grab a Koegel pickled Red Hot? Yum, my favorite! Have a good day friend.
It is pickled but not red hot.
I've got a funny/sad story for you about a woman trucker, world. ha yeah... Good for you Renea, you're a Home Econ Prof right now..
I am loaded with trucker stories after driving 15 years. Lol
@@LittleVillageHomestead yeah.. ok. My story wouldn't surprise you. Moving on then.
Do you have the cake recipe linked?
No but it is as follows:
Yellow cake mix
15 ounce can pumpkin puree
3 eggs
1-1/2 C. half & half
1 stick melted butter
@@LittleVillageHomestead thanks!
@@LittleVillageHomestead and 3/4 c sugar 🤷♀️🥰
@@LittleVillageHomestead oh and pp spice lol
I had to use raw goat's milk as my milk 🙏
