Slow living isn’t a trend for me. It's a lifestyle I have embraced for years; I learned it from my mom and grandma. We always just took our time to enjoy the beauty of the everyday. I’m a romantic at heart, with a practical lifestyle approach to “keep it simple.” I grew up on a farm, which furthered my love of simplicity and back to the basics mindset.
We moved six months ago to our cozy cottage, and we are in the process of fixing it up. I strive to make our home cozy and inviting no matter what remodeling stage we are in. Making a home hygge and cozy is just a normal way of life for me, and I can’t imagine it any other way.

My youngest son lives on his own, about 1/2 away from us, and now I’m thinking I will make some of these recipes to put in HIS freezer. He doesn’t love to cook and is tired after a long work day. I think a breakfast burrito can be tasty anytime of day! Thanks for the great ideas Abby ❤

What a satisfying feeling to accomplish so many meals ahead of time! They go so fast and we're back at it again before ya know it, aren't we! This is why we need the kitchen to be a cozy place for us....because it is where we spend most of our time! 🙂

I actually just looked on ebay and found the taostmaster waffle iron/ griddle..they certainly arent cheap anymore..but I love waffles and its just me but having fresh from scratch in the freezer awesome..I live wafflewhichs..I sluse them with a meat fried or baked and egg and cheese. I get so many compliments when I make these for people..some like different meats etc
I butter the waffles or mayo..and homemade that will be even better..they are so good .Thank you for showing the waffle maker.a friend has a really old flat electric toaster cant even find one anymore family member sparring to see who gets it lol.love love love your videos!!

Wow, that was so wonderful to watch. Bless you and yours for all the hard work. I do this too, but not as much, since we are empty nester's now. I put a large batch of mashed potatoes that I cooked up in the freezer, recently and some cakes. We live on a farm, so I always have eggs too and sell them. Thank you for the wonderful ideas. I need to make those muffins.

I just found your site I love your recipes. I have never seen your pour batter before but reminds me of a cobbler I made when I was working in a ICF group home I would mix up Jiffy mix for Cobbler and put in on fruit cocktail or any other fruit we had for breakfast. The clients loved it they thought it was desert for breakfast. I had never seen the chocolate baked oatmeal great idea I think I am going to make for my five year old grandson Byron Scott always looking for a healthy breakfast or snack idea. Thank you for the recipes! I don't have freezer space to do this large batch cooking, but I did make a double batch of the Chocolate PB baked oatmeal and my picky toddler couldn't get enough of it! Thanks again, really enjoyed this.

Hello, I just stumbled upon your video. It was so calming and "de-stressing". I've never heard of sheet pan eggs before, but feel like finding your video today was devine intervention. My life right now is very inconvenient as I live in Georgia but work in Alabama and drive home every other weekend to clean & cook for my husband and have been failing miserably at trying to figure out how to have breakfast sandwiches for him all week (or two). I can hardly wait for next weekend, he will be so happy to see all the sandwiches and that oatmeal bake and burritos as well to carry him for 2 weeks. God bless you and your family!

Leaving hungry as usual! I was just thinking that I needed to stock up the freezer with some breakfasts, since that seems to be the hardest one to actually get on the table. Now that my chickens are coming out of their winter laying break, I’m excited to have eggs to use as I please instead of rationing! But first, I need to clear all the sap out of my freezer and boil it down so I actually have room…
It’s the best having freezer meals ready to go! So nice when the hens get laying eggs again. 🙌
All day cooking hurt me even when I was young but afternoon activities meant I had to walk in the door and put dinner on the table. I learned to do exactly what you said, I tripled everything and before long my freezer was full. It’s just as easy to make 3 meatloafs, spaghetti whatever as it was to do one! Loved the video.

Hi AbbyJo! I loved your video and it gave me lots of inspiration for good healthy breakfasts! I love to stock my freezers and pantry with: sourdough bread (I make 6 loaves at a time), sourdough waffles, pumpkin chocolate chip muffins, soups, chili, and granola. And always in huge quantities for our family! It gives me quick meals for before we start homeschooling!

I do waffles, breakfast muffins love that I can grab a fast breakfast when I need it. Your videos are always great.

Its heartwarming to see children in the kitchen. Especially boys. Cooking skills taught young are sooo important so fostering an interest is huge. My mom didn’t like us in the kitchen and when I left home I could barely boil water. It would have been a way for us to bond and so helpful to have basic cooking skills then as when I left home our economy was in such a bad state. I didn’t have a car, it could have saved me alot of money and nights eating canned soup and beans. Luckily I had just enough Home Economics classes from Jr High that really helped. I almost always cook from scratch and have most of my adult life. Its so important for the household budget and health.
It's so true! It does help keep on budget, is healthier, and I think it's nice to work with your hands. Good skills to have :)

I have always made freezer meals. i sometimes cook a bunch but mostly just double or triple something when im cooking something. i use smaller pans now that its just the two of us.

My mom has that waffle iron!! It truly makes the best waffles! With the tiny holes! The new waffle irons have such big holes. I'm not a fan

okay! How to I reheat the burritos and bagels? Thank you so much!
You can reheat in the microwave (I don't have one) or put them unwrapped on a sheet pan with some tin foil on top and reheat slowly at 300-350F for 10-20mins the will vary on stoves, if they are defrosted first the night before etc.
