Anxiety is the biggest enemy of old age. In our younger days death did not cross our mind, but in old age we always think that tomorrow we may not be here anymore.
I’m 76! I run 5 days a week and swim 2 times a week, 3/4’s of a mile! I’ve been a runner for forty plus years! I also exercise everyday after I get done running, weights and other various exercises! We all experience changes in our bodies, but we all know what the alternative is!
I totally agree with you! I also am 76 and have cycled 6,000 miles so far - that is going back and forth across the US. Being active is the keystone to good health at any age!
It’s fascinating how our bodies can provide clues about our health! After 70, urination habits can indeed offer insights into overall wellness. Changes in frequency, color, and consistency may indicate hydration levels, kidney function, or other health issues. For instance, if you’re urinating more frequently at night, it might be a sign of an enlarged prostate or diabetes. Darker urine could suggest dehydration, while very light urine might indicate overhydration. Staying mindful of these patterns and discussing any significant changes with a healthcare provider can help in managing health as we age. Regular check-ups and maintaining a balanced diet, along with hydration, play crucial roles in longevity too!
Trouble is not easy to see a GP in the UK, you have to now use an app to make an appointment, and asked questions, why do you want to see a GP, what have you done about, then what have you taken message flashes up in an instant will get a call, and you wait for ever, then have to go to the surgery and insist to see someone. So they will not care what color your urine is.
No one can extend the longevity of their life but can improve the quality of life. I don’t worry about dying but try to improve the quality of life while I am here.
My problem at 71 is that I have the habit of drinking a glass of water after peeing, which triggers a need to pee again within a couple of hours. It's my obsession to stay hydrated.
Very simple answer to the urinating problem. A male when he starts getting older, urinatin will get slower and more frequent. I noticed that on myself and I’m 86 years Jung. I watched guys, talked to some about and discussed it with my Urologist. That’s the way of life.

I can't help you with the coffee because if I smell coffee I am disgusted. If its in my mouth I'm puking! Old story goes back to USAF long nights trying to stay awake on Gate Guard Duty. Sleeping is easy for me at age 72. I used to use Melatonin and Lavender Oil but my body got used to 2 pills so I would go to 3 pills. Then 4 pills. Well that is a problem. Also I routinely woke up feeling "groggy". That is never fun. I resolved that by skipping the pills and just sniffing the Lavender Oil. Now I have the routine all figured out. I can go to sleep 12 minutes after I hit the pillow sometimes I can stay asleep all night and wake at 0600 (feeding time for dogs and time to start the day). But that is rare. Mostly I wake up once per night to use toilet. After that I may have difficulty regaining my sleep. With the oil I let myself fall asleep at pillow time. If I wake I sniff the oil when I return to bed. Usually I sleep all night after that. Remember not to sniff many, many times. 3 times is good for me practice for your self. It really really works! If I had known that magic long ago I would suffered far fewer sleepless nights!!
I drink a max of 3 caffeine containing drinks ( tea or coffee)daily - all before 4pm and no caffeine after that time. My sleep quality I would rate as 8 out of 10.

Since we have a family history of cancer and dementia. I have my PSA checked and of course my creatine levels to see if my kidneys are functioning. So far no cancer but I get anxious for there will be a time between anxiety due to senility or the loss of cognitive ability due to the onset of dementia. How long you live really depends on your outlook and genetic disposition assuming you follow: good hydration, good nutrition, good sleep, breathing with meditation and movement or exercise.

This video is informative, but oversimplifies some issues. As a 62-year-old, I agree that urination habits can reflect health, but frequent night trips to the bathroom aren't always a sign of illness. It can be due to changes in routine, not just serious conditions. Also, the advice to drink eight glasses of water a day isn't one-size-fits-all; it depends on individual needs. Staying active and eating healthy are great tips, but not every senior can exercise as easily. While helpful, the video seems too optimistic about how much control we have over age-related health issues.

It's also how much probiotic bacteria is in your gut. I have a doctor for my check up. my numbers for cholesterol, and AIC- they are 50 and 6.5 respectively.
The content is helpful, however, the title is "off-putting".
Do these people get paid by the minute ? Are they trying to inform or cause panic ??
I'm 72. Feel like I'm 200.😢
Too many unnecessary words repeating the same thing, but not to the point. It was very difficult to listen to the end.

ALL OF YOU SAID WAS VERY BENIFICIAL TO HEALTH BUT THE THE PROBLEM IS THAT EVERY PERSON IS NOT SO RESOURCEFUL TO AFFORD THE EXPENSES ON THIS ACCOUNT.THEREFORE KINDLY ADVISE FOR US A SIMPLE AUTHENTIC MEDICAL FORMULA WHICH CAN BE OWNED EASILY WITH OUT CHARGES.THANKS.

This video takes 17 minutes to state that men should watch their urine habits.
Too long!!!
Cant you speed this up. I am growing old
Obviously this lady is not in her 70’s, I really wish I could feel like the First Gentleman, but can we really control what happens to us as we age?
