Thanks guys. I was a Finance major, not a student of music... but if i could go back, I would give my eye teeth to have been in a group like this. The closest I ever got was singing hymns with Steve Davis at the Wesley Foundation. He was amazing with a piano... whatever note I found to start with, he would transpose and there we would go. That was over 3 decades ago now... but God that was fun.
Superb! What a lovely clear tone and your diction was a joy to hear, understood every word. I can't believe it is only eight of you. Truely a treasure to hear! Thank you!
Somewhere in my house is a cassette tape that is about 40 years old, and on that tape is the recording of the spring choral concert my freshman year of high school. This song was sung by the (audition only) Concert Choir, a 70 student SSATB group. It’s been a favorite of mine for decades. Your opening notes were every bit as full and wonderful as I remember, had I not been watching, I would have not immediately guessed there were only 8 of you
lovely. I very much enjoyed being in the marching band in high school and college, but have not touched my trumpet in years. I DO SING... and wish I had had the chance to do something like this.... but could not do both being a Business Major and not a Music Major. I can't get this out of my head! I hear these boys everywhere I go now. I've learned MY part by now from listening, so am singing along in my mind. Thanks! Harold
Now to the souls of these eight young men, may the Lord of life and glory be pleased to bring the truth of the words they have sung home to their hearts.
This is a very difficult piece to sing. I sing a version of it in a chorus myself. Most of the parts come in on the off beat and when one person is off it screws up the timing for everyone else. This is very well done.
Aaron Sweet This is my absolute favorite piece I’ve sung in High School thus far, I sang it last year for the PMEA Districts Choral Festival in my area, every time I hear this song it reminds me of how far I’ve come and how far I still have to go in order to better myself as a singer and performer
