Well done! I have performed in choirs most of my life. I haven’t been that young for a very long time.
one of best renditions of this I've found. Crisp and more shape-note authentic sound.
Ghost light chorus huh !?!?!??!?! well you guys just made me cry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a grown man of 40 cry!!!!! you guys have no idea NO FREAKING IDEA HOW MUCH THAT SONG MEANS TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! years ago when i was in chorus we did this song and it was one of my favorites!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of this 40 year old's heart for bringing back memories of the past!!!!! :D ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!
Awesome!
Love this!!!!! Shape Note, right?
As someone from Appalachia, I feel there’s no need to “sing it like us”. I’m sure none of these people speak this way. Also, I think the tall, operatic diction with which this piece is usually performed serves it much better. It makes it sound so nice and elegant; it just fits. I would never encourage musically educated people to try to sing like people from where I’m from. 🤣
good tempo. this is often done too fast.
Tall soprano left of the conductor wants more attention than she deserves
Sad thought toward a person.. you could be wrong ....God knows her heart❤️🎶
What a rude thing to say. Just to humor you, I rewatched it, and she is literally doing nothing wrong but singing like she's supposed to.
