You see John’s very famous Martin D-28 that he wrote just about all of his songs on, including the Tree of Forgiveness, the greatest album and gift to his fans… for those of us who listened to this man and his wisdom for on so many decades. I pray the newer generations discover his works, they’re timeless, and his music will help you when you need it. Or, it’s also just great to kick back and have a beer to.

Is the guitar famous in it's own right ? What's it's name ? It looks similar to another guitar I know maybe I know him

This episode of Austin City Limits was the 6th episode of Season 31 (2005-2006). It features the return of the legendary singer-songwriter John Prine, who had recently recovered from cancer. Prine is in fine voice here, delivering a set of his classic songs, including "Angel From Montgomery," "Some Humans Ain't Human," and "Sam Stone." He also performs several tracks from his then-new album, "Fair & Square." The episode also features a set from Amos Lee, who was just starting to make a name for himself at the time. Lee's music is a mix of folk, soul, and R&B, and his lyrics are full of poetry and emotion. He performs a number of songs from his debut album, "Amos Lee," including "Colors," "Arms of a Woman," and "Black River." Overall, this is a great episode of Austin City Limits that showcases two talented artists at different stages of their careers. It's a must-see for fans of folk and Americana music.👍

I didn’t find John’s music until after he passed from Covid. He is my favorite singer song writer now.

    John is legendary....
The closest musician to his talent still alive and touring is Bonnie Raitt ....
Grew up lustening to the whole gang !
Lowell, Linda, Don ( Hensley ),
    Jackson, and so mqny more!!
Felt so pleased could take my youngest son to two of his concerts here in RVA....
Saw him the first time at the venue called the Mosque (sp.) Here in
    Richmond
He was in rare form, Probably had a couple of those vodka and ginger ale cocktails before
The show.... pretty sure he broke at least 3 guitar strings while playing, his crew had his back as another aucustic was immediately brought to him immediately
    Pretty sure it was 1976.
Still listen and learn from his down to earth music, like right now on a Friday night hanging with my two dogs.
Fuck Covid and those behind it
    He didn't deserve that.
Got to be my all time favorite !

Pretty sure the guitar player is Jason Wilber. He played with John for 24 years. John Burns played with Prine in the early years (with Steve Goodman too), but he'd be much older than Jason is there by that time.

I agree with you but also: It looks like only 40% of the electorate voted at all. That means about 60% of the electorate chose to sit it out. Maybe there was voter suppression(probably) but the ones that didn't vote thinking there is no difference between Kamala and Trump are also responsible for his win. A democracy is not a democracy if everyone doesn't take part. It's minority rule. Protesting by not voting isn't effective- It's giving up and giving in to autocracy and oligarchy. The best we can do is be each other's safety net and social security. Community is how we survive and thrive.

@Live Preserver would you please upload more episodes of Austin City Limits? I'm interested in the following:
Asleep at the Wheel and Bob Wills' Texas Playboys from Season 1 in 1976 (the first Austin City Limits episode to air nationally)
Hank Williams Jr. and The Shake Russell-Dana Cooper Band from Season 5 in 1980
Vince Gill and Junior Brown from Season 20 in 1995
The Lost Gonzo Band and Jerry Jeff Walker from Season 1 in 1976 (this episode includes the first live performance of "London Homesick Blues", before it became the Austin City Limits theme song starting with Season 2 in 1977)
Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band from Season 9 in 1984
Leonard Cohen with Christine Albert and Paul Glasse from Season 19 in 1994
John Hiatt and Radney Foster with Mary Chapin Carpenter also from Season 19 in 1994
I think all of these episodes are great and deserve to be watched by a wider audience.
    👍
