This is the last season of Austin City Limits to use the opening theme music by Charlie Sexton, which had been used since Season 30. After this season, the opening theme music by Charlie Sexton was phased out. The song is a great jam, so this is a shame. I wonder what the rationale was for the change, and why they didn’t keep the song, but bring in a different artist to perform it? It’s a shame that Charlie Sexton no longer provides the theme music, because it’s a great song and it always gets me in the mood for the show. It’s one of the best theme songs in the history of television!👍
