Nice review and very nice family. I've owned several Mazdas which drove very well and planted and had the 2020 Hyundai Palisade limited which was a great SUV. I'm considering the CX90 PHEV Premium Plus or the Hyundai Palisade Caligraphy but waiting for the 2025 models.
Mazda knocked it out the ball park with this one! I got it for my wife and I’ve driven it a couple times….. all I can say is this a is a family ALL AROUND car! Luxury sporty and you can feel the tires all four literally hug the pavement!!! I can’t say enough, great car at a great price!
Nice practical review for everyday folks. It is evident that you Love the way it drives/ Handles. Mazdas (I've had 2 of them years ago) with their Zoom-Zoom have always been classified as The Poor Man's BMW . The 3.3 L TUrbo S engine is the way I would go - Premium Plus model is on my "short List" for replacing my 22 MDX Advance in August BUT the CX-70 [don't really need a 3rd Row].
I rented a car over the summer in Orlando and this is the vehicle they gave me. As I drove it to the hotel, I just blurted out, “Man, I really like this car.” It was shockingly good. I never considered a Mazda before, but now it’s in the list of options.
Nice! First congratulations to you on your new CX-90 and secondly congrats to you on moving to Florida, and thirdly if you happen to be Gemini major shout out to you! 😎

Thanks for the shout out brother I enjoy watching all of your content and I'm a big fan of the vehicles you choose they all seem to be fun vehicles that also serve a specific purpose if I had a big family I'd definitely get a CX90
I have the exact same response on my channel I commented on the on the car I bought the same one thank you for sharing. The leg room is an issue and no storage
Beware that after warranty this vehicle is going to be really expensive to repair. Most repairs will require the engine to be lifted out. Hope the timing chain doesn't go out because it's in the back of engine and it requires the engine to come out completely.
Timing chain are not going anywhere, its design at the rear of the engine for stability of the motor when rev at high rpm. So the timing wont break if it was in front.
Due to the design of the engine being inline6,the pistons and seals around it will always build residuals or if not being service (oil change) every 5k miles, it might clog the valves and will cause leaks.this is the same issues with the 4cylinders but since this has 6,its more prone for issues due to its more powerful and have more valves.the 4cylinders last longer because of the design but it lacks power.less parts and light weight. But 6cylinders are heavy too that affects center of gravity (not by much) but its there, which also gives stress to the pistons and valves to work harder especially when you always do TURNS/CORNERING. This is why V6 for its design will last longer with less issue compare to straight 6 engine (in the same build and brand). Its the design flaws. Just like CVT transmission on other cars, its a design flaw that have high risks of issues.
We've been test driving a whole bunch of different cars in the last 2 weeks because my wife's car finally gave up the ghost. We finally settled on a cx90 Turbo S premium 2025 model year with the white leather interior. The car has so many features and I'm already used to an older Mazda that my daughter owns Which impressed me enough to consider buying a new mazda. But this takes it to a whole new level. The zoom zoom is understated in this car it's really fast. And things like a little orange triangle that lights up in the side view mirrors whenever there's a car in your blind spot. The car will literally pull you back into the lane if you start to drift. Lots and lots of safety features should keep the insurance premiums lower. But oh that sounds system pretty darn good for a Bose.
I saw a listing for a used Turbo S Premium Plus with 7,500 miles. It was listed at 48 k, down from its original 62 k. I’m really tempted but worried it might be one of those early models with transmission and other issues.
It probably doesn’t always unlock because you’re touching both the handle sensor and the touch button to lock it. Was looking at your hand when you grabbed the handle.

The first time we drove it to enjoy our new vehicle and hit a bump my kids asked if we lost or break something. Lack of suspension and horrible noises on bumps and joints (yeah, NYC is far from perfect but the previous Highlander was three heads above in terms of comfort). Other than that I like both the exterior and the interior, the engine and mileage, but the suspension is really a miss. And so is the steering - nice sportiness in city traffic is simply tiresome on a highway. I guess Mazda never heard of variable steering ratio. As well as of touchscreens (on a 50k suv….). Not to mention that the same screen in CX-50 is touch sensitive.
Congratulations on your purchase, what trim level did you get? I've found that the higher trim levels have a harsher ride than the lower trim levels for some reason.
I got a base select one too for new family needs, and its a great value for under 37k that i got. Has alot of space, drives well and is powerful enough. Some rattles in the interior though that are annoying and one in the 2nd row seat somewhere. Another really bizzare thing is the noises when you put the car into Park. Has a weird rotating banging sort of sound you can hear it slightly in the cabin. Its odd, do you notice this too? Been in the dealer for it, but they claim its fuel saving measures, timing, cylinder deactivation(that dont exist). I just foot on the brake, go back to Drive when finished driving, parking brake on, and turn off car and put into Park after, so i dont have to hear it. Does not make these sounds in Drive, or Reverse, but Neutral, and Park it does.
@@RaceCarFriends interesting, im just so curious what it all is about. Do you mean that it doesnt do it anymore or do you just not listen for it? Hi you're seeing it correctly, we had a CX5 before and ran into that same issue, with the CX-90 there's a ton more room so the rear facing car seat doesn't take away from the front seat leg room at all.
The straight 6 engine bay is the reason it's not that practical in terms of space. Personally, i think it's a bit of a miss really. I mean if you want to have a fun drive, you don't really buy a 3 row SUV. They could have made it larger, have a bit more space if that's what Mazda wanted to do.
overall I love the car. But watch the video from a mechanic called "the car care nut." he did a review of the only BIG issue with servicing this engine.

The ride quality is stiff and you feel every little bump. Its not good for long journeys because youll be tired at the end of it. Plus dashboard controls suck. It doesn't even have a touchscreen and have to everything through a dial.
I like the control dial, but I agree with you on the ride quality on the top level with the bigger wheels, I think the smaller wheels with the bigger tires offers a much smoother ride.

There are some feature comfort differences (Sound sytem superiority in Acura, Interior Light Show, and Massaging front Driver's seat) but that costs $10K More. If you buy the SV, Resale value goes to the Acura - best in the business pertaining to that.
Too big
@@Raymond-d1z The CX-70?
does the 3rd row have ac vents?
Yes it does.
You are kidding right.
Is this the core?
It's the Preferred Trim.

TY !
You're very welcome.
I heard recall of this car lately…
Yup there's a couple of recalls.
Yes
Nice Nate outside Silver Surfing! 🥈🔵🔵🟣🟣
Looked at one of these, and really cannot see what the fuss is about. To me, (67), the climate controls and computer are totally unusable, without stopping the car, putting on reading glasses, and figuring it out, each time! I like a nice handling car, but it has to be useable!
I hear you.
It’s usually the Toyota fanboys making all the fuss.
It has a touchscreen
God bless you and family
Thank you so much, same to you and your family.
Keep in mind; hood struts Fail.
Lol very true.
No cupholder
Where?
Quey
Oh snap the gooey one made the podium!!! 🥉🔵🔵
I have one also and it’s a pile of shit. I would not recommend this car to anyone I’ve lost complete power on two separate occasions thank god we weren’t on the freeway. It’s at Mazda as we speak. I’ve gone in 7 times cause the engine light has come on and they have no reason as to why it’s on. Mazda of America is most likely going to buy the car back
Aww man that sucks I'm sorry to hear that was your experience, it's a first year model so there's definitely going to be a bunch of lemons for the first year especially since this is the first of their straight 6 motors.
I bought a used "demo". I'm hoping they buy mine back as well.
@@silv99gsx Wow crazy!
Lemon Law. It’s been a common issue.
Be specific: do you have PHEV or Inline-6?

Personally, third row SUV’s are silly.
They work nicely with three kids though.
