This really works! My washer was no longer spinning. I was looking at calling a repairman which would have cost $119 diagnostic fee for just coming out or buying a new washer. I was dealing with this no spinning for months. I tried this without taking off the cover and it worked. I did the entire process the 1st time and her the spinner trying to agitate. So, I did the process again. I saw more movement with the spinner. So, the 3rd time, it worked and it spun at full speed. This entire process took less than 5 minutes. Thank you so much for loading this video. Save me $$$$.

Best video ever. I have watched a number of videos on this problem. All of them led me to believe that fixing this problem was likely out of my skill set and would involve buying a part (consider who's hosting video...an appliance part company?). This is the only video I saw that suggested a reset. It worked! Also very entertaining! Thank you!

Had a similar problem but on older model, and my solution was different; the transmission was simply bound up. The fix was just massaging all the various bits and pieces, tapping everything with a hammer, prying up and down on the pulley, checking belts, checking bottom key bits, then manipulating the entire transmission with a set of channel locks. Then it only wanted to spin after I filled the tub back up with water halfway (riddle me that, I have no idea). It's working again now, fingers crossed...

well I have a double break down here. washer was working fine last week. went to do a load today and I adjusted the water level, the damn knob was really hard to turn. yep it snapped off in my hand. tried to turn it with needle nose and thats a no go. machine is stuck in the lowest water mode, so I did a small load and wouldn't you know it.... the damn thing would not spin now either. just ordered the new water level switch and I will try this spin fix when I get it washing again next week.

Mine will spin once it finishes the rinse cycle and starts to pour water out but then stops spinning and makes a noise until it finishes. If I put it on spin cycle only it will spin clothes without a problem. Why is it doing that? There's no water inside left but the clothes feel wet, no soaked but not like it does after a normal spinning cycle.
