One thing you need to look at is the drive belt. Oil from the transmission will saturate the belt causing it to slip. Out of balance due to under rated suspension springs. There is a service bulletin for that. Me-Retired GE technician 40 years service. Quite a few problems can cause poor water extraction. Over sudsing of detergent is one of them.
This reminds me why I use a Maytag washer that's almost 50 years old. This new junk is like euro vehicles, over complicated unreliable POS's. Great video and diagnostic breakdown.
Mine won't spin or drain, changed the drain pump and now it overfilled, but the pulley is still there in one piece, did notice some black powder or oil around the pulleys though. So don't know if just cleaning the pulleys and throwing on a new belt will do the trick, but will definitely try tomorrow.
@@mariobenavides333 yes oily and loose belt play a big role. Also blow throw the pressure switch tube make sure there is no holes or debris in it. It’s shouldn’t over fill. That’s weird.
Not the best machines. I miss the Whirlpool/Kenmore/Maytag direct drives. As well as GE filter Flos and true Maytags! Although these machines tend to be less problematic than the VMW Whirlpool machines.
Cool. Thanks for the tip. I’ll try and give better explanations on the diagnostic mode and codes. Sometime I just get going too fast cause I do it all the time. I’ll try slowing it down and explain it better. Thanks. 👍
I have the same model and leave the clothes wet. My washing machine shows failure codes 19,26,27 and 31, we alredy change that sensor and the suspension rod but clothes still wet, I don't know what to do please help my with any sugestion
@@stephaniedubon7971 if there is any oil on the the belt I would clean the pulleys and put a new one on just for the heck of it. Belts aren’t expensive either. Those off balance codes could be coming from that too. That’s a tricky one there.
@@juliorivera870 good work. Yeah I’ve found out over the years that these units are pretty sensitive with the belts. Slippage throws off the sensor and it makes it throw codes. Thanks for letting us know. And thanks for watching. 👍

Great video. I have the same washer not spinning but after I clear all codes I'm left with lid lock code but when I run the test for the lid lock it shows everything is in working order. Any idea if I should replace the speed sensor or lid lock switch or both?
@@danielnavarro9247 my first thought is if you get the lock code back again and again. I’m thinking lock. I had a lid lock on a unit one time check fine but I ended up just trying one and it worked I was suspicious of the control but it ended up being the lock.
Hubby comes home from work. Wife says, "Honey, the washing machine is leaking. Can you fix it?" He points to his shirt pocket and says, "Does this say Maytag?" She says "whatever". The next day Hubby bomes home from work. Wife says, "Honey, the refrigerator stopped working. Can you fix it?" Again he points at his shirt pocket and says, "Does this say Frigidaire?"
