Yup that's the joke. They're classically trained jazz musicians and they choose to do this with it.
Nobody knows for sure, as it is known as Urban Legend, but I believe the Drummer is Louis Cole, who is literally out of this world
@@monolithic7739 No it's known. It's 100% Louis Cole. The playing style and their physical builds are 100% identical. The humor is also on brand. Knower songs and Clowncore songs are not that far apart. There's just more "chaos" in Clowncore, but it's essentially just an extension of what he was already doing in Knower.

Guys the last phase should be enjoyment. I'm so disappointed by the fact that their tracks are just few minutes long.

Clown core is straight up art. To my understanding this album, "Van" was indeed recorded mostly in that van, and their "Toilet" Ep was recording entirely in a porta-potty. So much perfect stupid creativity.

A van, particularly an older model like that one, is decent acoustic space for recording. Some of them are fabric almost to the ceiling, which absorbs a lot of stray sound. The windows are a bit reflective, but in so tight a space, it doesn't really matter.

That could apply to Louis Cole's entire catalog. Between Clown Core, Knower, and his own personal projects the man hits so many genres, hits them extremely well, and he maintains a creative and unique presentation style.

@@BlueZirnitra I think both Louis and Genevieve are at their best when they, for lack of a better word, don’t care. Their comedy/satirical stuff is fantastic for that reason, and I think it’s the reason their live performances often outweigh their recorded stuff.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Louis Cole, once you get in you’ll never leave.
On my second week of work at a new engineering firm, my coworker happened to see me watching one of their vids and listened to it himself. It was well over a week before anyone in the office talked to me again.
I cried laughing over how they just took off into the sunset, blasting at absolute maximum audio output.
This was lovely. VERY rare to see Clown Core reactions, if at all. And he absolutely loved it, as was expected. Cannot wait for more, love that he's getting into Igorrr as well, it'll be really dope to see where this channel goes. He's been all over the place on genres and so open to suggestions AND the music, it's so refreshing. Plus you get a bit of a breakdown of what's going on a bit more as a listener from a composer's view, and it's not over the top, super laid back. Absolutely love it

Oh my god Clown Core is such a WILD ride. You'd get a kick out of the full album. I cannot recommend it enough, if only for the experience. It's overwhelming but chalk full of such incredible talent.
As for the videos: they may have performed the songs in the van, but the album itself was not entirely recorded in the vehicle.
If you don't do this whole album (it's shorter than some prog songs), I at least recommend checking out Computers. Toilet and Hell from their first EP are also solid songs.

The musicianship in Clown Core is absolutely superb. The syncopated ritardondo about halfway through is so incredibly tight. Cole and Gendel are amazing. I just wish they would put out a full length EP. There isn't enough Clown Core in this world.

Clown core is two incredibly talented musicians sniffing glue and committing to all the terrible ideas they come up with. They have the chops to fucking nail it every time.
The members of Clown Core are widely belives to be part of the band Knower. I highly reccomend their live session of the song Overtime if you want to hear then play slightly more "serious" music!
You absolutely need to react to "computers" by the same band unless you've already heard it, "truth and life" on their previous album is also amazing.

These guys are legend. The range of emotions I go through from uncontrollable laughter at the lunacy and execution of the concept and the hilarity of the lyrics to the awe of their musicianship is so fun. The artistry and theatricality of their silliness is a breath of fresh air. Love them.
It’s hard to imagine more talented people existing, let alone making such insane music and not being pretentious about it. but I also thought Astral Body would be an excellent song to breakdown. If possible, I really recommend listening to the intro Goodbye to Everything as it is such a perfect lead in/smooth transition to the song Astral Body.
