They're very serious about their writing and musicianship, but they clearly don't take themselves too seriously, which is a magical combination.

Not every bit, the latest album was way too "mainstream" (which is a bizarre term in regards to Igorrr), simplistic and coherent compared to the older work.

The composer of igorrr is a musical genius, he is writing all of the music (but his session and live musicians are also fantastic)

fun fact: igorrr is a french musician but language they sing in is completely made up, except for PARPAING when they got George Fisher from cannibal corpse to do vocals.

Spirituality and Distortion will go down as one of the greatest works of metal of all-time. It is one of the most earnestly produced and performed pieces of music in recent memory.

The first time I listened to their song "Musette Maximum" I almost died of laughter. I felt like I was listening to a really good musical joke. Not in the way that they are a joke, but rather that they are professionals intending to make you laugh with musical oximorons. And it's amazing.

Yesss, more Igorrr Please, they are great! The newest record is really good! For example "Downgrade Desert", or older tracks like Opus Brain or IeuD. There is also another band with the same composer and the female singer called "Corpo Mente". Very similar but less crazy and no growls. Also really cool

that look of utter bewilderment at the start followed by you being absolutely over the moon filled me with a kind of indescribable joy. if you do this band again i have a few recommendations: Kung Fu Chevre the final track of igorrr's most recent album and one of my favorites along with Himilayan Massive Ritual. Other than that we have the vocalist solo tracks Grosse Barbe and Tout petit Moineau which show off the monumental talent of the two primary vocalists. (male and female respectively
Also a few things i want to note since they just crossed my mind Igorrr normally features two vocalists Laure Le Prunenec (the woman holding the puppy at the end) and Laurent Lunoir (the main male vocalist) with Gautier Serre often doing sampling and guitar work to fill out and compose the work however with Savage Sinusoid (the album Cheval is on) they decided to minimize sampling so they have a ton of session musicians and guest appearances (notably Travis Ryan of Cattle Decapitation provides guest vocals here). All in all Igorrr is quite the band and lots of fun to listen to if you don't mind the chaos or the fact they don't take themselves too serious
The bass player in this album is pretty incredible. He's only a session musician, but he was the bassist for one of the craziest death metal bands, Spawn of Possession.
uh, spawn also hits different, SoP had 2 or more bass players right? who is this? his thumb was fast as fuck.
YES! Plz do more Igorrr, nothing gets me going quite as intensely as them. It's such a rush that there is nothing else to do but ride it fiercely with a grin. Plus it's a crazy combination of almost everything I love in music, crushed together in a beautiful tragedy.

Igorrr encompasses the most exciting, fun and original sounds I have come across. Extremely powerful and completely contrived.

Himalaya Massive Ritual is probably my favourite song of last year and is off Igorrr's most recent effort. No video that I know of to accompany it but it should keep you interested throughout.
Himalaya Massive Ritual is such a good song! I don’t know if you’ve seen the video Igorrr did where it showed some of the weirdest things he’s made/used for his albums. One of them was a propane tank cut in half and welded back together that made the sounds at the very beginning of Himalaya Massive Ritual. So cool to watch.
It's one of their more normal songs yet it's my absolute favorite too

Dour Festival 2014 Igorrr - Tout Petit Moineau. This is my love for ever! 😊😊😊
Igorr is easily one of my favorite discoveries of the past few years. They have so many unique and amazing songs. Himalayan Massive Ritual is great and Downgrade Desert is still one of my favorites.
Also check out the band Corpo Mente if you haven't already. The female singer and main guitarist/producer from Igorrr making more mellow but still uniquely intense compositions with a few other musicians. My favorite has to be the live studio recording of Dorma. Too bad they only did one album.
'Drip' by Tigran Hamasyan and the Berklee Musical Ensemble, jazzy metal epic with Armenian traditional folk and mouth percussion, it's a live studio recording and you will be blown away.
Igorrr are brilliant. Its pretty much a solo project really.

It took a while for me, but about a month ago Igorrr just clicked for me and I've listened to their albums almost every day since then. And absolutely love it.

It makes me nothing but happy to see Igorrr spread everywhere. I've been listening to Gautierre Serre's work since his first two albums came out. He and his crew of collaborators have only improved over the years.
