It physically hurts to watch this video because of all the horrible stuff that is happening to our world and the fact that the big corporations who are mainly responsible for this are actually protected by governments. The feeling of being powerless is just overwhelming. It's so saddening and disgusting.
Really? Dude idk this song just isn’t it to me. I think into the storm and Born for one thing are okay. But, nothing yet on that album is like omg yes!
Amazonia!! This track by Gojira clearly reminded me of Sepultura and some recent Alice in Chains productions. So glad to see this environmental matter turning out into a global discussion, but at the same time so sad to see the Amazon jungle burning at unprecedent rates... as a Brazilian who used to visit the Amazon at least twice a year, it's just heartbreaking to see this nature's miracle disappearing in front of our eyes. Problems there are so complex to solve and we really need it to be a global matter. Thanks Gojira!
Many bands write and perform for good causes, but it is fairly rare that someone takes it to the level that Gojira has here - they have been and still are in direct contact, working with the tribes, they are divulging and fundraising for the amazon and for the people that need it, they are teaming up with tons of other amazing bands to contribute, riling up the troops, etc. They are not only calling to the listener to make a difference like a lot of bands do, they are leading the charge as individuals. That's why this is so sick. Thank you for working toward getting this unblocked, and congrats on succeeding.
Amazônia!! Also, I really digged into your perspective about not only the environmental awareness that Gojira brings, but also the "reality and existence" awareness as a whole. As a person who took it further being on psychosis two times in my life, being struggling with the coherence about the relations and structures of all of our History, Culture and Technology as Human Beings, experiences like hearing Gojira, seeing you reaction, reading the comments, people liking it and internalizing the experiences, that / this is transcendental. However, what bothers me the most is that this is like a privilege for most of the people around the world because they are not only struggling to maintain, coercitively, this nocive and toxic structure of socioeconomics but are occupied trying to survive, you know? And this kind of experience has no place in their lives, or is replaced with placebos and religions, which I understand the values too but they serve as a way to drain energy and philosofical thinking aswell, taking advantage over those people's suffering. We really need more true involvement and care with each other and our reality, not embelishment and stuff disguising irresponsibility. Keep it up!
In the outro of the song one thing that I hear and really like is the snare drum, if you listen closely you can hear the drummer alternates from hitting the snare and, I believe, hitting the snare and rim causing a "POP", then a "POP" with a metallic echo, could be done with effects also, but either way it's a little hook at the end of the song for me. Awesome video!
Thank you for getting the message out that the block was lifting! Loving the really heavy breakdown of this track- I'm so stoked for when the album finally drops! Hey, some stoner metal/ sludge metal song recs: Sleep "Marijuanaut's Theme" (Goofy name, I know! Give it a listen you will NOT regret it!) Elder "The Falling Veil" (Highly underappreciated band!) I love watching/listening to you break down the music and pay respects to the musicianship. Its also cool to you sort of "getting into" what you're hearing. There's not much else that tickles a metalheads heart than turning someone onto metal or introducing someone a new song and them liking it.

There’s fire in the sky You’re in the Amazon The greatest miracle Is burning to the ground! Love this song! Even though it sinks my heart 😥 It does however reaffirm my mission to restore and preserve native prairie & wetlands on the family land I grew up on in south east South Dakota, USA. The American tall grass prairies have been over 99% destroyed and restoring & preserving this tiny 200 acre remnant is merely a speck in something that once spanned over many millions of acres. The fact the Amazon is heading the way of the American prairies is heartbreaking. Also enjoy your breakdown videos, keep it up!

Great reaction and analysis dude! Check out the video they made alongside this song Amazonia about the fundraiser they're doing to protect the indigenous people of the Amazon. They're auctioning off gear, artwork from the drummer, and they got contributions from Robert Trujillo (current bassist of Metallica) for stuff to auction - and all the proceeds go straight to indigenous activists for the Amazon. These guys ain't playin' around and I love them for it.
Amazonia!! I just love your reviews! The human side of the song, plus the intensity of the video really touches us in the center of our soul. Specially for Brazilian’s like me. That kind of fight your generation fought so hard to present to the world during the 80’s and 90’s can’t be forgotten. And the music is a powerful toll to promote it. Keep tour good work with your awesome reviews! By the way, I’ll pay more attention to the bass lines next time I listen to the song (which is now).

It physically hurts to watch this video because of all the horrible stuff that is happening to our world and the fact that the big corporations who are mainly responsible for this are actually protected by governments. The feeling of being powerless is just overwhelming. It's so saddening and disgusting.
Amazonia!! Love it as always!
Really? Dude idk this song just isn’t it to me. I think into the storm and Born for one thing are okay. But, nothing yet on that album is like omg yes!
@@benluna6158 totally, so far is just an ok record
@@ignaciojauregui7423 yeah dude that’s what I think! They haft to atleast have one song on the album that is amazing right? They haft to
Keep it up!
Check out The Chant, but try to find a video that has Fortitude as the intro
In the outro of the song one thing that I hear and really like is the snare drum, if you listen closely you can hear the drummer alternates from hitting the snare and, I believe, hitting the snare and rim causing a "POP", then a "POP" with a metallic echo, could be done with effects also, but either way it's a little hook at the end of the song for me. Awesome video!
What a track!! *heart broken* Gojira are THE BEST!
I wasn't gonna listen to this song until the album dropped, but can't resist your reactions dude, so fuck it here goes 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Before this album was announced I joked to my friend that Gojira’s next song was gonna be called “amazon on burn.”
Thank you for getting the message out that the block was lifting! Loving the really heavy breakdown of this track- I'm so stoked for when the album finally drops!
Hey, some stoner metal/ sludge metal song recs:
Sleep "Marijuanaut's Theme" (Goofy name, I know! Give it a listen you will NOT regret it!)
Elder "The Falling Veil" (Highly underappreciated band!)
SLIFT "Ummon" (French up-and-comers. Really promising group!)
Speaking of french bands, here is another one : hangman's chair. They Just released a few days ago their last song from their next album. The song is cold & distant, you should give it a try 😉
Something about the way you break down songs is refreshing, i could watch your videos all day and never get bored. Thanks for all the great content
AMAZONIA!! Such an epic song glad you got it unblocked - at least long enough for some of us to see it!🤙🏻🤙🏻
I love watching/listening to you break down the music and pay respects to the musicianship. Its also cool to you sort of "getting into" what you're hearing. There's not much else that tickles a metalheads heart than turning someone onto metal or introducing someone a new song and them liking it.
I am a Brazillian and I am thankful to what Gojira did for all those organizations trying to help Amazonia. They are doing the work our government should be doing! Thanks Gojira.
The mouth harp is called murchunga in my country Nepal
amazonia!! those guys are so nice, they're even raising money for the amazon people
Amazonia!! Great breakdown as usual. Appreciate your insights.
This is so on point! Glad the bass player is getting the recognition he deserves.
To what you said about self-engineering: Joe (vocalist) co-owns Silver Cord Studios in New York with Elliott Hoffman (Car Bomb drummer)
Great tune! Worthy message.
If you liked that try some old school Sepultura- Roots bloody roots-
Soulfly - Ritual
Nailbomb , Point blank
Wonder what you’ll make of Max Cavalera (and his brother)! Aloha🤙🏻
These guys have always been one of my favorites and knowing the impact they’re making on the world with songs and efforts like this make me so happy! Thanks for doing a breakdown on this one! Amazonia!!
C'était une belle réaction. Message, images, paroles qui prennent aux tripes. Colère, tristesse. Cocktail émotionnel.
It's such a great sounding song. I have not listened to this group much (yet), but this one is so impressive
You’re in for a treat :)
Ну послушай ещё, не пожалеешь)
@@getstickbugged_lol950 последний альбом уже заслушал) предыдущие пока часто тяжеловатыми кажутся
Amazonia!! Great reaction - glad I caught it! These guys just keep getting better and better!
They also did a lil song named 'Of Blood and Salt' which has some of the best guest artists ever, that was the only song they saved from a lost [broken harddrive] 'Sea Shepherd' EP.
'"The Chant" is another really emotional song from Gojira's new album- Fortitude. Would love to see your take on it.
Tribal music mixes very nicely with metal music.
I adore that you actually have VALUE in your content. Other react videos are generally completely vacant view grabs.
Thank you!
This song gives me the feeling to hear a accusation in musical form. It fits the theme and the lyrics perfectly.
I honestly don't know how to describe this except "powerful". And proof that there is good out there, which is powerful in itself.
There’s fire in the sky
You’re in the Amazon
The greatest miracle
Is burning to the ground!
Love this song! Even though it sinks my heart 😥
It does however reaffirm my mission to restore and preserve native prairie & wetlands on the family land I grew up on in south east South Dakota, USA.
Gojira has always been all about the Earth and Nature beside the fact that they are awesome musicians and I love their sound, they are environmentalists to the core and its what we love about them. Metal Art at its finest. this song is FIRE! I cannot wait to receive my limited edition vinyl of this album! love you KOG!
They have always had environmental issues and social issues. And we're up for it, we love it! For example Silvera is about veganism. So don't hesitate talking about "politics". Atleast when it comes to this band. Much love, Geebz you're the best.
Next up for you, Gojira- The Chant
Early Sepultura vibe at the start. So good.
AMAZONIA!! love gojira! be well geebz! and thank you for sharing this! \m/
They are also doing a fundraiser raffle for the indigenous peoples of the Amazon. Check it out a lot of signed memorabilia from the band members and other metals bands on their website
Very clever that the chorus we remember is "the greatest miracle, is burning to the ground". Very hard and sad to forget every time you listen that the Amazon dies more every day.
Very smart activism through music and subliminal messages.
Gojira is truly a wonderful band
This song is awesome and has some echo of Sepultura's "Roots Bloody roots". Regarding environmental concern song, you should try HArakiri by Serj Tankian (System of a Down's lead singer)
Both awesome references! I left a comment about Roots Bloody Roots too.
Amazonia!!
Gojira 4ever! Support them in any way! Also watch Gojira into the storm! awesome!
This is just so powerful, from the lyrics, musicianship, and imagery. Just so powerful!
Reminds me a bit of Sepultura during ‘Roots’ period
This track is such a banger
Amazonia!! Going to their show in Chattanooga TN in September. Absolutely can't wait! I'm an old head in metal but somehow missed these guys through the years. Just discovered them about a year ago and have to say they're probably my favorite band now. Love their writing and message and in interviews they seem to be genuinely great people.
See ya there!
@@davidnoland522 that's cool bro!
This master piece is deep and very powerfull.
that modulation makes me cry every time. AMAZONIA!!
Absolutely love your heartfelt and emotional reviews.
its different kind of enjoyment,... honestly... it is crushing.
Man, I really fucking appreciate you doing this video and voicing your thoughts on the subject matter as well as the music.
YESSSSS!!! So glad to see some new Gojira material decomposing 🙏🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥
Just woke up and saw this!! What a way to start the day!! That's 2 Gojira tracks this week! Thanks Geebz!!!!
Gojira is amazing; and the Amazonia project is something worth looking into and donating to, for anyone who has the means right now.
My first time to EVER hear Gojira believe it or not... Holy S**t! INCREDIBLE bass line and beat... that timing.
