So, I'll start by saying that I REALLY enjoyed your analysis of this...and I'm pausing at 6:50 to compliment you, and the band, for drawing you into the adventure they wanted you to go on with them...let me explain: As you describe the "travel check", of them bringing you along without going full steam, I couldn't help but smile to myself and think "oh, dude, you're walking RIGHT into it...it's about to happen!" You see, I love Gojira, I think they're the heavy metal leaders in the world right now, and this song in particular is perhaps their most creative piece as far as showcasing the depth of their musical ability as a cohesive unit. There's a looming presence in this song, one with some borderline viking/mongolian undertones of the low, open throat vocals, and almost a feel of old school chanting music. It's an ominous feel, that stays in the lower register, and then the song smacks you in the face with an operatic entrance into stadium-type volumes. I can't say enough good things about this song, and I really, REALLY appreciate your review of it. The song clearly lets you know that "things aren't right" for the beginning, and at 7:00 of your video, it's show time - all the drama, all the buildup, and all of the groundwork comes to fruition in what feels like a bad dream come true...a menacing event to the ears. These guys are truly masters of their craft, and you sir, are truly a master of appreciating the craft of these types of musicians. You've gained a subscriber for sure, and I look forward to watching more of your videos!

I would love for you to do a video on how different tones effect a person because I would definitely love to hear your perspective on that. Its an interesting phenomenon that I'm not sure a lot of people recognize is happening (or at least don't attribute it to music/sounds - or maybe it doesn't happen to everyone, I don't know.
Your videos kept appearing in my feed and I love them! I also love some of the insights into composition and production/engineering theory. You’re reactions are great to watch and so genuine! Greetings from the UK. 🤙🏼
Man! This is such a treat to listen to. And not just the song itself, not because I was a fan of Gojira already and someone is analyzing and praising a thing I like, no, the presentation of the Key of Geebz is so informative and comprehensive, understandable! I loved watching his reactions and listening to his explanations and deconstruction. Informative and entertaining. Great!
You are my new favorite reaction channel. Been watching your Tool breakdowns which is a band I adore, but Gojira is my favorite band, and I've always been really into music, so your breakdowns really help me understand more and grow my own understanding of songs I love! Keep going with Gojira, so many good songs!
One of my all-time favorite songs by one of my favorite bands. This song already spoke to me on so many levels, but I love how your take on it let me hear things I didn't fully appreciate before.
So stoked to see you've done this. Gojira is my absolute favorite band! Idk how to recommend you a song because I have too many favs, but one of the most musically impressive and gorgeous is Gojira's Global Warming off the From Mars to Sirius album. Also Mario, the drummer, is absolutely ridiculous. He's a monster.

There seems to bee a million sub-genres of metal and it is so awesome to hear articulate breakdowns of phrases that draw such emotion. Your channel has the best reaction vids for newbs/musicians alike. Cheers with gummy bears haha
Thanks for helping me have more appreciation for my favorite band. Vacuity would be a great pick for more Gojira. One of their sludgier songs, and some of my favorite lyrics to boot.
Yes Vacuity is great, along with Toxic Garbage Island. I find it hard to get into many other Gojira songs, a lot like Tool, I find they don't really quite achieve what people describe they do, and there is a lot of sameness to their tracks.
This song by Gojira carries within an emotional charge that's both special and characteristic of Gojira. Grats for the content, I also suggest you check out Ulcerate - Stare into death and be still, powerful and intense as it can get
That song by ulcerate is absolutely devastating. Dead oceans is up there too. I'm slowly exploring more of their stuff. I like digesting it one song at a time.
@@MedTechMetal i am a big fan of all of ulcerate discography. But their latest album has a whole new gravitas and maturity about it which is mind blowing. It's the kind of music you'd hear at world's end

Gojira is my fave band. I love watching people hear their songs for the first time.. It is almost giving me an opportunity to hear them for the first time.
I highly recommend their song Magma. The lead part is all pinch harmonics on the third fret but they change where they pick and it changes the note. It blew my mind when I discovered this
Oh man I just discovered this channel! I’d love you to do anything by one of my favorite bands Between The Buried And Me! Prog metal at its finest! Sun of Nothing, Ants of the Sky, White Walls, Selkies the endless obsession nearly all of their songs would make for great reviews!
I'm still here! Geebz, I don't think I have ever posted a comment on a youtube video, but I wanted to say that I love your vibe! Though reaction videos are dime a dozen these days on this platform, I keep on wanting to watch yours because you have a critical, yet super open approach to analyzing the pieces you hear/watch. Suffice it to say, I was not surprised when I looked through your older videos and saw meditation videos and chakra-centered explorations. As a fellow explorer of that realm, I appreciate the simultaneous comfort you bring with your dynamism when you do these videos. Anyhow! I also have 2 recommendations! You have reacted to a few Opeth songs, and I think the song Blackwater Park (from the album of the same name) is a journey you'd super dig! But I also have a non-metal suggestion! Agnes Obel is a wonderful songwriter from Scandinavia and her song Fuel to the Fire has some vibes you have not yet talked about on the channel and I am super curious what you would feel about them!
Aloha Maharban! Thank you so much for your comment. Yea, I have the Namaste thing going too :) Opeth is around the corner and many have been suggesting Blackwater Park. Hang in there!
Grateful to of been able to stumble across this channel. It’s amazing to see, hear & feel the same expressions as Mr. Geebz. A few songs I strongly suggest: “Toxic Garbage Island” “Mouth of Kala” “Art of Dying” maybe even their live performances as well. They sound great live just as they do in their albums. 😎🤘🏽 cheers Geebz! Thank you for sharing!
Hello! I might have a really unique suggestion. Viorar vel til loftarasa - Sigur Ros. The buildup with a combination of piano and bass is just stunning. And then around the end there's a climax with bowed guitar which sound like there are bees swarming through your veins! I recommend you to take a listen on that!
Glad you got back to them. When you get back to the Ocean please listen to Permian the Great Dying and for a new one you have to do Between the Buried and Me, the song Extremophile Elite. Keep up the good work dude.
This is definitely one of my favorite Gojira songs, even if it's a lot more mellow than most of their other stuff. There's a lot of emotion present here that really gets me. Flying Whales is definitely an obvious Gojira track to check out, but my recommendation is A Sight To Behold, which is far and away my all-time favorite. It's pretty incredible.
Here are some Gojira songs for you that I absolutely love: "Where Dragons Dwell"; "The Art of Dying"; "Flying Whales"; "Oroborus"; "Global Warming"; "Backbone"; "Silvera"; "Stranded"; "Magma"; "Pray"; "L'enfant sauvage"; "Gift of Guilt"; "World to Come"; "Ocean Planet"; "Adoration for None"; "The Cell"; "Esoteric Surgery"; "A Sight to Behold"; "All the Tears"; "Vacuity"; and "Explosia". "The Art of Dying" is arguably their toughest song to play, to the point they no longer play it live because it is so hard to play it burnt them out. Gojira is arguably one of the most Technically Proficient bands in Metal right now, and it is amazing to see how well they just play live, my favorite live band. "Born in Winter" is an amazing song to just sit back and listen to.
As many others have pointed out, "The art of dying" by Gojira would lead to a very interesting decomposition. On another note, I'll keep suggesting "Heavyweight" by Infected Mushroom.
"Art of Dying" - Gojira is a must! Commenting for the algorithm.

I would love to see a reaction to The Art of Dying!! This is the best reaction channel going Imo 👍
Hell yeah man! I suggested this song! (Or was potentially one of many) This is such a good one from them.
That video was so perfect for this song! So deep and powerful, flowing and moving....awesome!
Your videos kept appearing in my feed and I love them! I also love some of the insights into composition and production/engineering theory. You’re reactions are great to watch and so genuine! Greetings from the UK. 🤙🏼
Thank you, Russel!
Great!
Such a good breakdown. This song is something special.
To me, All the Tears is one of the most badass songs they've composed. That would be a good one to break down.
The Art of Dying by Gojira is damn near a perfect song.
Dude,....Thank you for giving an honest reaction to all these metal vids. There seems to bee a million sub-genres of metal and it is so awesome to hear articulate breakdowns of phrases that draw such emotion. Your channel has the best reaction vids for newbs/musicians alike. Cheers with gummy bears haha
This was the first Gojira song I heard about a year ago. I'm very thankful I found them..
You're the first reaction that pops up in a general "Gojira" search. Way to go man, love your stuff!
Alright! This was so much fun! That's definitely one of my favorites from that album, however gojira have so many epic songs. 😁🤘🤘🤘
The Cell will blow your mind with the drumming. It breaks mine every time I listen to the tune.
You know it's good when he instantly gets out his pen write lol
That's exactly how I would describe that album. It sure as hell doesn't leave you feeling good lol
One thing I love about this guy is how into music he gets. Like you can tell he has a passion for it just the way he closes his eyes, analyzes the music and just bobs his head. You my friend are a gift!
I’m someone who never comments on anything by anyone, but I really want to let you know this. Your videos are a joy to watch. You have so much insight, passion, open mindedness, and charisma. Thank you for making these!
Man!!! Is very cool how you feel the music, i can see your brain in your face! 🤯
I'd have to put this as my favorite Gojira song. It's absolutely flawless.
GOJIRA! Amazing live! One of the most thoughtful metal bands out there...... Love these masters so much!
never heard of gojira before, this is sick man! thank you for the vid
Puscifer - potions
Elder - Dead roots stirring. So prog. Alright!!!!!!
Keep up it. Hundred thow subs soon. You the man. You am still here
Gojira is an awesome experience
Love this track, was excited to hear your reaction, didn’t disappoint :)
I don't know if it's because of the power of this song, or your reaction (or both) but I laughed so much watching you at 8:15 😂😂
Grateful to of been able to stumble across this channel.
Probably my favorite Gojira song but nobody ever does videos on it. Loved it!
Such an excellent breakdown on what I think is the first one on this song.. love it.
Awesome. Thank you. "Stranded" when you cycle back around please!
Hello! I might have a really unique suggestion. Viorar vel til loftarasa - Sigur Ros. The buildup with a combination of piano and bass is just stunning. And then around the end there's a climax with bowed guitar which sound like there are bees swarming through your veins! I recommend you to take a listen on that!
Analyse intéressante. Cool that you did some Gojira again. It never disappoints. Good job
Glad you got back to them. When you get back to the Ocean please listen to Permian the Great Dying and for a new one you have to do Between the Buried and Me, the song Extremophile Elite. Keep up the good work dude.
what amazes me most about this song is how calm it is and intense at the same time
This is definitely one of my favorite Gojira songs, even if it's a lot more mellow than most of their other stuff. There's a lot of emotion present here that really gets me.
Flying Whales is definitely an obvious Gojira track to check out, but my recommendation is A Sight To Behold, which is far and away my all-time favorite. It's pretty incredible.
I just can't wait to see you react to much much more Gojira! 🤘
I would like to see you do an extended reaction for the music nerds and dive deep into instrumentation, arrangements, and production.
I just love how Geebz listens to the music with his mind's eye to get the full impact . nice ... Gojira is my life....\,,/
As many others have pointed out, "The art of dying" by Gojira would lead to a very interesting decomposition. On another note, I'll keep suggesting "Heavyweight" by Infected Mushroom.
An excellent breakdown, once again! Quality content sir 👍
So glad you did this song. One of their best but I always wished it was longer
Nice! Love this song 😍 Great reaction‼
Thank you!! 😁
@@KeyOfGeebz You're welcome! Looking forward to more Tool and Opeth 😉😁
Such a good pick! I love your takes, keep it up!
